Mr*** called in and we let him know his mechanic did not submit all the documents needed to initiate a claim We simply explained to Mr*** he needed to submit the Installation Invoice, pics of the Transmission Seals and Filter, pics of the Odometer, proof of the Cooler Line Flush and a
Shop Diagnostic Report to make sure all the proper maintenance has been done as per the Terms and Conditions of the Warranty We clearly provide this in the email supplied when customers submit a claim When we explained this to Mr *** he immediately became irate and started yelling obscenities at the Representative We are still asking for the items mentioned above and will be more than happy to review the claim once we have received the items needed

We had offered to switch transmissions for Mrs***, but with all of her screaming and foul mouth and calling us names we do not like to be degraded and treated like an animal, so we had to end the phone calls from her several timesShe now has disputed her charge and has all of her money back,
also has of our transmissions

The complainant agreed to the Terms and Condition of the sale before the actual purchase as all customers must do in the ordering process The Terms and Conditions of the Sale which is prominently displayed and uses a check box to insure the customer has read them before making the purchase,
clearly states: "All returned parts or cancelled orders are subject to a 25% handling and restocking fees plus customer assumes all shipping costs." http://engineshopper.com/warranty.phpTherefore, this fee was put into effect when the complainant returned the order The total refunded to the complainant was $which was left over from the shipping and restocking feeWe are simply following the Terms and Conditions which the complainant agreed to when purchasing

The engine is defective and needs replacemnet parts;invoice attached innumerating what is needed

Mr*** cannot provide any proof that he had cancelled the order, so therefore should be responsible for the freight like he had agreed to per terms and conditions formAlso Mr*** had disputed his charge and already has had his money back for a few months now

The engine was shipped out between business times but the complainant refused the engine upon delivery. shipping times are between 7-business days from when the order was placedWe state "Typical shipping time usually takes between 7-business days, but could be a little longer due to unusual circumstances (such as weather, volume, etc.)" http://www.qualityusedengines.com/faq.html. The complainant has disputed the charges with their credit card company so we are currently waiting on a response to the outcome of the disputeOnce the dispute has been resolved, we will take the appropriate action congruent to the outcome and work to handle this situation and close the matter

Mrs *** had ordered an engine from us just on June 28, She had called back to cancel the order on July 2, unfortunately we had already pulled the engine out of the vehicle and got it ready for shipping and we had charged her a 25% handling and restocking fee because that is under
the terms and conditions that she had signed and agreed to

We already talked to *** *** on June 8, 2015, he had called us and complained about the alternator bracket being brokeUnfortunately we do not sell alternator brackets, they are not covered under warranty as for we only warranty the engine itself and non of the bolt on items

We have reviewed the customer complaint and cannot waive the restocking fee We typically only waive the restocking fee within a hour period and in this case it was around days We never tells customers the engine is shipped and ready to go and always quote 7-business days for
shipping as a strict rule This customer did agree to the Terms and Conditions which is required for all customers before making a purchase which is standard issue in internet ordering For this purpose we do not take phone orders to completion and require all customers to complete the purchase via the web site purchasing portal

I contacted Quality Used Engines through a message on their web portal, and I contacted someone named *** before the days was up to notify Quality Used Engines that the engine they sent me was defective, and I requested to *** that the engine be replaced or they can refund the monies I paidI did not activate the warranty because the engine was defective up arrival, and it would not remain running so I could activate the warrantyIn addition, as I stated to ***, the engine was sent out to me defective and should not require a warranty claim because they sent me a defective engineI have attached a copy of the diagnostics report from an ASE Certified Technician stating that the engine was defective, and it was received in that manner.Prior to the day warranty activation, I spoke with Quality Used Engines twice, the owner of Gold Star Automotive spoke with Quality Used Engines twice in an effort to resolve this problemDuring those times it now appears that Quality Used Engines was dragging this out in an effort to say the warranty was not activatedAt no time did they bring up that we had to activate the warranty on a defective engine they sent me, in fact I was told by *** that they have to contact the place they purchased the engine from because they sent them a bad engine (this message was recorded, and I have a copy of it).The third party who performed the diagnostics on the engine also contacted them in an effort to resolve this manner, and he was told that Quality Used Engines do not cover the intake on the engineThis does not not make any sense, I provided all of the details including the VIN number to Quality Used Engines to identify my vehicle and the type of engine it requiredI paid them in good faith for a replacement engine that works, but they sent me an engine that was defectiveI have checked and saved the requirements listed on their web site about the steps required to replace engineAll of the steps was followedIt appears to me that Quality Used Engines is trying to weasel out of their responsibility of provided me a engine that works.

please let us know exactly what parts were damaged

The complainant is alleging the engine that was purchased was not steam clean and compression tested Per the Terms and Conditions of our Free Warranty: Line 15: Although GOE makes every effort to make the part look as nice as possible before it ships no warranty or guarantee is made
towards the appearance of that parthttp://www.gotengines.com/warranty.html the complainant also requested a history report and that can be obtained by emailing their request to [email protected] do not have any proof in the form of images or such from the complainant that the engine purchased was not cleaned and not compression testedEach engine is compression tested and must pass before they are sent out to the customerPer line of the Free Warranty: All returned parts or cancelled orders are subject to a 25% handling and restocking fees plus customer assumes all shipping costs If the complainant wants to return their engine there will be a 25% restocking fee plus shippingthe complainant was well aware of the Terms and Conditions of the warranty when they placed the order for the engineWe hope this clears up the matter and closes this case

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]The response by Quality Used Transmission is untrue. I did not call to report the torque converter was missing- the complete transmission was delivered in a little more than a week to my local Selma Honda Service CenterI called Quality to report that the transmission failed during the Honda mechanic's test drive as stated in my original claimQuality offered no apology for the defective trans but did grudgingly offer to send a replacement when I was finally able to contact the Warranty rep (who seldom answered his phone and failed to return any of my many calls)I had already been without the car for ten days so opted to request a refund and buy a warranted transmission from the Honda shop to expedite the istallationThe warranty rep then stated that I would receive the refund as soon as they received the defective transmission. When the shipper arrived at Honda, he refused to accept the transbecause it was not adequately mounted on the palate and refused to wait while the Honda parts shop secured itHonda spent a significant amount of time and effort remounting the part and rescheduled the pickup which finally occurred a few days later (mid to late May)I heard nothing from Quality throughout this ordeal and again was unable to contact the warranty department.I finally received the attached email yesterday, July stating that they had credited my credit card account for the $purchase priceTHERE HAS BEEN NO REFUND ISSUED TO MY ACCOUNT.The statement by Quality that I failed to register the warranty and furnish a photo of my odometer is correctI was unable to do so because Quality requires that the installation be completed prior to registeringThe installation was never completed= the transmission failed during the test driveThe Warranty Manager at Quality also stated that the warranty was not in effect because the car had not been driven for two weeks after the installation! All the nonsense about broken lines, filters, improper installation is ridiculous- this installation was completed by a certified Honda dealer and Quality knew that from the beginning- they shipped the part to Honda. The facts are as I have stated and can be verified by the Honda Service Technician/ Service Adviser at:Selma HondaSelma Auto MallAuto Mall DriveSelma, CA 93622(559)891- ( ask switchboard for Honda Service)Service Technician: *** ***Service Adviser: *** ***atch: Quality Claimed Refund

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]I previously stated that I ordered a 650i rear wheel drive (RWD) engineThat can be seen from the attachment provided. They delivered what they called a compatible engine without getting my confirmationI have nothing that tells me the year or mileage of the engine they deliveredThey violated the contract by changing my orderWhen my mechanics attempted to install the engine it did not fit into my carThey had to stop work and contact me regarding the issueI in turn had to contact Quality to discuss why I did not receive the engine I paid for from their quoteAs they said their reply was that I needed to replace the oil pan to make itThat required an additional $worth of work that was not in my original contractThere was nothing in my contract about altering the engine in any way to make it fitThey refused to replace the engineI had to haven the engine oil pan removed from both my engine and the engine they sentIn the mean time my mechanics were busy with other workthey could not get to working on my vehicle for a couple of days in addition to the time it took me to contact QualityThe delays caused by the unexpected alteration caused my mechanics to miss the installation requirement to activate the warrantyThat is why a claim was not filedThey need to take responsibility for their improper actions both delivering the wrong engine and the alterations required to make it fit my carI expect to be reimbursed because I did not receive the product I ordeded

Our policy for shipping/delivery times is as stated on the website: “On average, pending volume and weather, time for shipping takes approximately 7-business days.” The complainant called in on the 10th business day and wanted to cancel the orderIn reference to the above policy, the volume of
orders this time of year is very high which was explained. Regardless, the complainant wanted to cancel and was informed of the 25% restocking which is agreed to when purchasing under the Terms and Conditions. Therefore, we have refunded the complainant $2,($2280-25% Restocking Fee) on March 7th 2016. We regret the complainant made this choice and was not more patient as outlined by our Delivery PolicyWe consider this matter closed as the complainant should be receiving the credit back on the card in 3-business days as is the policy of the majority of Credit Card companies
