The complainant is requesting reimbursement/refund of $for an alleged faulty engine purchased on 8/10/We did ship out the engine to the complainant on 8/26/and alleged the engine “blew up” two months after installationThe complainant never did install the free warranty within the 10-day grace period per our recordsPer the Terms and Conditions of our Free Warranty: Line 10: “Engine or transmission must be installed AND warranty activated within business days of delivery OR ALL WARRANTIES WILL VOIDEDFalsifying information will automatically void your warranty.” http://engineshopper.com/warranty.php The Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty also state additional limitations for the warranty to remain in effect: “Engine oil and filter MUST be changed at the first 1,miles after installation and remaining oil and filter changes to follow manufacturers suggested schedule(Official Service Center Records must be kept - No personal maintenance records are accepted(Hand written etc.)” http://engineshopper.com/warranty.php From when the engine was purchased to when the complainant called in on 12/5/2016, there was roughly over miles put on the engineThere is no record of an oil change being made from the time the engine was installed to when the complainant called us on 12/5/stating alleged engine issuesDue to the fact that the free warranty was not activated within the 10-day time period and no oil change was ever made on the engine, we denied the claim made by the complainant on 12/7/and no replacement engine was shipped out to the complainantPlease let us know if you need any further assistance in resolving this matter, but we will assume this matter closed for the aforementioned reasons

the complainant did order an engine on 12/28/in the ammount of $the complainant called us back on 1/3/to cancel their orderPer the Terms and Conditions of our Free Warranty: Line 3: "All returned parts or cancelled orders are subject to a 25% handling and restocking fees plus customer assumes all shipping costs." [redacted] Since the complainant canceled their order we did refund the complainant back $of the overall amount paid to cover the 25% restocking feethe complainant did file a dispute with their credit card company which was deniedWe hope this closes this matter and any issues going forward

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I understand about the warranty on the engine, however, the issue is I have never been given proof that this was a low-mileage engine I paid addition premium for a low-mileage engine When the mechanic too the engine apart, the engine, he determined that the engine had well over the mileage that I paid for and, in his opinion, the engine sent to me was in worse condition than the engine it was replacing Quality Used Engines has never provided me with proof that they sent me the low mileage engine that I paid for They have no way of proving it to me What I paid for and what I got were two different things It cost me money to have the bad engine installed and more money to have it uninstalled so that I could be sent the correct one I have made numerous phone calls to QUE management only to be treated very badly and hung up on If they provided a quality part at a quality price as per their claims, this would never happen Regards, [redacted]

Mr [redacted] had ordered a engine for a Chevy pick up truck and it was sent in a timely mannerChevy had different style engines that year and we unfortunately sent the wrong style engineSo we had picked up the wrong engine and sent him the correct engineWe did not know if Mr [redacted] was looking for extra parts, for we only sell the engine itself

Mr [redacted] had ordered an electrical assist motor for a Honda Civic back on April 14, and we had pulled it out of a vehicle for Mr [redacted] with in reasonable timeWe had called his mechanic to verify if he needed the electrical assist motor or if he needed the actual gasoline enginebecause the electrical assist motors never go out and we have never sold one of thoseWe had gave him the price for the gasoline engine the was about a dollar price differenceHe refused to believe that, as we explained it to him over and over againMr [redacted] could not comprehend what we were trying to tell him, he just kept going on and on very aggresivlely trying to talk over us and insisting that he was right, threatening us, and using profanities, and twisting everything around and saying that he was the victim

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The issue regarding the warranty not being activated, occurred due to their lack of email responseI included in several of my emails to SW Engines requests on how to activate the warranty because the instructions stated I needed the paperwork that accompanied the engineThere is no info in the accompanied paperwork about the warranty activationSo I included requests for assistance in activating the warranty with my initial complaint about the motorFurthermore the website states every engine is tested prior to shippingIf this was the case why would the issues not be disclosed at that timeThis creates a expectation and the motor was installed and the leaks were unable to be noticed without running the motorAs the motor was installed it had to be uninstalled and fixed and re installedCreating a substantial expenditure over the regular costAnd hence forth this created an extended installation timeWhich is what also contributed to the warranty activation time frame being extendedI still request a refund even if it be for the billable hrs needed to uninstall and re install the more due to their failure to disclose the issues prior to deliveryI also request the warranty to date and in the future be fully activated and accepted by SW Engines due to their lack of clarity an unreasonable expectations of installationI further submit that the installation was done by a accredited and certified garage that will support my claims that the company should have had knowledge of the issues with the motor and certify that the motor was installed as soon as scheduling allowed at that facilityI request that my complaint be reopened and submitted to the company for reviewSincerely [redacted] ***

The complainant ordered a transmission in March of The complainant states the original transmission ordered was allegedly badThe complainant states the transmission was leaking badlyWe did end up sending out additional transmissions to the complainant and in the end the complainant states either the transmissions sent were allegedly broken or not for their type of vehicleThe complainant has also filed a charge back with the credit card company and has won the charge back in the amount of $Due to the charge back this matter is closed when it comes to the money the complainant is requestingWe would like to state that the complainant still has our product and to the date of this letter we do not have our products backWe would request that the complainant please provide our product back to us as they have gotten their money back from their credit card company and we would deem this matter resolved

As the complainant has stated the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty state on Line 1: “Engine warranties are limited to manufacturing defects in the block, heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, rockers, and oil pumpsWe do not warranty any attached accessory parts, such as switches, sensors, cables, electronics, belts, hoses, water pumps, manifolds, wire harnesses, valve covers, brackets, flywheel etc.” It is also stated on line 15: “We do not warranty oil leaks/damage on engines or transmissions due to non-replaced seals, gaskets or filters.” We clearly do not warranty gaskets and should be inspected by the mechanic and replaced if deemed necessary with all of our enginesWe believe the complainant is confused in thinking he ordered a rebuilt engine and not a used engine as we advertise, offer and supply No Used Engine supplier tears apart an engine and replaces gaskets and bolts as the complainant suggest we should doThis would be referred to as a rebuilt engine if this was the case which typically cost considerably moreWe supply only used engines as clearly and prominently stated on our site and by our representatives when calling in We apologize if there was confusion on this order, but we do everything we can to ensure our customers are getting a used engine and what is involved with choosing this product

Mr [redacted] had ordered an engine from us on and we had sent him the low mile engine that he had orderedWe have the vin number of the vehicle that it came out of also we have a video of the engine running in the car before we had pulled it out and it does not make any kind of noises that Mr [redacted] had describedSo out of good faith with out any verification from any shop, we had sent Mr [redacted] a replacement engineUnfortunatly he did not go through the extended warranty activation process to become eligible for a labor claim, and there is nothing we can do for him on the laborHowever on good faith we still sent Mr [redacted] a relacement engine and he has been taken care of

The customer never provided suffice int proof to his claim Our records indicate the engine had approximately 68,miles as advertised and sold under We do not pull records for the car and simply go by what is stated on the odometer when the engine is pulled from the car Any of our sales people will explain this one calling in and inquiring as we do not try to hide this fact Often we do not have records for the car due to the actual car being scrapped after all the parts are pulled from the car so it can be very difficult and at times impossible to locate these records If the customer had found an actual defect or was able to prove the claim, we would of gladly sent out a replacement at no charge even though it is not covered under the Free Warranty Therefore, we cannot refund when the customer has no proof of their claimThe customer was denied the charge back from his Credit Card for the same reason as you must provide proof when making such claims

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have been a mechanic for years,I know what a liter VFord engine looks likeI asked to see a picture of the engine I was purchasingI was never told the picture was only a "representation", I would never have purchased if I wasn't told I was seeing the "Actual" engineThis is classic bait and switchAttached are some pictures and I have an original email with the company in which they ask for a list and pictures of the items missing or damaged that "need to be taken care of", but then they come back with "looks fine to us"Even to an untrained eye, my pictures show among other things, something as basic as bolts missing
