Zillow Group, Inc. Reviews (988)

I was looking on Zillow.com at places for sale and those that just sold and came across a listing for my condo with pictures stating it sold in January This is absolutely not true I live there andIi want those pictures and listing taken down I tried to call the company and could not get any one to answer the phone

From beginning to end I have had nothing but complains about Zillow's practices which I feel are unethicalDay one, I called to advertise as a real estate agent, they locked me into a six month contract without telling me it was one until I was reading the document to sign JOCELYN F* out in Irvine, never gave me optionsMade it seem like I had to sign a contractThen as my account executive, never called me as she was supposed to, so I called her after not getting hardly any leads and she told me to get people to write me reviewsI told her I was new and didn't have any clients yetShe said it was okay to let anybody write me reviewsSo FAKE REVIEWS is basically what she advised me to put on my profileThat's wrong! Six months into it, I had enoughI spent $and got nothingSo after receiving an email that said my contract was automatically going to be renewed unless I went into my account to change itSo I did, and I thought, ok now I am done with thisTo my

I am extremely upset with zillow after submitting my FSBO listing on Wednesday, March 1stI was not contacted to have the information confirmed until Saturday, March 4th (after repeatedly reaching out to Zillow customer service) and after having representatives confirm my information, my link STILL is not activeI have reached out several times, to no availIt is ridiculous and disappointing that it takes days for my information to be confirmed, then the website doesn't work to activate my listingZillow customer service has NOT been helpful, and it is extremely disappointing that a larger company such as Zillow treats their customers this poorly

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:this is the exact canned response I received from Zillow on May 23, I forwarded the email to my agent so she could resolve the issue, but to date nothing has been done.
Sincerely,

When I entered into this contract with Zillow in May, I was given a certain set of expectations about what I would be receiving, to which I agreed to enter a month contract on those termsI was told I would be assigned a business consultant that would be in contact with me on a regular basis to help me grow and expand my business, as well as help me with anything I needed site wiseI was also assured that when a lead clicked to get more information, and I was chosen to be reached out to, that I was the only broker the lead would go to for that specific propertyThe first week of my contract, I was told my business consultant was on an extended vacation -- okay that's fineWhen he got back, we connected to introduce ourselvesNot even a week later, he sent an email to all of his customers letting us know he was leaving the company, in which I replied to the email pleading to connect before he officially left to make sure I knew who I would be passed to moving forwardNo reply fr

Zillow erroneously mapped my property to a property with a similar street address in another city, and placed a 'valuation' on my property of 150% its documented assessed value, along with a completely incorrect sales historyThis gross misrepresentation caused hardship and stress for me when a lender questioned the discrepancy between the value I reported the property to be assessed at, and the one that Zillow assignedWhen I asked Zillow to remove the information, their agent stated that Zillow has the 'legal right to disclose' public information, even as they were unable to provide any detail on the 'public data points' used to arrive at their valuation

In trying to get a home listed for sale by owner on zillow, I was contacted by someone from a call bank asking for detailed information (that is already in the info I submitted on line) This person doesn't come from a location that shows Zillow on caller ID -- so for all we know, it could be a scam Nonetheless, Zillow's new process, they will not post the listing without confirming their questions (i.emy listing shows Bd Ba, and they call to ask how many bedrooms and baths; listing shows $795k asking price, they call to ask the asking price) Furthermore, after answering their questions, the listing still doesn't get published This happened twice Answered questions twice over the phone Still not show up Finally, I emailed and received a response that I must call the "Listing Verification Team at (212) 786-7849, 8:30AM to 5PM Pacific Time, days a week." So I called They ask my ph# they ask my email address The (foreigner) said, "I don't show a listing with t

Zillow regularly calls agents to try and sign them up to be "Premiere Agents" where the agent pays money monthly for leadsZillow told me over a series of calls regularly that they have changed their advertising program and it is now far more lucrative for agentsI was told that if I signed up, I would get real estate leads but when I opted for just $worth per month because I didnt have the money for more, he told me they have a minimum of $monthly investment because they want each agent to get a min of around leads per monthMyself and my lender were told for the investment, we would get an estimated 8-leads PER MONTHSo, hesitant because it was ALL my additional money, I figured that I could make it work for a couple months as long as even lead closesI am now months in which should be 24-leads according to themI have gotten leads TOTAL in this time and only have answered the phoneI have called to cancel due to them taking such a significant amount

I have attempted to contact Zillow numerous times for help in regards to multiple real estate listings, which contain errors and or are mot accurately represented on their websiteZillow holds both real estate professionals and home owners hostage by not responding to any requests for helpTheir solution is to encourage people to either help themselves or to submit a request using their email form, however, no one ever responds or resolves these issuesAs a real estate professional, it is detrimental to my business to have accurate representation on Zillow's website, particularly since Zilllow is popularBoth owners and tenants are upset that this information cannot be changed by me and requires Zillow to change itThere is absolutely NO customer service available from Zillow whatsoever and there is a huge need for such a serviceI am not alone in this complaintA quick *** search of "Zillow complaints" will net a ton of similar examples

I am rejecting this response because: it is bsI really hope someone sues you guysBc regardless of what you say the way you are advertising it is misleadingAlso to readjust past numbers due to algorithms changing is again misleading to the person looking on your site to buy a home or even googling my addressIf I close my account will your site still pop up when someone googles my address? I read the other review and many are bad and due to this same reasonI cannot believe someone hasn't sued you guys!

Zillow receives foreclosure and pre-foreclosure information from a third-party that aggregates public records dataOn occasion, this information can get misreported to us which looks to be the case hereThe pre-foreclosure status has been removed and the update is effective immediatelyYou can
view the change here (http://www.zillow.com/***/***/)Thank you for bringing this to our attention and allowing us the opportunity to correct itWe apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused in the meantime

To whom it may concern:It is free to advertise listings on Zillow, and all agents who post their listings must adhere to our guidelinesIf this agent would like, I can remove this listing from our site

I have been using Zillow recently looking for homes and found lots of fraudulent listings I have sent feed back, but nothing has been done They continue to allow people to post listing that lack true and complete information

I paid for services not provided by zillowPaid for six months to get leads (for real estate clients) and did not receive anyZillow kept trying to upgrade my membership and charge me even more with the excuse that this would bring some leads, which of course I did not want to upgrade and pay even more for this scam that was generating leadsI have confronted Zillow sales person regarding this scam serviceI requested full refund for the services they failed to provide and I did not hear anything back

The original desired resolution for this complaint was to place the pin for this house accurately, which has already been completedThe rejection reason addresses a separate issue but we're happy to provide additional information. Regarding the Zestimate, this is an estimate calculated by a computer-generated algorithmAs a result, we cannot manually change or remove individual ZestimatesThe Zestimate is calculated from public and user-submitted data for each individual home, taking into account items such as home facts (beds, baths, sq ft), sale history, and tax history. Although Zillow strives to provide accurate estimates, the Zestimate is meant only to serve as a starting point in determining a home's valueIt is not intended to replace a comparative market analysis or an appraisal, as they can take into account market intricacies that the Zestimate cannotOur estimating method differs from that of an appraisal or a comparative market analysis. There is not currently a feature available to select individual comps that influence a Zesitmate calculationGeographically, the data we use is much larger than a neighborhood or a specific neighboring homeHowever, this may be a something that we look into adding in the future but it is not available at this time.In the meantime, we encourage buyers, sellers, and homeowners to supplement Zillow's information by doing other research to supplement the Zestimate such as:* Getting a comparative market analysis (CMA) from a real estate agent* Getting an appraisal from a professional appraiser* Visiting the house (whenever possible)While we monitor customer feedback for systematic issues with the Zestimate formula, we do not change or remove individual Zestimates in response to customer feedbackReports of possible issues with Zestimates are recorded to help with efforts to improve the algorithm as a whole in the future. To learn more about the Zestimate, please visit this link: http://www.zillow.com/zestimate/

Zillow ropes Realestate Agents into large contracts with the promise of legitimate leadsThey tell you that you will have a specific market share and to anticipate a certain amount of leadsWhat the never inform you of, is that you market share fluctuates constantly and that you can be bought downThey also scam you into clicking the auto renew button making you feel like you have to "lock in" you market share which can never actually be locked in! Im days into the new contract period, of which I didn't want, and they tell me I have to pay $to get out of it, that wouldn't be so bad if I received advertising for the additional months ($1000/month was the contract) but they will cancel all advertising today, which again, seems like they are trying to STEAL from agents Absolutely ridiculous!!! Zillow best advertising is scaring agents into contracts and not actually giving valuable leads
