Windhaven insurance is of the person who crashed my car. The company has been noncooperative in paying for my car and doesnt respond to calls or email
The company wind haven is the insurance company of the person who crashed into my car on January 6th, 2018, thus damaging it and making it unable to drive. I have called this company various times as well as sending it emails. The adjustor, *** assigned to my case has been noncooperative and is inattentive of this case as she never answers any phone calls or emails, even during work hours. I have called various times for when my car will be fixed and the check will be sent to me. it has been 2 months without car and just being blatantly ignored by the company and its unprofessionalism. It has been almost 2 months with no car and it is sitting in the mechanic shop. Apart from that , the budget for my car was set at 950$ but the mechanics have asked for a supplement and no answer has been given. The company is also not allowing me to ask for information about my claim.
The claim/policy number is ***. My car is a Dodge Charger, dark grey, 2007 model, impacted in the front right side passenger seat.

Desired Outcome

I would like for my car to be fixed completely back to its original state and for this to be resolved quickly as it has been almost 2 months.

I was rear ended by a Windhaven Insurance customer. The company is not moving fast enough with my claim and will not pay for a car rental upfront.
Accident occured 1/27. It took several days of me contacting the company regarding my claim and almost 2 weeks just to get the adjuster to look at my car. When I spoke with my rep, Nicholas Porter regarding my claim CXXXXXXXXX, he did not provide me with a copy of the estimate just an approximate amount. He also stated that Windhaven would not pay for a rental, just a reimbursement for $30/day. I got a quote from a local body shop where they quoted me twice as high as the adjuster from Windhaven. The local shop stated that without the quote from the adjuster he has no way to know what they included in the charges. I just need my car fixed asap and I need Windhaven to pay for a rental so that I can go to work. I try to contact Nicholas but he seems to never answer his phone and when I contacted customer service they would not send me a copy of the estimate from their adjuster.

Desired Outcome

Pay the collision shop so that I can get my car fixed asap. Provide a car rental (there is an Enterprise next door to the collision shop) so that I am not inconvienced any longer with this claim.

It has been a month since the accident and my car still isn't fixed! Now I am awaiting on another approval because there was additional damage and apparently it takes the higher ups several days to approve anything at this company. I just want my car back! I would like to speak with someone of authority at this company.

I was in a wreck this pertains to the reimbursement to me by the insurance by the persons insurance company. They sent a check with the font of numbers are so small my bank,Wal-Mart's check cashing and my local Well Fargo Bank will not cash it or deposit this bad check. I have 90 days to this. I have contacted the claims adjuster he said this check is good.

Other (requires explanation) I would like a proper check that can be deposited.

I was in contact my credit union and informed of this case and my inability to cash the checks sent to me,they asked me to try to deposit the check again and they will do what they could. FINALLY the check was deposited. I waited 2 business days as instructed so I am happy. Thank you ***.

Repairs to car that has been sitting since businesses client hit my vehicle.
On October 21, 2017 I was in an accident with a client from the said insurance company! My car was not approved to go to a shop until December 5, 2016! Once towed to the shop my car sat until the end of January! When I go to finally retrieve the car there is a problem with power steering! The owner of the shop explains to me that because the car had been sitting so long the rack in pinion was damaged from an alleged pre existing problem! So again I have to wait to see if the insurance company will pay for something that was working before my car was in an accident but from sitting for months has been damaged! The insurance adjuster advised me that the damage was wear and rare! How am I being penalized because due to waiting for the insurance companies approval my car sat for months! I was advised by Oscar that he would put it in the notes for the supervisor! I'm still dealing with this company from last year! This company is the worse insurance company in the United States and should be shut down immediately! My car was driving before the incident! This insurance company does not want to spend money on anything! If you are ever a victim of a car accident and the other at fault party has Windhaven insurance be ready to wait for months to get your car fixed! Any way that they can avoid paying for damages they will!

I am asking this company to pay gor the repairs do that I can retrieve my car and hopefully never have to do business with them again.

As a result of wear ans tear, the complainant's vehicle had a prior power steering leak and damage to the tie straps, both unrelated to the accident involving our insured. This was confirmed by the body shop when the complainant's vehicle was delivered.

As these damages were a result of wear and tear, and not a result of the accident, no payments will be made for these repairs. Thank you for allowing us to respond

The car was operating and drives me prior to October 21, 2017! Now after sitting for approximately 3 months when I finally go to pick my car from the shop it is not driveable! The car had to be approved to be sent to a shop for repair and could not be done without Windhaven approval! Wear and tare is not a legitimate response as to why my car will not be repaired! They damages only occurred after the car could not be driven due to the accident that I was in. Not only is the car not drivable but the only thing that was painted was the door that was refused and there are still scratches from the accident! I do not accept their response because I does a car sit for three months and incur wear and rare when it is not being used! My car was working fine prior to this accident and the company should be at fault because my car sat for so long awaiting repairs!

My car was working properly and drives me prior to being taken to the shop! I even drove it briefly before the tow truck delivered it to the shop! I was advised by the shop that the car sat for so long which is what caused the car to not start! How could a car go to the shop working and when I go to pick it up I can barely drive it! Not only that Ibut only one side of the car was painted which leaves the car being two different colors! This insurance company should be shut down and not allowed to do business in any state in the USA! or any other country for that matter! This is ridiculous that my car was working perfectly fine now after taking months to be repaired the vehicle still isn't working!

Horrible Customer Service, Procrastinators & Terrible Communication
Claim No:SELXXXXXXXX-XXX-XXX. My car got hit by one of their insurers beginning of Dec 2017, and I filed a claim with them on 12/6/2017. I went to go get the police report myself to send to them in order to speed things up. Their insurer was at fault. My car was deemed a total loss without even one of their adjusters/appraisers coming out to view the car in person. They offered me a very low offer for my vehicle. I sent a receipt to them w/ recent work I had done.
Sh.:I have sen your request to the appraiser for review. Please note: A comparable vehicle is - similar mileage, options and location . Vehicles reviewed in a valuation report that meet these criteria - are then reviewed at to add value or deduct value if some of the options differ. The average of those vehicles along with your vehicle value are then what make up your actual cash value. Please also note that maintenance is not included in a valuation because those are items required to keep he vehicle running, Any item such as - new engine, new transmission, etc - would add value
Things like paint color and oil changes would not add value. Once the appraiser has reviewed, I will be in contact with you
Me: *** Apologies, when I said, "normal routine maintenance required to be performed on the vehicle", I meant that these DO NOT include items or labor pertaining to 'paint color and/or oil changes', or the likes. Please review the receipt. I am more than welcomed to getting the certified mechanic involved for validation. These include items, such as, timing belt, distributor, clutch kit (transmission), distributor, O2 sensor. Things that are not only to keep the car running, but to actually start and run the vehicle in the first place. Sure, you can run a car without oil and it will certainly 'go'. cut off, character limit
I was/am persistent in attempting to contact them daily, if not weekly, but do not get a response until a few days later after following-up once more. Note that their voice messages are strategically lengthy with 'bs' hours in which they will respond to you by. After leaving voicemails & even emailing them, there is no response, not until I follow-up one or two more times the following day(s). They are unrealistic in the way they quote vehicles; rather than finding vehicles that are actually for sale (which Geico & State farm, and probably other large companies do), they base their quotes off kbb and edmunds. Which, if you think about it, I could sell my car for $0 and it'd bring the average down significantly on both of those sites after posting it. I could not even have a vehicle and say I sold one for $0. Be prepared to not get a response and/or be directed towards voicemails directly. I've reached the point where I am trying to speak to the adjusters supervisor (***) but was told by *** the person assigned to my claim, that she lost her voice and will reach out to me. Understanding, I waited a few days and said have her contact me. Didn't hear anything from anyone, reached out again. Nothing. Reached out again to *** (ext. 8020), finally picked up the phone. I said to her that I was filing this complaint and that I didn't receive any response from a supervisor (call ***'s ext. 8376, doesn't have an email address after asking, and it goes directly to leaving a message with no prompts; i.e. probably doesn't exist). She states 'oh, *** was going to call you', another supv. assigned in the meantime, didn't receive any call from an '***' (probably doesn't exist either for all I know). She states she'll have *** call me and promises that he'll call before COB, if not, she will call back...I respond with 'we'll see' since I know that is a lie. COB comes around, no call from either of them. Hence, here I am writing this. I know they're 'yanking my chain'. BE AWARE!

Reasonable offer for my vehicle w/ factoring in reimbursement for rental car and recent work done to my vehicle in order for it to physically run. Resolution to my claim. For them to stop procrastinating.

The company has resolved this issue. I rescind my complaint. Thank you *** for the improved customer service.

On January 23, 2018 my card was charged an unauthorized total of $374.68 from Windhaven Insurance.
I contacted the Insurance company and was told I would be issued a refund of the UNAUTHORIZED charge. On January 29, 2018 I received a check in the amount of $215.79. I am in panic mode because the check took a total of 5 days to reach me via mail. I have obligations due by 02/01/2018, and in regards to the insurance's error I will also be charged a late fee in which I DO NOT have! I have yet to receive an explanation as to why the card was charged and I feel I should not be evicted due to the insurances' negligence.

Desired Outcome

I would appreciate a refund towards the bank account in which it was charged with no authorization instead to wait another 5 days for a check that I need by 02/01/2018.

I spoke to someone on January 30, 2018 and was told the check was being expedited. It is now a whole week later and a check has yet to be received, Now that my payment is due my check is held hostage for payment this is ABSURD!!! My funds were STOLEN and I have to wait a whole month to receive the money that I WORK HARD FOR. Please process my payment for $130.20 and return my refund ASAP.....thank you kindly!

Speaking with adjuster short time after no longer works for the company. Never was contacted by Windhaven to advise me or given up date on claim.
Call Windhaven was told my claim was being process explain to the rep I have made many attempts to contact ***. Ask to speak to an supervisor after be told that adjuster no longer with company. Your calling the customer service center no supervisor's are available. I reply 'I would like to speak with ***'s supervisor or any supervisor their must be a supervisor on staff. placed on hold she returns and say I have a supervisor on the line will connect you. I ask whom am will be speaking with ***.

*** confirms that *** is no longer with the company. Someone else would be taken my claim name given ***.
about few hours a call was place to me stating my damages to the car was less then my deductible. If that is so then make arrangement to repair the car where ever you got that price. Estimate was attached, with photo of damages requested by adjuster with a repair cost of 2509.32. After refusing to except that and ask that they repair the damages for that price. The next morning I received a call from *** damages are not covered.
After some research to find so many of the same issues of fraud mishandling cases that need the attention of our government to investigate.
I have been waiting from wind haven insurance to seen a report stating the information that was given to me on the phone. Week has pass *** mail received am considering legal actions as well.

Our appraiser found that the independent estimate included prior damage unrelated to the claim filed. The total accident related damages sustained for this claim based on our appraiser's estimate were below the policy deductible, and as such, no payments were issued. This company refuses to return calls in a timely manner if they are returned at all.
I have had the misfortune of dealing with this insurance Company since October 21, 2017 when one of their clients hit my vehicle. This has been the most horrible experiences in my lifetime! My car was finally towed to a shop on December 5, 2017 and will finally be finished on January 26, 2018. I have made 2 attempts to contact the adjuster signed to me to forward Uber, Lyft and rental car receipts which *** the adjuster said they would reimburse me for and I have yet to have anyone return my calls! I was also advised that their client didn't have bodily injury coverage and now my insurance company will not pay unless I get a denial letter from the insurance company! If you are ever in an accident and the person at fault has Windhaven Insurance, good luck to you! This is by far thee absolute worst insurance company known to mankind! It's a new year and I'm still dealing with this company from October 21, 2017.

I wish this company would return my calls so that I maybe compensated for Uber, Lyft and rental car fees that I incurred do to being without a vehicle for months! And also to explain why does the policy not cover medical bills that were caused due to the accident at which their client was at fault!

I waited hours after receiving this email and I was not and have not been sent the denial letter! Neither have I received the information as to where I should turn in the paperwork for reimbursement! My phone calls have not been returned to date! This business is lying I checked my email after reading their response and still nothing! I waited before I responded to see if maybe it had been delayed and still nothing.

Company finally sent the letter that was needed for my insurance company and called me back on February 07, 2018 with the information to send uber, Lyft and rental car receipts! I was advised a check will be mailed out for reimbursement to allow 5-7 days!

An insured hit my house
A Windhaven insured hit my house to the tune of $5000, and after the run around I got nothing. My friend had Windhaven prior to this incident, so I regonized their many well worn excuses (ahem): "Windhaven doesn't cover this type of accident.", "The insured wasn't covered at time of accident."

And, "Well be in contact."

It's a nasty litte company telling everyone they'll make it right later on by email.

Again, that was not the reason for coverage denial from Windhaven Insurance. Again, the reason for denial was, "We ***'t cover that type of damage".

I was in a car accident with one of their policy holders on October 26th and Windhaven still has not made any progress on the claim.

I was in an accident with one of Windhaven's customers on October 26th, 2017. After numerous attempts to get an update, I finally spoke with a woman named Maya (Phone: X-XXX-XXX-XXXX ext. 5125) on Monday, January 15th and she stated that Windhaven is accepting 100% liability of my damages. My insurance (Progressive; Claim: XX-XXXXXXX) has already completed the investigation on their part and have closed out my claim. I am now waiting for Windhaven to create an estimate for my loss.

I still have not received a call from an appraiser to assess the damages to my car caused by their customer. My cell-phone number is (XXX)-XXX-XXXX. In addition, I do not have the email address of the employee.

I am dissatisfied with the progress of this claim and hope to complete the next steps as soon as possible. Thank you for your help and please let me know if there is any other information you may need.

I am looking for my claim to be processed and for the damages to my car be fixed.

January 23rd: I received contact from Windhaven and *** informed me of the next step, involving submitting pictures of my car's damages. I submitted pictures and was told an adjuster would contact me by the end of the day on January 17th. I was not contacted until the next day by an adjuster who said she was just assigned the claim and that an appraiser was processing my pictures. I asked when an estimate would be submitted and she said by the end of the today (1/18) or tomorrow (1/19). It is January 23rd and I still have not received an update. I am very disappointed in this prolonged process.

I do not understand why the process to complete my claim is taking so long. Again, this accident happened on October 26th. I am now waiting on a cash value on my car as they claimed it to be a total loss. However, I am only asking for the damages from the specific accident (caused by their policy holder) to be fixed. Windhaven claims that all damages on my car need to be assessed in the estimate. I have been trying to get in contact with someone but no one will answer my calls. I have called Reema, Justine, *** and Mr. and left messages. No one has been answering or returning my calls.

Was in an accident with a Windhaven Customer. He struck my car. No one will return my call so I can get my car fixed
On December 31st, a windhaven insured party struck my car. I called January 1st, got a claim number and was told an adjuster would call me back. I have called every business day since and cannot get a call back so I can get my car fixed.

I did receive a call on Monday the 15th letting me know an adjuster would be in touch. The adjuster called The 15th and said they would be out on the 16th to do an estimate. The adjuster did not show up nor did they call and I have not had any further contact from the adjuster

Issues with the renewal of the Insurance policy involving a third person that not live in the same address as me.
I have an active auto insurance Policy with this Company WINDHAVEN INSURANCE COMPANY. This policy must be renewed by March 2018. the policy number is WIN01377480. The main problem is that in July 23, 2016 I was involved in a car accident as a passenger *** the car of my boyfriend. This person named ***'t live in my house, neither in my address, we are not legally married and we ***'t live together; so this Company are asking me that I have to prove that ***'t live in the same address as me, that we are not married, that he lives in his house as I live in mine. I have been calling to the customer services and they say that is a law of Florida. I have been explaining them that that person doen't live n the same address, his driver License is not the same address, but always receive the same answer that I have to send bills of utilities of that person demonstrating that they ***'t belongs to the same address as mine. Is possible that the driver Licence is not enough having the address of ***. How can I have access to the bills if we are not living together. I ***'t understand why if we are not living together and we ***'t have the same address they are forcing me to include that person in my policy or they cancel the policy just because I had an accident in that person's car as a passenger *** I'm forced foe WINDHAVEN INSURANCE COMPANY to include him in my personal Policy.

My car has not been drive-able since Oct 3rd 2017 and my insurance company refuses to pay.
Back in Sept, during Hurricane Harvey, my car has got in stuck in rising waters. My car has been unable to drive. I sent it in to get fixed. The total amount for $100 to fix and so I payed out of pocket. When I picked up the car, I noticed a huge difference. I told my insurance company what the problem was and they stated the car is fixed. They had told me that an adjuster came out to see the car and that it was fixed. However, I called the mechanics and asked if anyone had seen the car and the response was that the mechanics did not know any one had seen the car. I strongly feel that the insurance company had lied right there to my face. A month later, my car breaks down on OCT 3rd, 2017. After months of giving all the paper work the insurance had asked for, all the calls I did not have to make on behalf of the insurance company due to having a clear cautions. After month's of waiting, the insurance had sent a check worth 2100 I Believe, and the bill came out to 2600 and I put 500 for the deductible. After a month of working on the car, because the car needed a new engine, the car ended up needing a new transmission as well. I called the office of the adjuster who went to see the car and asked what is the update. The gentlemen told me that he put on the report the car is a total loss but that it is up to the auto insurance if it is or not and that all he can do is give his professional opinion. After a week or 2 goes by, the insurance company ask for a receipt of the towing company. I asked why do they need this now after not asking for it in 3 months. They say the adjuster need it to process the claim. So I called the adjuster office to ask why they need to receipt? I was told only of I want to get reimburse. I told the office, I don't care about it. I just want my car back. The Adjusters told me that as long as I don't want a reimburse than I the case is close and to let the insurance know. Now I called the insurance company right away after I got off the phone with the adjusters and told them the case is closed and I gave the insurance the name of the person I spoke to. The insurance company told me that it doesn't matter what the adjuster said, that they still want the receipt. I told them that I cannot get the receipt since its been to long. 3 weeks later I finally get word from my insurance company saying that they will not pay to get car fixed and that they will not put car on total loss. I feel this auto insurance have kept me hostage for a very long time. Thank you for your time.

A thorough and reasonable claims investigation was conducted and after our appraiser inspected the complainant's vehicle, it was determined that the transmission failure to the complainant's vehicle was caused by a mechanical breakdown unrelated to the flood. Mechanical breakdown is specifically excluded on the complainant's policy therefore no coverage will be afforded for the transmission failure. they issues me a check for damages to my car before the estimate. They will not answer my calls or return my messages.
A driver insured by Windhaven hit my car in a parking lot. The check they sent for damages is less than half of the estimate. The body shop will not work with them because they said they have a history of cutting off the rental car coverage and leaving cars at the body shop for months while they dispute the charges.

Desired Outcome

I want a check issued to me for the full amount of the repairs so I can take my car to have it repaired.

Last month I was hit by someone who uses Windhaven Insurance. My vehicle needs to be fixed and a rental needs to be provided for me.
On 8 December 2017, I was hit by someone who uses Windhaven Insurance. It's been almost a month and I have yet to talk to the adjustor. I would call and get the run around each time. My adjustor went from *** to *** and each extension number given to me was "not a valid extension." I called again and spoke to *** and still did not get a resolution and was repeatedly placed on hold while she went to look for my adjustor. I am so upset about this! This accident was not my fault and this shady insurance company is by far the worst one. I'll be calling my Lawyer and reporting all the names involved. I'm just asking Windhaven Insurance to do their job! If you are involved in an accident with someone who has Windhaven Insurance, just get a lawyer. They have to be forced to do what's right, legally and morally.

I need the business to contact me back. I need better clarification on the way ahead for my vehicle repairs as well as being provided a rental car for the timeframe that my vehicle will be in the shop.

Was rear ended by the insurance company customer in November. Still waiting to get my car repaired and get a rental car.
Was rear ended by this companies customer. He admitted to fault. I called them with the police report once I had it. They stated they tried to call their customer several times. Not sure why they could not contact me. I left my information and stated I had the police report. Stated they emailed the check once I finally was able to get quotes for the work and was told I would have to get my own rental car and get reimbursed. That worries me since it has taken well over a month to even get anything from them at all. They never return a call but on their voicemail it states they promise to call you back by a certain time depending on the time you leave an message. I have called the original employee and emailed several times, then called her supervisor and spoke once. Then I called back a few times with no response at all. Today I left a message for the supervisors manager and waiting for a return call from him.

To get my c repaired and a rental car while I am waiting for the repairs to be completed.

Their client hit me and now I'm out of pocket for a car rental while mine is being repaired. It took almost two months. No this is completely unacceptable. I'm considering legal avenues. I've lost time from work as well.

This company should not make customers pay out of pocket then reimburse. I have filed a complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance. I sent a copy of the complaint to *** at their company.

Horrible customer service still waiting to be reimbursed after one of their policy holders hit my car. Even after they stated they were at fault.
December 12th 2017 at 10:20 p.m I got into a car accident with one of their policy holders. I immediately filed a claim it's now December 30th going into a new year and I have received nothing. They took responsibility over the wreck but it seems as if I'm the one paying for everything. So far I've spent over $1,000 worth of rental cars, tow trucks, and lyft rides. I was told that I pay for everything and when I get the invoices fax everything over and I would be Immediately reimbursed. That has yet to happen. They told me they sent out a check when I checked my email to confirm it says voided check, I called to see why they told me they can't get in contact with their insurer. After calling for days on end I finally got an adjuster to come and look at the damages on my vehicle where they then stated my vehicle is totaled haven't heard back about that either or what the next step will be. I drive a 2015 Dodge Dart that I haven't had for a year yet it's my first car and instead of them trying to fix the damages, they took the cheap way out saying it's totaled so that they only have to pay the value of what the car is worth now. I'm still currently making payments on my car and paying insurance for a car that will be taken away from me soon; According to windhaven insurance. Instead of me trying to save money for a new car that I have to pay out of pocket for I'm spending $300 a week for rental cars and that doesn't include the other bills I have already. For Christmas instead of celebrating as I should have been able to I was busy trying to figure out how I'm going to turn my last $155.46 into $240.61 so that I can get another rental. This is ridiculous I've called windhaven numerous times and tried to resolve the issue between them and myself. But as of now I have to go through my own insurance and spend a deductible of $1,000 just because I'm not seeing any progress. On top of that after my accident I suffered head and neck injuries and went to the emergency room since then I've still suffered from neck pains as well as migraines and I can't even go to my PCP or back to the ER because I can't afford to spend any money on myself due to all the new expenses I have now acquired.

All I want is to finally have this all resolved ina timely manner. It's been going on long enough and I see no progression.

A field appraiser was scheduled to inspect the compainant's vehicle on 12/12/17 but the complainant was unreachable. We have been in communication so the fact that they said that they could not get ahold of me is a lie. If maybe they answered calls back we would not have this issue. It's now after the complaint when then finally started to call me but still just giving me the run around. No action lots of talk and statement saying they haven't received documents when I have emailed them twice and have the save message to prove this. The follow is what was sent which then claim did not get. As stated in the estimate there is further damage but till the bumper comes off they can't assess that.

Yes they have made payment but as noted in the estimated there will be a supplement because the bumper has not been pulled that will be another issue for a supplement. Will see!

Reimbursement and customer service
I contacted Windhaven May 2017 after I was in an accident with their insured party. After their investigation it was determined their party was at fault for the accident. They informed me that they do reimbursements after you go through your insurance company for your claim.Every time I call,the call is disconnected. When I called today 12/22/17 at 2:30pm someone could be over heard in the background talking about joining the mile high club which is completely unprofessional. I want this resolved I have been patient for months and nothing has been resolved. I submitted paperwork for my diminished value claim and submitted receipts for my rental reimbursement and have not heard anything. This is frustrating.

Desired Outcome

I would like my reimbursement for my rental I paid out and also my diminished value claim to be reviewed and compensated.
