The Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty do not cover initial install and only covers labor after the following criteria has been met: “LIMITED LIABILITY FOR ENGINES: Parts and labor warranty begins on the 14th day & 501st mile after the part is installed.” Therefore, regardless of whether or not the complainants Free Warranty had been activated the initial install labor would not be covered nor would our representatives elude it was We sent out the replacement engine free of charge on 3/2/and the Warranty was activated on 3/10/for the replacementWe now consider this claim closed for the time being

The customer had the part shipped to them on 3-5- Under the Terms and Condition of the Free Warranty it states "The engine must be installed within days of its receipt." and the customer must submit the warranty for activation We require this due to the fact many customers will let the engine set in unknown conditions, such as damp conditions or uncovered, which could cause damage to the engine before installation We did not hear from the customer until 9-14-with the complaints mentioned The customer then attempted to submit the warranty activation on 9-22-well beyond the time allowed The customer did not follow the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty and therefore was denied their claim accordingly We strongly encourage all customers when making a purchase of this value to follow the Terms and Conditions as clearly and prominently detailed in every step of the process to avoid these situationsHad the customer followed the steps required, this would most likely not be an issue if qualified for a warranty claim

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The business has not responded to the original complaint as to why they were sending the needed items to repair the motor per their warrantyThe mechanic that installed the motor purchased from them followed the instructions from them to the letter, per line of their warranty the engine could not be opened and inspected without their prior written authorization without voiding the warranty for the engineSW Engines stated they have a year warranty on the engine, and from an exterior inspection the engine did not have any leaks around the oil pedestal OR the head gasketIn contacting the business I had been informed on phone (which they record their phone calls per their on hold message) they had all things needed for repair of the engine ready to ship to me, and they placed a stop work order for those items.At this point I have done everything they have requested to enforce my warranty for this engine, I am out the diagnostic fee and potentially $for install of a head gasket plus price of part, and even more for the oil pedestal and labor to install that.after having spent over $for this engine and it is not even a year old, it has not overheated and am watching it daily for oil level I feel that the least they can do is honor their warranty.Since they infer in their response the engine was not inspected they are putting out a warranty on an engine and then laying all responsibility on mechanic and purchaser and basically stating the warranty and engine are as is.I purchased the engine from them because of the warranty and good price, I am aware that things can happen but they need to forward me the parts and the money to have these items installed on the engine, the parts are not accessories but intricate parts of the engine and its function Regards, [redacted]

The complainant purchased an engine from us which we sent out to him which we had to have sent back to usWe did send out the complainant another engine and they disputed the charges of the engine to their credit card companyThe complainant did not feel we sent them an engine with the correct milage from what we sold themPer the Terms and Conditions of our Free Warranty: Line 14: "The stated mileage is not guaranteed and is correct to the best of our knowledge." Also, per Line of our Free Warranty: "Warranty does not cover initial installation." http://www.swengines.com/warranty.phpWe to the best of our ability sent the complainant an engine with the correct mileage statedthe complainant also stated that the engine had an oil leak, but per the terms and conditions of our Free Warranty, "Leaking gaskets or seals are not covered." Until the dispute with the complainants credit card company is completed, we will not move forward with a resolutionWe hope this closes this matter and any issues going forward

The complainant requested a refund for an alleged engine that was not working properlyWe did send out the complainant another engine and they stated that the second engine also allegedly was not working properlyWe did decide to refund the client the amount owed back to themWe did send out a straight refund to the complainant on 5/26/for the full amount of $with no restocking or shipping fees We hope this helps clear up the matter as the complainant did get a refund and this should close this matter

Upon further investigation, we found the Representatives did not have all the facts correct and thought there were installsHence the reason for the amount which was conveyed to the customer Per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty, the first install is not covered regardless of a failure However, the second install is covered and we have sent the check out today via USPS We apologize for the confusion and hope this will help

The complainant was sent a replacement and we did not hear back until we saw the complaint here according to our records However, if a replacement is still needed for a second engine the complainant can contact the Warranty Department by calling 1(866)319-extor sending an email to [email protected] Once we have made contact we can proceed from there to resolve the issue

The complainant ordered via the phone and the type they requested was ordered and entered correctlyThey did get a receipt emailed to them which they agreed toTo get a replacement transmission the complainant will have to pat the shipping and restocking fee and any additional charges for the difference of the transmissionWe will be more than happy to help the complainant get the updated transmission they are needing
