On November 21, I received an ad for
HotCloseoutsthat promised me three free bids for registering with the
companyI registered and was asked for my credit card number, that I gave
thinking it would be used if I went over the three free bidsI was careful not
to place more than three bids
I am enclosing the welcome letter from Hotcloseouts. The name Zbiddy was not mentioned so I was
astonished when I saw a charge from Zbiddy for $on my charge card and
assumed it was a fraud since I had also been the victim of two other frauds at
about the same timeI therefore filed a fraud claim for all three items,
Zbiddy and the other two, which were settled satisfactorily
I immediately wrote an email to Zbiddy protesting the
$chargeI was not able to find any other way of contacting them, so when
I received no reply, I also sent a letter via the United States Post OfficeI
have enclosed a copy of that letter and the welcoming letters from HotCloseouts
Capital One decided the charge was not fraudulent since I
had given Hotcloseouts my credit card numberI was able to figure out how to
chat with Zbiddy at that time and they agreed to a refund

However because the $had been subsequently placed
back on my Capital One Charge account, the next day, Zbiddy reneged, and claimed
they could not give me a refund and actually became quite rude
I feel that Hotcloseouts (or Zbiddy, or whatever they
call themselves) used deceptive advertising to lure me into a registration that
did not clearly state that there would be a $charge and led me to believe
I was registering for free and was entitled to three free bids. I also think that I was tricked when
registering for Hotcloseouts because it really was Zbiddy that charged me
I therefore feel that I am entitled to have the charge
from Zbiddy for $removed from my charge cardI would very much
appreciate your help in solving this very worrisome problem for me

The credit card company reinstated the charge on February 6, 2014, and therefor ignored the documentation I had sent to prove I had never consented nor authorized a charge, so  Zbiddy did receive the funds and I still request a refund.

Z-Biddy still has not acknowledged the  $100 Gas Card due me based on our original agreement (copy of chat transcript attached-see highlighted time –11:43:25AM through end 12:19:25PM).
Per my previous statement I have followed their procedure and have not received payment for eight (8) submissions with copies of original gas receipts totaling the amount of $80.00 for certificates submitted.  I am due a check in the amount of $80.00.
I am also awaiting receipt of Power Dog Leash which I paid for on 1/12/2014.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that while acknowledging they have refunded my money, their statements are inconsistent with my experience and I want it to be known before closing this complaint:
They say,
     "... note that [redacted]s user experience was consistent with Zbiddy's terms of use for which [redacted] was fully apprised and affirmed at the time of purchase."
I reject such a claim. I maintain that I was not "fully apprised and affirmed", but rather was tricked by their "registration" process to supply a credit card. They do not clearly enough separate the registration process from a solicitation tactic to lure unsuspecting people into supplying their credit card unaware they are also making a purchase. The registration page is followed by a second page that begins with something like "Complete your registration below" where you scroll through a sea of clutter to a section where they ask for shipping info and credit card which seemed legit if I were to bid on an auction I would be ready. Also, legit online purchases typically allow the purchaser a pre-purchase transaction preview page to assist the purchaser and help become more apprised of the pending purchase and allow them to cancel if that was not their intent. Zbiddy does not present a purchase preview page. Zbiddy does not clearly explain that a Bid Package must be purchased in order to bid in an auction.
They say,

There is NO phone number or "service line" to call that I could find on any page. I visited the contact page a dozen times and the Chat function was not live or activated. The only method available and which I did utilize immediately and several times later without any response whatsoever -- even to this day after a months time, is the web submission form which after submitting is not acknowledged by an email so there is no record of it at all. I submitted all required information and detailed request multiple times and have not ever received any response. I also emailed the support email address in their email to me but did not receive a response from that either. Lastly, I am offended that they end their statement asserting that my claim is "unfounded". 
In conclusion, I acknowledge receiving an email notice that my money is being refunded, but reject their claims and assertions regarding my experience and their lack of culpability. I believe they intentionally design their business and website to lure people into making unwanted and unauthorized purchases, then make feedback communication difficult and undocumented, then simply ignore negative requests and complaints until brought into public light such as the Revdex.com.
You may close this case if my response is included in it and publicly available.

Complaint Detail


Upon realizing that this is not a type of business I want to continue with I submitted, at least two of such online support request (attachment 3) which Zbiddy (attachment2)claim get faster service than email that has never been acknowledged. It is a proof that this online form was downloaded as soon as it was submitted.(see the date at bottom of the page). They have a 7 days guaranteed refund policy (attachment 1)and that was not honored. They did not even acknowledge an email(attachment 4) I sent as late as on Jan 16,2014 which itself a proof that Zbiddy is least interested in resolving a dispute within the specified time limit and once that is over refuse to entertain a complaint filed through the credit card ( to revers the debited amount) or Revdex.com. They have sent 'Thank you' letter (attachment 5)at a lightening speed and preferred to stay silent when it comes for a refund. Zbiddy claim that I did not initiate the refund request within the stipulated seven days and as such deny the refund request. It is a total lie

This organization is extremely unethical. I thought I was "registering" for the site only to learn that the credit card information (I thought would be used for future purchases if I decided to buy something). Instead, they deducted $99 from my credit card. I attempted to contact them and found their live chat link is not a link and does not work. I submitted a request for refund and cancellation via their "contact us" electronic form and never received a response. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and today, since waiting from last November, my bank has credited my credit card account. This organization should be investigated for fraudulent business practices. I found several complaints, the same as mind listed on the internet.

Yes there was a chargeback issued, but what the company has neglected to tell you is that the same chargeback was reversed and they were paid again. This was done by Visa because a conditional chargeback was initially issued based on a form that was filled out by a bank employee at Service Credit Union.
The form that was submitted by the bank was an incorrect form. It was a form that stated "I did not participate with this merchant." Unfortunately, this was not the form that should have been submitted, and because of the improper use of terminology on the form, Visa reversed the conditional chargeback and ZBiddy was paid again.
This does not change the fact that ZBiddy took my money deceptively which I explained in my initial correspondence with you. I never authorized the sale with ZBiddy and once I realized what they had done, I cancelled immediately. I contacted them within an hour of the transaction by way of a support ticket. A support ticket is an email sent from within the support page on their site.
I have also telephoned them on two different occassions and they claimed that there was no support ticket submitted. They have done nothing but lie throughout this whole process.
I have attached a copy of comments with a website address concerning ZBiddy's questionable tactics.
