Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11831503, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The response by Engines LLC is and is unresponsive to the issue complained of.The vendor advertised and sold a transmission as "tested and functional"It was not functional, and not testedI paid the installer double the labor costs due to the vendor selling bad merchandise, and using pretenses to effect a sale.I have attached the report here from my installer detailing the problem with the first transmission shipped and sold as tested and functional. The seller tries to rely on the fact that their stated warranty does not apply because I did not drive the non-functional transmission for miles.Seller should be banned from doing business entirely and should also be investigated for advertising and deceptive practices.Attached are the three documents outlining the issues with the double installation costs, defective transmission issue, and request for reimbursement Regards, Anthony [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Though the "Damaged" ( not alleged damaged ) parts are not under warranty, that was NOT our main concern THE MAIN CONCERN was that the engine we PAID for was NOT the SPECIFIC engine we ordered I/we are aware of OEM standards and understand that in many cases parts and engines are interchangeable HOWEVER in our case it is not! Because we DID read through your site, we called PRIOR to actually placing the order and paying for it The reason for this is ( as explained in MULTIPLE EMAILS TO YOUR EMPLOYEE AND OVER THE PHONE ) the Dodge Neon SRTthat we needed to purchase the engine for has upgrades, MANY INFACT and because of placement of intake manifolds, motor mount locations and upgraded/staged PCM and many other sensors and gauges, we needed the specific engine for the DODGE NEON SRTand not one to be CONSIDERED interchangeable AGAIN this is why BEFORE placing the order we called and spent nearly min on the phone with a woman that was very helpful and listened to everything we said, she was typing away on a computer or something and seemed to understand that we did IN FACT need that SPECIFIC engine after our in depth conversation she REPEATEDLY stated that she verified it was the SPECIFIC engine and NOT the presumed OEM interchangeable PT cruiser 2.4L turbo engine from Chrysler Satisfied with what at the time we thought was her knowledge and understanding of the situation ( being that " technically" the PT cruiser engine would fit however not without us having to make MANY COSTLY modifications to the existing car) she convincingly assured us that we would in fact receive the SPECIFIC DODGE NEON SRTengine and NOT THE CHRYSLER turbo engine In reality ENGINES.COM or whichever name they are using these days has not addressed ANY OF MY REAL CONCERNS AND TO THIS POINT WEEKS AND DAY SINCE THE ENGINE WAS DELIVERED AND I IMMEDIATLY CONTACTED THEM ( or at least tried to daily via email, & phone calls ) I did not report " alleged damage" I provided photos of such damage as instructed to do so by Scott in our one and only conversation the Shipping or actually delivery concerns were not discussed, or resolved in any manor, simply ignoring every single attempt I/we made DAILY to resolve this, A HUGE ISSUE FOR US! I paid for something I/we did NOT receive! though you conveniently use your " warranty/guarantee" policies as your " EXCUSE " it is in fact WRONG! what you have done and seemingly have done to MANY MANY people under MANY MANY company names for MANY MANY YEARS is whats wrong with this world today We had a simple request, TO RECIEVE A SPECIFIC ENGINE THAT WE VERIFIED AND WAS PROMISED BY ONE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES, WE PAID OUR HARD EARNED MONEY HOWEVER WE ARE NOW STUCK WITH AN ENGINE WE CANNOT USE, WE THREW AWAY $AND ARE NOW DOWN A VEHICLE THAT OUR SON HAS WORKED VERY HARD TO PURCHASE, UPGRADE AND SHOW REGULARLY My Husband is currently stationed away from us as he has MANY times over his year Military career doing what he has done to support us and to protect this country often putting his life in danger yet when I think of how a company like yours is and has taken advantage of people and families like ours ( hard working American's) it infuriates me to think about ALL MYSELF, MY HUSBAND AND OUR CHILDREN HAVE SACRIFICED to protect SELFISH, GREEDY, UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND YOUR COMPANY!the resolution was simple, all we asked was for you to locate and send us the SPECIFIC SRTengine and allow us to return what you sent previously that was all we asked please tell me why that was too much for you to do to keep a good customer happy? It appears you would rather continue doing shady business and continue with filling your pockets while taking from us the only resolution we will accept is this the RIGHT ENGINE DELIVERED IN GOOD CONDITION AT YOUR EXPENSE OR A FULL REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE $AND THE COST AND HASTLE ASSOCIATED WITH RETURNING THE WRONG ENGINE BACK TO WHEREVER IT CAME FROM!All anyone had to do was speak to us, answer a phone, respond to an email but no your not even capable of that which is why you have over COMPLAINTS!SINCERELY [redacted] ***

The complainant never activated the Free Warranty per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty. We asked for the mechanic to fax over the diagnostic report to see if there was anything we can do and never received the requested documents. Our last communication until recently was on... 8/17/2015 regarding the claim. For the aforementioned reasons, the complainants claim was denied. We encourage all our customers to comply with the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty to avoid the situations. We are not out to "scam" anyone, but we do require customers to follow the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty they agree to when purchasing. We cannot activate a warranty via the telephone and this must be done 10 days after receiving and installing the Transmission to avoid any damage which may occur from improper storage.

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Again same storySays timing belts not coveredNothing about timing chainsHad they told us to replace chains we would have done soThey only said beltsThe timing chain is as much A Part of the year engine as Pistons, valves etcunless repair bill is not paid by September 10th We will let judge decide Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] I still have not heard from the company on handling of the parts bill to repair the timing cover A refund for the parts is expected but this has not occurred yet No word from the management either

We spoke to the complainant on 3-2-and explained exactly why he warranty was voided and he agreed to the reasoningWe can provide a recording of the call if neededWe called the complainant on 2-23-in response to an email He informed us of the situation with the transmission and we began to investigate the claim We give days to activate the Free Warranty after receiving the engine per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty We asked him to send a diagnostic report as standard practice and never received the required documents from the complainantUpon further investigation, we found the complainant had falsified his warranty activation by putting a delivery date which coincided with his warranty activation date to make the day requirement The complainant ordered the Transmission on 12-10-and received it on 12-16-As you can it would be required to activate your warranty no later than 12-26- This can often be extended if needed by simply calling in and letting us know there is an issue with the installation date beforehand The complainant was aware of this and entered a date which would make the warranty activation validTherefore, we have denied the claim based on falsifying information during the warranty activation processThis complainant Free Warranty is now void and null as a result

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] Regards, [redacted] ***

If Mr [redacted] does not like the engine because of the timing cover and spark plugs which are just items that bolt on to the engine, then it is his responsibilty to just make it available for pick up an we will pick it up and refund him

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. We had not previously dealt with this company and were not familiar with the warranty activation policyWe were unaware that after the second engine there would be no more warrantyWe feel it is not fair to the consumer that they purchased an engine that no longer has a warranty and that this company does not stand behind their productHe researched this company and was told the warranty would be years parts and laborThe first time the engine failed, there was NO labor coveredThe quote stated they had the "strongest warranty with a dedicated warranty department"This was the selling point for our customer and we find it very misleadingIt is my opinion that they set up this "WARRANTY ACTIVATION" so they get out of being liableIf they are going to continue to do that they need to be upfront with the requirements Regards, [redacted]

Mr [redacted] had ordered a Nissan trans back on 4/20/and somehow he had received a Ford transmission, we do not how the mix up happened whether it was the trucking company or our shipping crewMr [redacted] was sent the correct transmission and everything has been straightend outUnfortunately we do not cover rental cars, it states that right on the warranty and on the terms and conditions form that he had agreed to

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Regardless what their contract says we would not be in this predicament if the first engine sent was beyond "faulty"I have an email which states the first engine went through a cleaning and inspectionThe engine sent was rotted in rustThe second engine sent was not rusted on the out side like the first one bit is fill of sludge on the insideSo the fact that both engines are not in workable conditionsI should have a full refundThe company should not keep the amount of money I paid if I don't have a good engine Regards, [redacted] ***

We are contacting Front Line Motors today and arranging to have both engines picked up and will resume talks once we receive them back and can inspect Please make sure they are available for pickup and we receive full cooperation

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] This is the 3rd copy/paste replyI was instructed by the warranty manager Dale over the phone to send photos of the damaged engine to prove to them the engine they sent me was damaged beyond repairNow that they see pictures with the covers off they claim I have voided my warrantyHow am I supposed to show the extremely worn and damaged interior of the motor without pulling valve covers and oil pan coverJust not taking responsibility for there poor product Regards, [redacted]

Unfortunately, the customer actually ordered the wrong engine in this case After the customer received the engine, we found out he actually needed a Liter instead of the Liter he orderedThere is a substantial price difference and we suspect the customer ordered the Liter in hopes it would work for his vehicleAdditionally, the mechanic cannot tell by visual inspection how many miles any engine has accumulated Therefore, we cannot not possibly take back the motor and doe a direct exchange based on the mechanics opinion and due to the fact the customer ordered the wrong engine We would of never sold an engine to a customer unless they told us this is the right engine for their car and in fact rfuse to sell engines which are not a match for the VIN# when the customer is able to provideThis customer does not have a warranty claim under the Terms and conditions of the Free Warranty We recommend all customer make certain they are ordering the exact engine for their vehicle when placing the order Our representatives can only go by the information provided by the customer when placing the order

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The lawyer will be handling all my paperwork from this point forward. Regards, [redacted]

We are not a fraudulent companyWe did not ship the engine because Mr [redacted] was constantly calling and threating to do a chargeback on his credit card, and that is what he has done, and now has all of his money back

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I accept the refund minus the 25% handling and restocking fees plus I assume all shipping costsI need to know where to send the engine back to Regards, Scott [redacted]

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me I sure hope that something is done to stop this type of treatment We were planning on buying a transmission from your company, but after short responses that gave us no information, we went elsewhere I just wanted you to be awareand take whatever steps you feel are appropriate Regards, [redacted]

As the customer has stated in the complaint, the engine was ordered on 6-9- The customer did not install until October therefore voiding the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty which clearly states: "Warranty must be activated within business days of delivery OR ALL WARRANTIES WILL VOIDEDFalsifying information will automatically void your warranty." This can be viewed by visiting http://www.swengines.com/warranty.php The Terms and Conditions must be agreed upon before ordering and are clearly stated on the site as well as during the purchase process We cannot possibly know what condition the engine was stored in for more than months and this is why we have this conditions as any engine improperly stored for a short amount of time can be damaged from the elements or mishandling Furthermore, the customer called in on 10-22-and Activated the warranty on 11/and proceeded to attempt to make a claim the same day Unfortunately, the customer did not read or understand the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty when attempting to do so We encourage all potential buyers to read and understand the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty before making a purchase
