They paid just the cash back to me I used gift cards on amazon to buy my vacuum cleaner
I purchase the SquareTrade protection program often, and every time I have had to file a claim it was smooth and quick. Thank you Square Trade!
SquareTrade coverage is very customer-friendly, absolutely no-fuss, and easy to use.
I selected the SquareTrade coverage offered in conjunction with a laptop bought online including the spills coverage. Against all hopes my son spilled milk onto the laptop within the first couple of months of ownership. Sending it for repair was made very easy by SquareTrade sending all necessary packaging and mailing information. After it was determined to be irreparably damaged, the service center sent us the laptop's SSD drive and SquareTrade sent the reimbursement check.
Great customer service . Was given a cash refund on the percentage of time of tablet being under warranty.
Great job
Quick turn around. Mailed our digital camera free postage and it was repaired and returned in less than a week.
Easy to use and great knolagable people that want to help you.
Communication was easy, fast and everything I needed it to be. So glad I purchased the insurance and so glad the customer service was great. Worth the value
Once I was able to talk to someone who didn’t keep referring me on-line, things went very smoothly. While I can do some things on-line, at 72 I’m ‘old school’ and I prefer human interaction.
Warranty claim was processed quickly and fairly. Will use again.
I bought a SquareTrade policy via eBay for a cell phone. About a year in to the plan, the phone's battery started swelling. They said this was not covered because it's "physical damage". They offered to refund my plan "in full" and when I got the refund it was just the pro-rated amount for the amount of time remaining on my policy. I could have gotten that just by cancelling the plan. Imagine if you attempted to file a claim on your homeowner's insurance and they refunded your premium instead of filling the claim. I may have gotten a particularly bad customer service rep, but I'm never buying a policy from them again.
DO NOT RECOMMEND TO USE SQUARE TRADE
I bought Garmin Forerunner 30 watch in *** Club and purchase 3 years SquareTrade warranty which is provided by Allstate insurance. In a year I've got some problem with the belt on my watch and send it for repair to SquareTrade. They fixed that belt but instead of original color they installed light gray-beige. I called them and ask how can I get the belt with original color. They told me that they can't take this claim because it is not broken. Now I cannot use my watch because they looks chip and ugly. I waste my money for nothing.
SquareTrade is irresponsible company! STAY AWAY FROM IT!
Such a joke do not even bother wasting your time and money on their protection plans they are still (as of June2020) a gimmick and ripoff! They should be sued For robbing people blind! This is a joke of a company and should be held liable!
bought a Visio TV about 6 mo. ago . 3 weeks ago it stopped working and we tried to contact square trade warranty. No answer on the phone, no response in email. Square Trade needs to contact us ASAP, a new TV under a warranty that doesn't work is not a good business practice.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Square Trade has the most rude and unprofessional customer service representatives. I filedd A claim for one of my items covered by warranty. After much hassle my claim had to be finalized over the phone even after I had already did it online and got a conformation number. The customer service rep ***. told me to get the item repaired from the manufacturer and to send the receipt when It was repaired, I did not get any email on where to send my receipt for reimbursement. I called again on 5/31/2020 and spoke to a new rep *** who couldn't even find my claim. I had to go through the whole process again and had to verify my identity because the prices with out taxes didn't match on Square trade's system. I was constantly interrupted and talked over as I gave my information to BOTH representatives. Warranties are useless and not worth the hype if you have to jump through all these hoops!
We apologize for any inconvenience faced during your recent claim. SquareTrade does our best to provide prompt and hassle-free service to our customers. We also do our best to ensure our specialists are extensively trained to provide courteous and knowledgeable claim assistance, we again apologize if you felt this was not your experience. The Local repair resolution provided allows for the device to be repaired at a location of your choice and provide an invoice for reimbursement. At the completion of each claim, an approval email is sent with further instructions and a link to submit the repair invoice. We have resent the claim approval email, and one of our specialists will be reaching out to ensure the matter has been resolved.

I am rejecting this response because:This does not excuse poor customer service. I sent in my proof showing that I’m getting it repaired through a mail in service and it was rejected and doesn’t count as a receipt.
Sincerely
We apologize for any issues the consumer experienced. SquareTrade strives to ensure the consumer has a pleasant claim experience. We are looking into the consumer's interactions and will provide the specialists with necessary coaching. To provide reimbursement for repair, we require an invoice showing the amount paid for repairs the item. Upon review of the invoice submitted, it listed the estimated repair cost and not the actual amount paid for repairs. Once the invoice showing the amount paid for repair is received, the consumer's reimbursement will be processed.
They respond very quickly, which I like. They offer great services but I don't think they care about the aesthetic of the product too much as long as it is operational. I always get the items back with new scratches and torn OEM cases. Nonetheless, they offer a great service.
Great Company took care of our claim with no issues!
Great Service! My first repair didn't go as expected as the technician didn't fix my phone, called Square Trade and they reimbursed my first payment along with my next payment due to my phone not being adequately? fixed! So grateful for the kindness of the pandemic in the world!
I had purchased an office chair at ***. The lift mechanism failed a year later. I had purchased a Square Trade 2 year extended policy for just a few dollars. I called and they offered to either try to arrange a replacement chair, or to take a cash payment. With stores being closed due to Covid, it would have been difficult to get another and would have taken time to arrange a replacement. I chose the cash payment, which was about 80% of the original amount I paid for the chair. While a full reimbursement would have been nice, I did have the chair for over a year. I could have chosen to get a replacement, but they said it might not be new, could be used, so overall I am pleased with the deal they gave me. For the very low price I paid for the warranty, it was worth it and the process was relatively easy. I had the check in less than a week.
I purchased SquareTrade warranty for a bag that faded. SquareTrade agreed that this issue is covered under the warranty and mailed a check for $56.42 that I deposited in my bank on May 5th, 2020. However, on May 8th, the check bounced! SquareTrade's bank refused funding the check (I believe it was Citibank, but not 100% sure). So, my bank charged me $12 fee for this AND I did not get the $56.42 that I was promised under SquareTrade warranty. I've been in contact with SquareTrade reps, had to wait at least 45 min each time and have been promised that the issue will be resolved. Last rep with whom I chatted, assured me that (s)he will send both checks to me $56.42 and $12 to cover the fee. It's now May 27th and all I got in the mail a few days ago is a check for $12 for the fee. But STILL NO check for the $56.42. Given that something finicky seems to be going on with SquareTrade, I am afraid to deposit it now because it may bounce again and I'll again have fees from my bank for every check I deposit from SquareTrade. I am absolutely appalled.
We apologize for any dissatisfaction the consumer has experienced. We do our best to provide our consumers with effective and lasting resolutions, and we are sorry that it has not been the consumer's experience. We are currently taking action to address this issue so that it does not affect more consumers in the future. The consumer was notified that their expected reimbursement was sent via email and that they can expect it within five business days of receiving the email. We have reached out to the consumer to provide additional support and a direct line of contact for any concerns.
