Have been trying for 3 weeks to file a case on FITBIT...I am Handicap. If not for Someone else doing it I would be out a watch. Multiple Emails back and forth followed by phone calls. I will never Use Square Trade again..Buyer beware.
Claim for T.V. was handled promptly and was easy to complete. Happy with the service provided.
Easy claims process. Have not yet run into issues with 'sorry that particular issue is not covered'. Quick turnaround process time.
I would highly recommend Square Trade. The process was simple and problem easily resolved.

We purchased a cell n Square Trade Mobil Protection plan 08/08/2019 from Wal-Mart in Somersworth,NH. The cell speaker broke back in May 2020. We took it to Wal-Mart to see if they could fix it. Was told no that they sell the Square Trade plans so they DON'T have to deal with it! So I contacted Square Trade they said contact the manufacturer as they are responsible. I did that, they would not honor the warranty. So I called Square Trade back. After an hr back n forth, several reps, and several different numbers called, they said send it over night FedEx and we will send u a replacement over night Fed Ex. That was June 19th, 2020. We still do not have a replacement. I called over 30 times between 06/19 to today 7/5/2020. Lots of different stories. Still NO cell replacement! Thursday I was given a FedEx track number ***. I tracked it. It said delivered by Friday 7/3/2020. That did not happen. So I called Square Trade again. Several different stories again. Still no replacement cell. I called again this morning and they told me it was delivered 3 days ago, NO IT WAS NOT! NOW the Fed Ex Tracking says Label Created..... Delivery Date PENDING.... All I want is the replacement cell! They took our cell..... I have no replacement! Called Wal-Mart and was told they sell the warranties so they don't have to deal with it! And after several ppl talking to me the Manager *** said not her problem, not Wal-Mart's problem, they WILL NOT HELP ME! THEY DON'T CARE DEAL WITH SQUARE TRADE! Well Wal-Mart sold me the warranty and so they ARE responsible as well. The Manager hung up on me! I am very mad and upset! I was ripped off! I WANT MY REPLACEMENT CELL!

However, there are necessary actions consumers must take to help us move their claims forward, such as submitting proper documentation of their item's repair.If the consumer has provided an invoice that is not directly from the repair center or altered, we will request the submission of proper documentation. After reviewing the consumer's attachments, we have found that their invoice falls within this criteria.We have notified the consumer of our findings and how we will proceed forward. We understand that the consumer may not have received our email, so we have reached out directly to provide additional insight and support.
Don’t buy a square trade warranty .
They will find a reason to not honor your warranty. I sent my sons Nintendo switch back 3 times for repair for the same issue and after I purchased a new charger the last time I mailed it in with the device they told me they wouldn’t honor the warranty because I used a charger that wasn’t the original charger even though that had nothing to do with or was originally used when the problem first started .

I purchased an 86 inch TV from *** and it was recommended to use Square Trade for my delivery and extended warranty services. What a mistake! I purchased the TV on 6/20/20 for my husband for Father's Day. My original delivery date was supposed to be on 6/23/20. I was given a delivery window of 12-5. They were a NO SHOW and I did not receive a phone call. When I called to check on the status of my delivery, I was told they cancelled the delivery because they did not have a crew to make the delivery (UNACCEPTABLE)! Reluctantly, I rescheduled for 7/1/20 with a service window of 12-5. They called and said they were running late and they would be there at 7:00 pm. Another NO SHOW and my husband took off of work to assist with the delivery (UNACCEPTABLE). Buyers BEWARE. I will never recommend this company to anyone. I also spoke with a supervisor at *** to urge them to use a different warranty company. I wanted to file a complaint, however I was informed I could only submit a customer review.
Squaretrade isn't allowing me to file my claim. The website says to file online, but when I try it keeps telling me to try again later. I've been trying for 3 months. When I call or try chat no one is available. This company is using Covid 19 as an excuse not to honor their contracts. Do not purchase a plan from them.
I broke the screen on my phone so the lady from square trade made me a appointment 20 minutes from my house, when I got there they did not have my parts in stock. I called square trade back and they sent me to a place 45 minutes away, guess what I get there parts not in stock. so I then call back and she says she can send me a unlocked phone but cannot tell me if it is unlocked for gsm or cdma. I am currently a sprint customer so gsm will not work with them. this is horrible the amount of run around you have to do just to get a phone fixed.
I purchased a phone on Wal-Mart.com the day after I got it I accidentally knocked it off the table and the screen shattered. I tried to file a claim so I could send the phone back to them and they could just send me a replacement. I paid 199 for the phone 49 for the plan and 29 for the deductible. Now they wont even give me the option to send it in. I tried to call the number the guy gave me on the chat room and the call just hung up it would go through. The 1 time it did. It said the number was out of service. Im just so outraged that they want to give me 170. Which is less than I paid days ago.. Im not made of money. This is unprofessional. Not everyone is looking fkr something for free. But I expect it to be fair when you buy insurnace or protection.
We're very sorry for any issues the consumer encountered during the claim process. SquareTrade offers various resolutions for each claim. These are determined based on the device and issue reported on the claim. One of our options is the Fast Cash resolution which provides the consumer with an express reimbursement and does not require the device to be returned to us. Although a lot of customers favor this option due to the quick turnaround, others may not, like in this case.We are always willing to reevaluate the claim to determine an alternate resolution when necessary and, as we did in your case, the claim was successfully updated. We hope we have been able to provide a satisfactory resolution to the consumer.
We have attempted to contact the consumer several times to notify them of their claim update.We have provided a suitable resolution for their claim as requested and notified them via voice mail.We have provided the consumer our direct contact information in the event they are experiencing issues.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I no longer wish to be in contact. Sadly I have several plans with them still through Wal-Mart. But atleast I got most of my money to fix my phone..

My little brother's smartphone cracked and it is no longer functioning. The screen cracked at one of the corners and he is unable to scroll or click. We file a claim online, but our phone model was not listed and we contacted them through the chat. We were told with a representative online that it was added to their list and was told to wait 5 minutes, and after 15 minutes still our model was not listed. We message a again a was told by another representative that it was listed, next day still not listed.
We had purchased a Samsung TV from Costco back in January with a protection plan from Square Trade. Now the TV is experiencing pixel issues and we brought it back to Costco, so they told us to Call Square Trade. Square Trade said they can't help and we need to go to the manufacturer. We called the manufacturer to trouble shoot the issue and they said they need to send someone in to repair. We asked for any other means because we prefer to not have anyone in our home with COVID-19 around. They told us the only way is to send someone in our home to inspect. I then called Costco back to see if there is any other way they could help out and they asked us to call back Square Trade to help since we did purchase the protection plan and they work in partnership. All Costco would need is an email from square trade confirming the exchange so we can get a new TV. They were understanding and willing to help out in these times. We then tried Square Trade again and they declined once again and pushed me back to the manufacturer.

I was asked to return the item that wasn't working, but they provided a prepaid shipping label. After about a week I received an email saying that the item couldn't be fixed, Within another week, I had a check for the full amount that I originally paid for the item. A pretty painless procedure overall!
The claim was handled quickly and with good customer service.All involved handled it well!
They brought my son PS4 back to life. I was scared that it was ruined and that I'll have to buy another one. Fast shipping. Great place.
Whenever I bought electronic stuffs, I always bought Square Trade's insurance for them. Never had a chance to use it until now. My TV's screen went black in just 3.5 years of use so I called Square Trade to report it. After an initial diagnostic, and all the steps such as plug and unplug, reboot ... he came to the conclusion that my TV is dead and the resolution is to replace it. He sent me an email with a couple of TV models to choose from (almost compatible in functionality and price with mine). Within 3 days, a BRAND NEW tv (not a refurbished one) delivered to my door. Kudos Square Trade. You have my business for life ????. Couldn't be happier.
FYI, you have to donate or discard the broken TV yourself because Square Trade won't take it back.
SquareTrade received my phone on 6-3-20. I have yet to hear anything back from them. No fixed phone. No replacement phone. NOTHING!! There is no way to contact them to ask where my phone is. Every time I go online, the chat agent is offline. There is no updated information about the phone on their website. It does not change from "assigning service". When I click on the "more" link, is goes back to the main page.
