Dear RevDex.com Representative:
We have reviewed the most recent response from [redacted] relating to his
complaint about the VIZIO television that he had purchased.
It is our understanding that Mr. [redacted] has returned the VIZIO television that he
purchased from Sam’s Club, which is the television that is the subject of his
complaint.
As was told to Mr. [redacted], the Amazon Instant Video App that was preloaded on Mr.
Barrett’s television experienced issues due to technical compatibility
difficulties.   This issue has now been resolved and as Mr. [redacted] notes,
the Amazon Instant Video App was fully operational on his television.   
While noting the above, technology products do experience compatibility issues. They
also require updates (typically software updates) to either work or work as
presented.  This is true whether the
product is a smart phone, a computer or other sophisticated consumer
electronics product. It is a fact arising from the open universe of software
and hardware.
The important facts are that the compatibility issue has been resolved. There is no
longer any issue with respect to the operation of the Amazon Instant Video App
on the VIZIO television.  
VIZIO prides itself on customer service and doing what is right for the customer.
VIZIO goes out of its way to ensure that customers are happy with both VIZIO
products and its customer service.
 
We are sorry that Mr. [redacted] experienced this problem. VIZIO always strives to be
better and work harder. It will continue to do so in the future. We hope that
Mr. [redacted] will be a future VIZIO customer.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. this is the third time that I have filed a complaint against vizio about my defective television that was purchased two years ago from [redacted] the television just stopped working due to a power issue that vizio is not taking full responsibility for. I am not the maker of the product I am the displeased consumer who purchased the product. Can someone please contact vizio and ask them for a written response to why they are not taking responsibility for the product. Mr. [redacted] from vizio's corporate office stated that it would be unfair to replace my out of warranty television because of a power issue, because it would not be fair to people with warranties and it could cause them to be sued.I would like my television to be replaced with a new one.

Vizio offered to sell me a new TV at a discounted price. I just purchased the TV I currently have and I feel I should not have to repurchase a new one. I told Vizio I was open to replacement, repair, or refund. They denied my offer stating that it is not covered under their warranty. I have reviewed their warranty and it does not address this issue in any way. I am still open to repair, replacement, or refund.

The reason I am not satisfied is dur to them doing nothing just offering me to buy something from them and being more costly to me on top of what I have already paid all they offered me me was a discounted price from them which I can go and pay the same amount at walmart and not having to have anything shipped and wait , where as if I would have gone with sony , samsung or lg since the beginning they would atleast be able to provide me with a repair not having to buy another tv causing me ginancial hardship . very disappointed and will not buy another vizio tv ever again in my life , anybody looking to buy any electronic save yourself the pain , trouble , headache and go with better brand even if it is a lil more expensive in the long run you save time and money.

They did not read the complaint at all.  They sent me a link to a company, of which I had already tried - pathetic!  There product is only warrantied for a year?  That makes sense because it is a garbage product and their customer service is far worse.  I will gladly contribute to the negative publicity of this product.

This TV is only 5 years old.  Nothing should be wrong with it.  However, since there is, the pieces should be readily available.  It is abundantly clear that you make a crappy product.  Over a $10 piece that I cannot get a hold of, you will not get my business and I will steer as many other people away from your brand as I possibly can.  Dispicable service and product!!!!

VIZIO is unable to meet the Ms. [redacted]’ request of a free replacement television.  The warranty on Ms. [redacted]’ television has expired and in addition the television has suffered a non-manufacturing defect.  VIZIO’s warranty does not extend to non-manufacturing defects. 
In the interest of providing customer satisfaction VIZIO has contacted the Ms. [redacted] and made her an offer to purchase a replacement television at a discounted price.  This is the only offer VIZIO is able to provide at this time.

I am only accepting this response because vizio did contact me and stated they will offer me a recertified television. Depending on if this tv is in new condition when it is received as promised, I may contact Revdex.com again. Thank you.

The representative I initially spoke with told me to push and reset TV
I did this and thatis when the other issue started. When 
I spoke with thelast person 2 weeks ago he would not acknowledge that the issue was anything they told me to do. This TV is less than a year old . Offering me of paying $250.00 is not a feasible option.

Response to dates question, the original TV was purchased Nov. 2013. The original TV lasted 10 months and fail for blue line on screen and replaced under warranty. This second TV has not lasted a year and Vizio says they other offer the warranty  from original TV date, not the replacement. This...
