emailed to [redacted]& there was a billing verification at the end of the call mentioning that we are ACU Technosoft not Apple we are a third party Tech Support company a verbal confirmation was also take. We can assure you that he was not scammed, Moreover we are a legitimate company and are in to this online technical support business since 2 years with number of satisfied customers.

I received a message stating that I had a serious virus on my iPad and should contact "Apple Tech support" at the phone number provided. This message wouldn't go away so I made the call. I was asked for my iPad serial number which made me believe (their intention) that they could fix my iPad "remotely." Instead, they just guided me to a menu item to "clear the browser history" in memory. It worked, but they charged me $29.95 that simple fix.

This company is not affiliated with Apple as they imply. I believe that they, somehow, infect devices through the internet to get unknowing consumers to call them for the $29.95 "fix." This is like the lone glass company in town that breaks windows at night so people will call them for a replacement the next day.

I call that illegal, immoral, and unethical.

The tech that helped me Sam spoke excellent English and was very patient with me. However after spending $34.95 to unfreeze my iPad I later found out that it was corrected with a free app called acu protect. I was told I had a 90 day protection plan and call Sam back with any questions. I was on indefinite hold for 1 hour and finally hung up in frustration. All the emails for customer support were returned as message deliver failed.
I'm sure this company is a big SCAM and I will be disputing the charge.
If I was told it was a charge for a one time fix, I would understand you need to pay for technical support.

[Your Answer Here] On 2/**/16 a pop-up appeared on my iPad stating it had been infected by a virus. In order to get rid of it I needed to contact Apple Tech Support at the number on my screen. All the time this was going on I remained on the internet. When they answered the phone  I told them what had happened and they knew exactly what happened and they could clean it up for $29.95 a one time charge. In their response to my complaint they say I called for support on my iPhone. I don't own an iPhone only an iPad.It also says I was unable to connect to the internet which was not true. I was always  connected my response was because of the pop-up .

I was having a problem in my safari browser, I was not able to go online. so I called them , they resolved the issue on my safari and provided me the application ACU Protect Safe browser and now my safari is working. They were very patient with me and helped me to get rid of this problem. I am really satisfied with their service.

[Your Answer Here]It was certainly a scam. I was told repeatedly by both the people I was in communication with that they area an Apple company hired authorized tech support firm. Who would put their phone number on the pop up, unless there is connection between the person made the pop up and the ACU.
