Worst company I have ever dealt with in my life and unfortunately I have no one to blame but myself. I was hit by another car that was speeding (no fault of mine whatsoever) who destroyed my car. I received 3 estimates, all roughly around $6.5K and they want to settle for $600?! I don't understand how they can do an estimate based on a picture and assume the cost is $600! Then they ask for a Supplement to be completed so their adjuster could go do another estimate?! Total waste of time with this people but unfortunately we learn the hard way. DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE! I REPEAT, DO NOT!!!! My mechanic warned me that this would happen. He's been able to keep quite a few nice cars thanks to Windhaven not paying him which is my fear now. My car is in the shop with $6.5K worth of work to be done and for what? I won't be able to pay it when it's fixed. There's another car to his collection!

Never received refund/and they want me to wait one more month for them to re issue payment

I canceled Windhaven a month ago, they said they send me a check, which I never received , when I called they told me they have no way to keep track of the mail, and that they cant do anything else , that I have to wait 30 more days for them to re issue payment, which it doesn't make any sense, because if a check is lost, they could just place a stop payment on it, and re issue another one or direct deposited on my account, why do I have to wait 30 more days, when Is not my fault or problem that I never received the check, and when I asked them more questions they would answer me with is the bank policies, and I work for a bank I know how this works, there's no such as thing as to wait 30 days for a company to place a stop payment and reissue the money.
this is totally unacceptable that I have to wait for 2 months to get my money back.
this is really bad company to do business with .

I need them to be efficient and refund the unused portion of my premium to my bank account , I cant wait for 3 more days , specially during this time of the year where we have holidays and everything is going to take longer than usually it is.

I received the check this week

a policyholder with the company ran a red light and hit my vehicle. it has been 3 weeks and no response.
on 11/25 my daughter was involved in a traffic accident in my vehicle. the other driver sultan ali jasani (policy no. TXASXXXXXXXX-XX) ran a red light for which he received a citation. it has been almost 3 weeks and I have gotten nowhere with getting my claim filed. I have had to retain a rental car through my insurance while my car sits in the shop waiting for a response from them.

immediate response and repair of my vehicle and all related charges (storage, car rental)

on 11/27/2017 my daughter was in an accident and the other party was at fault. I have been in touch with them many times and so has my agent as well as the body shop. they have claimed responsibility but have yet to pay this claim so my vehicle still sits in the body shop. they have inspected my vehicle but have yet to pay

Their insured was found liable for an accident involving damage to my vehicle We attempted to get our vehicle fixed but co did not respond to dealer
Their insured caused another vehicle to rear end me and was found liability for the accident. I sent photos of damage to my vehicle and they sent me a check for $412 based on photos. I obtained an estimate and it was $1,200. The claims person *** did repond to my email on 11/1/17 stating that if the shop needed additional parts or money will need to submit a supplement to them. I took my vehicle in to be fixed and my vehicle sat at the dealer for a week as he could not get any response from the company with reference to them paying them the difference. They would not order parts without knowing Windhaven would pay the additional money. They have dealt with this company before and they have a horrible reputation paying. I cannot put any of my own money out for something that I did not cause. We picked my vehicle up and my insurance agent has sent 3 emails regarding this situation with no response. Today my agent left a message for Supervisor *** to call. so far no reponse. This is very frustrating. I want my vehicle fixed. The also told me I can rent a vehicle while its being fixed but I cannot afford to pay any out of pocket expenses. This is so unfair

WE are happy to report that the body shop has received a check and we are scheduled to have fixed on Monday 1/8/17. I thank you so very much for all of your efforts to get this resolved. Greatly appreciated...

All information that Windhaven has in not accurate therefore, could never get a hold of policy holder.
The car accident happened on 11/6/17 and we are over a month and the adjuster *** has not been in touch with anyone. The police report shows the Windhaven person caused this accident. I went to the house of the policy holder and they do not know who this person is. I pulled up the Dallas County records for home owners and it does not show anyone by the last name of the policy holder. The adjuster said she has something that shows he resides there. I asked her what and if she can proivide it and would not. I am a home owner and know what to pull to see who the owner is in Dallas so I know what I have is accurate. I believe all the information the agent was given was fraud and obviously they do not check to see that it is valid. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. This insurance company needs to be SUED and closed down. I am putting in a complaint with TDI, Texas Dept of Insurance so that they know that anyone can give them false information and the insurance does not even confirm that its valid. This is one way of not paying their claims.

Ms. provided her version of the loss when she reported the claim. We have, however, been unable to secure contact with our insured, *** or the driver of his vehicle, ***

The Texas Personal Auto Policy states under Part E - Duties After An Accident Or Loss that any person seeking coverage must cooperate with our investigation. This complaint is a result of Mr. and Mr. failing to cooperate with our attempts to investigate the loss.

We have sent the required Reservation of Rights letter to all addresses available including the email address provided for Mr. If there is no response to our letter, we will be forced to deny coverage for the loss.

I live in Dallas where their policy holder lives and the address they gave Windhaven is false. These are young kids and the driver *** is an immigrant and did not have any proof of who he was therefore, who really knows who he was. This insurance obviously do not check to their customers to make sure they are given correct info. This insurance has TOO many complaints that should pretty much speak for it self. This is the WORST insurance I have ever heard of and will put a complaint with TDI. The police report pretty much shows Mr. was at fault and was given a ticket for no driver license. Ignoring the calls and letters from Windhaven is one way of getting away with paying for this accident an is UNACCEPTABLE. They obviously give anyone insurance with false documents.

The person with Windhaven obviously dont know how to read a police report that I have attached and is not AWARE that their policy holder has replied to them regarding this accident. I spoke to a new adjuster for total/loss dept and THEY are taking responsibilty. I suggest this person get trained correctly.

We submitted our previous response indicating there was no contact with our insured, a file note was missed which did support contact with our insured had been established. It appears our insured, Mr. and the driver of the vehicle, Mr. are the same individual.

We have assigned an adjuster to handle the property damage portion of the claim for Ms.. The vehicle was deemed a total loss and settlement of this portion of the claim has now concluded. We are pending presentation of medical records to resolve the pending injury claim.

Windhaven Insurance has without a doubt the worst customer service around! On 9/24/17 I was hit by a windhaven insured driver. I had ZERO FAULT in the accident. I procees to call and file a claim in which the rep told me id be getting a call back from an adjuster within 7 days.. After 2 weeks still no call.. I call windhaven and explain to them that no one has called me and they give me my adjusters extension. I call the adjuster *** and reach his voicemail which stated all calls received before 2 pm will be returned same day. It was 11 am when I called and NEVER got a call back. After another 2 weeks goes by I try and call again, voicemail again! Its now 12/4/17 and I've YET to get a call back! This is ridiculous! I jeed my car fixed. Everytime I call someone says theyve yet to get ahild of the insured driver. From reading other complaints I can tell I've been being told the exact same thing others have. Windhaven Insurance I want a call back!

We are unable to provide coverage for this loss as our insured's policy was cancelled back to it's inception date of 1/17/2017. As the date of loss was on 11/23/2017, no coverage can be afforded for this loss. Thank you for allowing us to respond.

So far this company is living up to all the bad reviews. Accident occurred on mid October by one of their drivers who was subsequently arrested for leaving the scene. Damage is relatively minor (under $800) but yet they only want to pay $300 and said the rest would be paid once the body shop submits a supplemental claim. Sorry but that's not how it works. Insurance pays the claim estimate and if the body shop discovers "additional" damage once bumpers are removed then a supplemental claim may be submitted. I'm not having work started on a nearly $800 repair only have Windhaven haggle the repair costs with me latter. I even offered to obtain additional estimates. This company operates by using shady tactics; delay, defer, low-ball estimates (done by pictures only), unresponsive, non-communication and constantly requests documentation they were already sent multiple times (not that they ever once called to ask for anything, only claim they need docs again after I make my weekly status call). Their hope is you will give up or give in and take whatever they are offering.

Insurance companies are racing across the border to sell insurance in Florida because it's a huge money making market. Ever wonder why every other billboard, tv and radio commercial is for auto insurance? They wouldn't be trying so hard to win your business if they weren't make a major profit at it. I'd never heard of Windhaven until the day one of their policy holders hit me while I was stopped at a red light, got out to observe the damage and then promptly got back into his car only to punch the gas. Luckily I had his plate and 2 eyewitnesses and he admitted to it after getting arrested 1 hour later. Even with all that it still took over 1 week just to get an adjuster on the phone and it has been downhill ever since.

Apparently, after 3pm NO ONE answers the phone or has the ability to call back before end of day! This company is a joke and if I could use social media to show the world just how poor a company this is, I would... but it seems they don't even have the time to create and upkeep a social media page. My car is insured by GEICO (Thank Goodness!), but I was involved in an accident with someone with the limited intelligence of buying insurance through Windhaven. IT IS A JOKE! No one returns calls, emails or anything! I called their office in Miami and was informed my "agent" worked in Texas and was therefore not reachable. What kind of business does this? Are they aware people have the option to buy insurance of their choice? I will speak LOUD and CLEAR to anyone who will hear that this company is the WORSE! I was tempted to pay for some things out of pocket, but now it's on. Now? They will do their jobs and take care of my claims and PAY for what their client did to my car! And if someone replies from this company with some scripted "we care about your experience", just save it and call back your claims requests.

On 8/30/2017, my car was involved in an accident by a young man insured by Windhaven insurance company.
On 8/30/2017, my car was involved in an car accident caused by a young man insured by Windhaven Insurance Company. I and my wife elected not use our insurance company, after the police report revealed the other driver was at fault. The car was picked up on 9/19/2017, and taken to Lehman's Collision, for further inspection. The car was turned over to *** at Lehman's Collision who has failed to return calls. I and my wife have made at least 25 calls in the past 2 weeks to Windhaven Insurance and have not received any in return. I have had 9 different point of contacts at Windhaven insurance since the accident, which have failed to provide me the proper services. Two weeks ago my wife reached out to Lehman's Collision and was told the car was deemed totaled. Last week I went to Lehman's after returning from a business trip to be told the same information. Calls were made to Windhaven Insurance after the information was given from Lehman's Collision and still not satisfaction. I received a letter from Capital One Finance letting my know the next steps after the loss of my car, but no one from Windhaven Insurance has notified me/us yet that the car was total loss. The initial letter sent by the insurance company notified us that they work slow which in not professional when dealing with anyone's transportation. Windhaven also instructed us that they will only cover rental car fees from the time it was picked up on 9/19/2017, until they deemed it was necessary. Well it have put me and my wife in a bad place because others have had to rent cars for us, we have had to catch Lyft and our funds are becoming depleted. The car was purchased in February 2015, Chevrolet Impala 2013, Account #XXXXXXXXXXXXX, VIN #***XXXXXXX and monthly payment $265.00. My wife car was totally loss on 8/12/2017, by another driver, Geico process took less than a week to be completed. We were down to one car and now we are down to no car. This situation is very stressful and is financially training us, causing financial debt.

We need Windhaven Insurance to contact me or my wife to be given formal notification that the car is officially totaled. Windhaven Insurance to complete the paperwork process to closeout this claim ASAP so we can move forward to try and get another mode of transportation. Right now we are suffering with no transportation and the drainage of funds due to rentals and Lyft.

I filed a claim on 11/7/2017. Someone backed into my car after hitting the person in front of him and then lied and said that I knocked him into the other car. The person that was handling my case was *** , he was VERY unprofessional and rude I missed his call once and next thing I knew I recieved a email stating that he closed my case without even discussing ANYTHING with me. I am highly upset because I did not run into the guy so if my claim isn't reopened or discussed with me why it was closed I will be seeing the guy and whoever else in court.

This has been the worst experience ever with an Insurance company! My car was involved in an accident with one of windhavens clients on 10/21/2017. Needless to say I have yet to receive an estimate for my car or any information outside of them not being able to get in contact with their client to make statement! The only other option was to wait for the police report which was released last Friday 11/03/2017 and I still haven't heard anything from this company in regards to repairing my car as of 11/10/2017. This company should be banned from the Insurance Business! I also sustained a knee injury in which I had to go to the hospital for. I advised the adjuster Alejandro and asked him if the policy carried Bodily Injury coverage his reply was that Florida is. a no fault state and I should contact my insurance company in regards to my medical coverage. He then told me the policy did not have Bodily injury coverage! This is ridiculous that someone could hit your car and you have to be victimized by the insurance company who refuse to move expeditiously to take care of your claim! Had this been *** or any big company I would be situated! This is the worst company ever!

On September 29th I had a car Accident. I can't get any callback or email from the adjuster(Kendra). Every time I called is going to the answer machine. I send pictures and the police report and I'm still waiting for somebody contact me.

Not able to speak to my adjuster about getting my car fixed when one of their clients did a hit and run on my car and was caught.
On October 1st, 2017, a Windhaven client by the name of Oscar Espinosa of Hollywood FL hit and ran my car and was caught later on in the day. Following that, I called windhaven, submitted a statement, and was assigned an adjuster. I have not heard by from the adjuster, about payment, or anything.

A car accident that involved one of their insured
one of their insured was at fault in a car accident that involved my vehicle and I have let several messages for a return call and still have not received a call from this company. The accident occurred on Sept 19th 2017 and we are in Oct. I have left messages for the adjustor and his manager. When I talked with customer service they stated that several calls was placed to me and letters was sent to me which is a lie I asked for the number that they called and address that they mailed the letter to and the rep advised that he could not give me that information he could only go by what's on his screen. I have been very patient in this entire matter. *** is the adjustor on this case WIN01475995-001-003 also I have left a message for his manager ***. I have to get back and forth to work but I guess they are not concerned with that neither did they contact me in reference to a rental car. But I guess that's how this insurance company operates.

My car is a total loss they need to pay for the damages occurred by their insured. Why should I have to be without. I dot have a car to get back and forth to work. This is unfair to me and my household im left at a disadvantage due to the negligence of this company and there insured. Why do my insurance have to subrogate against them when they wont even return my insurance company phone calls this is just one way of them drawing out this issue. It clear that their insured was at fault for this accident. And all of this limits on policy I ***'t believe that. I want the insurance company to take responsibility for my loss and pay for my damages not my insurance company. I have a deductible on my policy who is going to reimbursement for that???? if this company is not going to honor what their clients are paying for this company shouldn't be in business. Im very frustrated with all of this. I should not have had to get Revdex.com involved or an Attorney involve to even get this information its been almost a month and this is the most information that I have received since the accident happened.

Company dodges phone calls, refuses to actively work to fulfill service, extremely rude and unreliable. Completely unwilling to comply with protocol.
A woman insured by this company hit my car. I filed a complaint on Sept. 22 the day after the accident and I was only assigned a rep (***) after one full week and several voicemails left to the woman's supervisor (***). The employees flat out refuse to give any information or proof that they are trying to contact their insured, they claim that they have a false number on record, and they continuously refuse to answer voicemails or give claim updates, even though there is a detailed guaranteed return time on communication given out by each employee's voicemail. My claim number is CTXXXXXXXXX. They have been extremely negligent towards my case, rude, uninformed, unreliable, and are acting against their own company guidelines.

I have firm reason to believe that the reason they are not attempting to get in touch with their client is because if the woman who hit me does not file a claim with her insurance, Windhaven allegedly has no liability to fix my car under what they are calling a "Reservation of Rights". I am positive they are trying to wait out the time period so that they do not have any legal liability to me.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking that this company actually attempt contact their insurer and follow through on their end of the insurance deal. I seek that they finish their obliged services and reimburse me for the damages made to my car due to the extreme negligence of one of their clients.

At this time, contact has been made with the complainant and discussion are underway in attempts to reach resolution to the issues outlined. The complainant was informed as recent as 10/10/17 of the claims process and what was pending. Thank you for allowing us to respond.

I have been emailing the person in charge of my claim, he only responded one time. I have sent several emails and called him not responded back.
First email was September 9, 2017. I introduce my self My name is ***, I am Kyron Smith's mother. I have not heard from you. I have left several messages. I went ahead a put my car in the shop at *** automotive. There number is XXX-XXX_0406. I will also need a rental. Again I can be reached at XXX-XXX-XXXX or email me at ***@yahoo.com. From this date on I have tried to contact the claim representative ***. Finally we spoke, stating that his client and I had conflicting stories. He spoke to my son about the incident, stating he would let us know something, never heard from again. I emailed him the texting between his client and myself, were she stated that she appreciate me for being patience with her while she gets her insurance together. Still never heard anything from him. Now its October, still no communication from the company. I have sent several more emails to him and no responded about my claim

I want the business to fix my car were their client hit it and now lying about the incident.

Will not pay on accident due to no comprehensive or collision coverage which should have been applied to vehicle.
I was contacted by Florida First Insurance Agency (an agent for Windhaven Insurance) advising they saw my application on-line (I was searching for cheaper insurance and am unsure which application they pulled me from). On 8/11/17 I purchased car insurance with Windhaven Insurance and advised that I needed full coverage as I have a loan on the car. Unfortunately I did not read the policy carefully and did not notice there was no comprehensive & collision coverage. My son had a single vehicle accident on 9/10/17 during Hurricane Irma. Windhaven Insurance will not pay. When I contacted them I noticed they did not have the full VIN number for my car so they never ran the VIN for my car. Although they said they informed me, I never received anything from them indicating the didn't have the full VIN number. They insist they did nothing wrong and it was all my fault. They refuse to help me. Had they run the VIN they would have realized there was a loan and should have added the coverage mandated by my loan company which is Ally. They had multiple means of contacting me either by mail (which they said they did but I received nothing), by email (which they said they did but again I received nothing) or they could have called me as they have my cell phone number.

Desired Outcome

Inspect the damage to my vehicle and pay for the damage.

Dear Sir:
Thank you very much for your inquiry about the above mentioned client.
Please be advised that Ms. chose to electronically sign the application in agreement with all the terms and conditions of the policy that she purchased.
On 8/11/17 Ms. purchased a policy with our company for a 2012 Dodge Avenger with only the mandatory coverages Property Damage and Personal Injury Protection. A notification was sent to her via email at 03:36 PM letting her know that she needed to review and sign the insurance application, few minutes later at 04:23 PM she completed the review and the signatures on the insurance application, and immediately another notification was sent to her with the access to view and print all her policy documents.
Later on 8/14/17, a letter was sent to Ms. requesting verification of the Vehicle Identification Number. Then, on 8/17/17 another request was sent to Ms. for copy of her reinstated driver's license as the FLDMV indicates that her driver's license is under suspension since 3/7/16.
As of today's date we have not received clarification of the Vehicle Identification Number nor copy of her reinstated driver's license.
