Quality of service is unreliable. What they promise is not close to what you get. The service cost me $1400 which is quite a lot for when what I got out of the company, which is nothing. Out of six months of service I got any leads from Yodle's SEO setup which included the wrong physical address, I called them several times to change the address, they never did. The zip code of the address was wrong, they never changed it, and I particularly did not like the fact they used another number instead of the one which belonged to my company. I called and complained. I was told it would be fixed and I could would receive an addtional two months of several with a very small unsatisfactory refund. I will never use Yodle again. Beware of refund policy, also will not tell you about their refund policy before they set you up.

Review: REAL ESTATE AGENTS BEWARE-YOU'LL WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

I was contacted by Yodle with a fast selling pitch on services they would provide to bring in more business. For $250. pr/mth with a minimum contract of 6mths, I was told I would be given a personalized website which ends up being a general template used for all businesses in category and can't edit the wording on your own. I was told with their SEO to several different sites, it would bring in leads to increase my business which I haven't received one. I was also told that somebody from their company would feed real estate related articles to my [redacted] page and boost them to draw more views; there hasn't been any posts made. They have been using my personal page to post Yodle advertisements for their benefit. I was also told there would be a variety of ecards and newsletters to choose from to stay in touch with current contacts. I have seen a couple holiday ecards and no newsletters to pick and choose from. I have called and requested to cancel their services for I am highly unhappy. They will not honor my request to cancel, so I feel obligated to warn other Agents not to fall for their expensive scam.Desired Settlement: Cancel immediately and refund my money.

Review: After three verifiable atempts (two by email, one by phone) to remove plural forms of the word architect and professional from the website created by Yodle, plural forms of these words were still found. According to North Carolina general statutes, advertising as a firm with more than one architect is illegal. This gives our firm unnecessary liability and potential for disciplinary action by the NC [redacted]. Our firm employs only one architect. Yodle was given several opportunities to correct the error, but failed. We can no longer take the risk of liability after three failed attempts. In addition, pursuant to the bylaws, we have no choice but to report Yodle to the NC [redacted] as governed by the professional standards of practice.Desired Settlement: We request a full refund of the amount paid, plus 20% for the time and effort in resolving the situation.

Dear Revdex.com: First we would like to apologize for any miscommunication that took place on [redacted] sales call. This is certainly not the type of experience we would like for any of our 50,000+ customers. We would like him to know that we have shared this feedback with our sales team internally so we can assure it is corrected. In addition, we have spoken with him directly about this issues and we were able to reached a mutual agreement. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Best, JM.

Review: I have told a representative of this company to discontinue contacting my office. He identifies himself as [redacted] with a last name of either [redacted] or [redacted] with a call back number of ###-###-####. My office has spoken to this company representative numerous times to request that he discontinue harassing my office staff to no avail. I spoke to him personally earlier this week and received his assurance that he would not call the office again. Today, he calls again and leaves another message.Desired Settlement: I am taking this route as perhaps the easiest route to get the situation resolved. The harassment from this unprofessional representative of this company will end.

Review: We subscribed about six 4 months to Yodle for our family business advertising. We were not told that it was going to cost $1500 up front. We were told it would be about $150 month, which to us was reasonable. The next day they deducted $1500 from my checking account. We sent emails and called to cancel our service since this is not what we were told. We received no response from the company. The website that was created for us looks like an elementary school child created it. Our phone number is not listed on the site, but there's is. Again, no response to multiple calls and emails. I have the copies. Just last week they deducted another $1000 from my account. We called and asked about it. They stated that we had received over 32 calls from the website. We had actually not received any since we started with them. We proceeded to tell them this. The person on the phone stated that he would have one of the "managers" call us. Two days went by, no call. I submitted an online request through their website stating my concerns and that I needed someone to call me. We received a response stating that our "account manager" would call us within 24 hours. We are going on 3 days and still no call. This is not the first time that this has happened and from reading other Revdex.com complaints, it sounds like this is their practice of scamming money from people. I have disputed the charge through my bank and will probably end up having to close that account that I have had for a very long time.Desired Settlement: $3500 refund (initial fee and two charges of $1000) that were not authorized from my account.

Account with them is listed under W[redacted] "[redacted]" with Cookie Cutters Home Repair.

Business

Response:

Dear Revdex.com - We have resolved this issue with [redacted]. We are disappointed to hear their business did not have a better experience with Yodle, and wish him the best of luck. Best, JM.

Review: Yodle contacted me as a local Realtor. The sales person told me that they will help my business to be found online. The told me that they will have a great website in place that will be google optimized. They collected 6 months payment upfront for a 4 month agreement of $249 per month. The total amount of $1494.

I signed up September [redacted]. After I saw the website I was very disappointing, it looks very unprofessional and I would not take the business listed on this website as a professional business. Second, they had told me google optimization so that local customers can find me on the internet. (They started off by [redacted] the real estate to show me that I am not found anywhere and how valuable it would be to be find since I am a realtor and most people find their agent online, and I agree)

Being convinced since they showed me they give me professional website, google optimization and managing of social media in one. I signed up, they asked for all the money up front, I was hesitant, however convinces this will be a great business investment.

When the site has been in effect for over 2 months there is absolutely no activity on the site, I even had worked on it to upload pictures etc. I was a bit concerned and tried to find myself online (which was the service they promised to deliver) I was unsuccessful. I tried all cities around the triangle area and real estate agent, real estate, homes for sale etc. etc. There was absolutely no result in finding my business. (Which I just paid someone almost $1500 to be found).

After multiple talks with their manager, they sign me up for more subscriptions, saying it won't work unless I pay for additional services and add advertisements to my package, of course this is more expensive.

I have screenshots showing how my site had absolutely no visitors from organic search or ad searches. (I will be happy to attach those?

When I am calling them again telling them, I am very unsatisfied and that I am STILL not able to find myself and my ads are not producing any results either. I tell them to please cancel my subscription and refund the monies I paid. They say that EVENTUALLY will show results. I WOULD NOT HAVE SIGNED UP IF I KNEW WHAT SERVICE THEY ARE PROVIDING, OR WHAT NONE SERVICE THEY ARE PROVIDING.

I paid for a service that ended up not working and I want a refund and cancellation.Desired Settlement: A full refund of my $1494.00 paid.

Review: They called me at the end of the day July [redacted]. I had some available time and watched the 2 promotional videos he asked me to watch, then we connected to her desktop for more demonstration and promotion. I thought that there might be something behind her questions regarding whether I was the only decision maker and did I need to consult anyone before I could make a decision. As the pressure increased for me to buy into Yodle, I informed her multiple times that I would not make a decision until I had time to carefully consider whether it would make sense for me. She would not listen with much more pressure, tried to get me to signup by confirming my address, e-mail address and phone to use for my "new" clients to contact me and then asked me for my credit card information. When I told her I was not going to decide yet she would not listen, she kept saying we ask our clients to "give us a shot" for 6 months. Finally, I said I would try for a month. After signing up I read some reviews. With so many people saying they were also pressured or promised many things without delivery and hard to cancel their services, I got nervous. I emailed them Sunday July [redacted] saying I wanted to cancel my service immediately due to many of the bad reviews I read and fear that would happen to me. Now it is July [redacted], They just told me they already set everything up (even though it was a holiday weekend) and if I cancelled it would cost me the initial waived set up fee of $450. I told him that this cancellation fee was not communicated to me. I am more than outraged. I just talked to them via email. They took the initial $250 for the first month and kept it. I never used their service and they took the $250 anyway. I am more than outraged and want a refund.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the $250 I was charged.

I told John Flynt who contacted me to keep the $250, just not charge me the $450 fee in fear they would charge me for both, which he said would happen. I do not think I should be charged anything since I did not use their services at all.

Review: Was cold called by Yodle salesman. Was told call was being recorded. I told him I was happy doing my own advertising and could not risk hiring them. He said he guaranteed me Yodle would beat my previous clicks and calls in one month his [redacted] told me same thing multiple times saying how could Yodle proprietary system not outperform me. Paid $1000 to have calls and clicks go down 90% that month. I made one new sale of $300 total that month. Tried to contact numerous times about changing ads, location, etc. But no answers. Have tried to contact about refund but no answer. This was not mere puffer to get a sale. It was a specific guarantee. Not only was I out $1000, but also $4700 expected revenue.Desired Settlement: $1000 refund

Sincerely,

Review: I am an attorney. I received a cold call on my private line today from a Yodle sales representative out of [redacted]. The representative said he was named [redacted] and that he is from Yodle. I politely asked if this was a “sales call,” to which he responded “I am not trying to sell you anything right now.” I then very politely said “I’m sorry I do not take sales calls and I will have to pass. Please take me off your list.” In response, he aggressively, in a bating fashion, said “What is it that you are passing on?” His tone and demeanor indicated he was not pleased with my response that I would pass on his services. He then tried to persist in telling that he was not trying to sell me anything, which obviously was not the case. He then engaged me a debate whether he was trying to selling me anything. In response, I kept asking if he was trying to engage me in a new business relationship, or not, and I said it was obvious that he was making a sales call. As he kept bating me and trying to debate me he then said he was “enjoying the conversation” and by that he was referring to the fact that he was getting under my skin and my voice was becoming raised. I made a complaint to his “[redacted]” who similarly tried to tell me they were just trying to see if I wanted some new clients. I again said that is a sales call and I informed him that I would be taking legal action. Cold calls are bad enough. It makes it worse when they engage in this type of unethical harassment even after the person taking the call has politely declined. When I looked up Yodle on Revdex.com is was shocked that they are given an A+. That does not jibe with my experience of this company.Desired Settlement: Stop Contacting Me

Business

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,

I left a voice mail for [redacted] earlier today. As I mentioned in that message, I would like to apologize on behalf of Yodle for what happened. Yodle has very high expectations of professionalism from all our staff and it's clear that this particular sales rep fell significantly short of those standards. We are addressing this with the rep and are making it clear that we will take significant action including termination of his position at Yodle if this happens again.

I have added [redacted]'s phone number to our do not call list.

I am happy to speak to [redacted] if he would like to discuss anything further. He can reach me at ###-###-####.

Review: Yodle mis-represented the services they could provide. I provide payroll services and they do not offer that. I was told their accounting package would get me the leads I needed. I canceled the service verbally 2 times and 1 time through their email systems. They did not respond to the email cancellation request for 2 days. They then billed me for the 4th month, which I canceled several times prior to the billing.Desired Settlement: I would like the over billed amount of $599 returned to my credit card. I will sue for the entire $2396 if I do not get it

Hello - we're very sorry that [redacted] didn't have a good experience as a Yodle customer. We have been in touch with him and have agreed on a resolution to address his complaint. We'd like to wish [redacted] all the best for future success.Thank you,[redacted], [redacted]

Review: I was contacted by a sales person by the name of [redacted] to purchase online advertising/website development to gain leads for the services I offer. It was explained that I could expect to receive 11 to 23 new leads per month and could expect to close between 3 and 5 transactions monthly starting month one. He also advised that the effectiveness would increase over time as my site grows organically based on the optimization efforts they do on my behalf. I was told that after 90 days I would be on the first page of [redacted] and could expect to see an increase in lead activity as a result. I was required to commit to a 90 day contract so that they would have the opportunity for my site to develop and increase my ranking on [redacted]...

To date I have been enrolled and paid for 2 months and just started my third month. I have received a total of 4 leads month 1, 2 leads month 2. This is significantly below the 11 to 23 leads they told they would provide. To date based on what I was told when I enrolled I should have received between 22 and 43 leads. As a result of Yodle's inability to fulfill what I was told I could expect from Eric I am requesting a refund my credit card for the $3000.00 for the full 90 day contract.

I have been working with [redacted] in fulfilling the advertising and website development. I requested to discuss terminating the contract early due to the ineffectiveness of the services they provide. He informed me that he is not able to forgive the contract and that any attempt to escalate the matter would produce the same result with his superiors. When asked who I could escalate to he informed me that I had no ability to escalate this concern to anyone at Yodle. Apparently Yodle does not feel the need to fulfill the promises made at time of enrollment or even come close to producing the amount of activity their sales people use to get folks to accept their services.Desired Settlement: I am asking that Yodle reaches a settlement for the inability to provide what they told me they could expect. The sales presentation seems to be deceptive and significantly less than what I was told I could expect. I am asking for a of no less than a prorated amount for the numbers of leads I actually received compared to what I was told I would receive.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: I have contacted Yodle, Inc. account Rep [redacted] 3 times requesting for document I need to fill out and sign to cancel my account effective 11/**/2013 to avoid any future charges on my credit card but am yet to hear back with process/procedure (this has been over 2 weeks since I requested info)... after not hearing from her and I made my second request, I also sent same request at least twice, more than likely 3 times via their 'customer service' web contact portal ..

I am afraid they will keep dragging their feet until I incur additional charges. Results from this marketing campaign have been the worst I've encountered in my 11 years in business. They should have an easy form you can print, sign, and deliver to them when you are ready to terminate contract.

you can get results from campaign from them or I can forward them to you ... out of 13 so called LEADS, 6 were telemarketing sales calls trying to sell my company services, 3 were from people looking for employment with my company, 1 was a wrong # call, 1 was for a double-wide mobile home purchase in Florida (only do business in Texas), 1 was credit union call looking for customer's loan customer service number... only one 'true' lead received was for home purchase from borrower that had foreclosure July 2013 ...

This has been the worst money I have spent in my 11 years in business regarding marketing. $,1601.09 spent thus far for ONE customer inquiry for a home purchase, alas, that customer was reaching for straws, having had a home foreclosed on just July 2013... I was promised I would see more results and that I should close at minimum 2 loans per month from their marketing services... I understand I have one more month to go, but even if results increase by 300%, that will not translate to any new customers helped/loans closed. I believe they need to go back and analyze data to rework their efforts for the mortgage industry. If they cannot deliver satisfactory results for our hard earned money, they need to stick with industries that do show results with new customer referrals.Desired Settlement: I need an emailed or faxed form I can fill out and sign to terminate contract and clearly explain how the billing/end of service process works (have asked this on each of the 5 or 6 communication attempts).. you commit to 3 month's payments.. I paid my initial payment August **, 2013, 2nd month's payment on Sept. **, 2013, and 3rd installment Oct. **, 2013 ... I have asked if the final payment will pay service thru 11/**/2013.... if that's the case, I want to cancel service on that day to avoid a 4th charge to my credit card come Nov. **, 2013 ...

Based on very poor results from this campaign, I believe they would show good faith in refunding last $400.03 charged on Oct. **, 2013 and immediately terminating agreement... I currently spend about $400.00 per month on my one and ONLY marketing program where I close 2 to 3 loans per month ... in retrospect, I could have spent this money on my regular proven internet lead buying program knowing what I have been getting from them since 2002. In Yodle's defense, after agreeing that this campaign has been useless, they did drop my 3rd month's fee to $399.00 plus tax after I contacted them with my concerns that this was not working at all and that I wanted to cancel and cut my loses ...

Dear Revdex.com,

Review: I Did Sign With Yodle Since February ** 2016 , they offer me a product and service for $1800.00 (6 months commitment)tney promised enough traffic of leads per month to keep busy my business ,

Unfortunately isn't happening , in first instance , when I'm using my dashboard I have a lot of troubles uploading my pictures also

They promised to help me to create my Bussines Facebook page

I did tried in the dashboard several times but always a error message show up, I did contact Yodle to fix this issue but they response was that may take Lillie be of time to that and they accept that they have problems with their system while you creating of uploading information, what rally disappointed me was that I found that my advertising wasn't place in they way that they explained me and promised that will be in the best positions on the Internet , the search key engine for any reason wasn't related for what I do the most , when I call few days ago the service agent explained me that was not possible to fix the key search engine and also that my account was Organic and will take time to have a precense in the web , that's not what I had been promised , I did fill out the Survey and I did received an email from the "Loyalty Manager Supervisor " then I tried to reach him yesterday at 9:36Am ET but unfortunately he was an a meeting as today I did received the same email instead a phone call from him, in the beginning they were so focus how to the the sales then they forget about you.

I did give them the opportunity to fix their issues with my service but until now looks that they don't care anymore.Desired Settlement: I would like to request the full amount that I paid ($1,800.00)because their poorly effectiveness of their service and not willing to assist. Me with my previous request

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: I picked advertising issues because I could only choose one item to lodge a complaint on. Bottom line is that Yodle produced nearly zero results for me or our company in over a years time. They rarely seemed to invest time or effort into our marketing campaign until I phoned or emailed them asking why there was no progress on our campaign. They changed our information several times without asking us first, even going so far as to photo shop (cut and edit) one of our personal company photos to reflect themselves instead! Unbelievable.

I searched for several months before deciding to use Yodle for our online marketing campaign. They had great answers to all of my questions and concerns. Everything they have said they would do for us has been a lie. Recently we changed our service to the minimum (because we were NOT getting results anyway) they took information we had stored with them and now denied our company access to that information. I have been FED UP with Yodle for well over 6 months now but have remained fairly reasonable, patient, and civil when reaching out to them for assistance on our campaign. This complaint finally comes after being at the end of my rope on patience.

Check this out--------We saw their numbers on our organic leads from the campaign they "worked" on...40 leads in a year with 6,000 + searches for our services each month. 40 out of 72,000 +!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me!!

PROMISES:

-YODLE WILL NOT HELP ONLINE ADVERTISING IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM!

-THEY WILL HOLD YOU HOSTAGE IN YOUR ACCOUNT AND KEEP OR ALTER YOUR BUSINESS INFORMATION!

-THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS UNABLE TO HANDLE ANY ISSUE!

-YOU WILL WASTE EVERY PENNY YOU INVEST WITH THEM!

-[redacted]THEY WILL CREATE IDENTICAL WEBSITES FOR YOU AND YOUR COMPETITORS! THEY DID IT TO US AND A COMPETITOR LESS THAN A MILE FROM US. [redacted]

!!!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE.....STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE AND THIS COMPANY. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND USE IT FOR DIRECT MAILERS OR ANYTHING!!!!!! THERE WILL BE NOTHING WORSE YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COMPANY THAN TO INVEST WITH THIS SO CALLED COMPANY!!!!Desired Settlement: At this point I want all of our customer information we stored on their contact page to be returned to us to use for our company records. Additionally, I would like a refund of a majority of the payments we have made to them over the last year. We have shown nearly a zero return on investment for our company over that time frame. Their competence in online marketing is second to just about anyone but their ability to persuade and fool customers must be close to #1. We saw their numbers on our organic leads from the campaign they "worked" on...40 leads in a year with 6,000 + searches for our services each month. 40 out of 72,000 +!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted]. The solutions offered by Yodle have met some of our criteria requested for actions on their part. At this point in time, I have made the decision to accept the offers made by Yodle and move forward with our business.

Sincerely,

Review: Yodle damaged my business even though the sales rep said it would generate revenue. Its hard to deal with this company because of the lies , obfuscations and unethical behavior by its staff. This is not an isolated incident! I have been lied to by sales reps, CS reps, retention specialists and account managers. This culture of corruption is systemic throughout their entire organization.

The template website they built is very poor. When I told them that it failed to reflect my business no changes were made. They still published new site with very misleading information. The services we offer aren't included but some new ones we don't offer are!

Im not sure their SOE and directory listings are any good. They all go to this template website that fails to even reflect our core services. Its really disappointing! Now I will have to assign a staff member to spend a day fixing all of our directory listings back to the websites and phone numbers under our control.

During our 5 months yodel has netted us 2 calls from telemarketers trying to sell us more advertising. No sales calls period. Yodle promised considerable results but really didn't come through.

Yodel promised a dedicated account manager. when I called to cancel my account they would not do it. When I asked for my dedicated manager they were not available.Desired Settlement: Cancellation of account

Refund of payments

Restoration of directory listings to appropriate site and telephone numbers

Prompt removal of Yodle website for our business
