Unfortunately, as a victim in a dispute of fraudulent/disagreement by Square Trade Company. A charge and withdrawal to my checking account were committed. The bank charged transaction fee and amount of the check returned from your account without authorization. You sure discussed of this suspicious or disputed charge with your Bank! Because this Square Trade Company have specialist to enter into you saving/checking account using their judgement. This is very serious.
Some of the items covered by Square Trade are not allowed to cancel. I didn't trust in a company that did this actions to me. You have to write or call store for more information of cancellation.

Bought square trade from target 2 years ago when I purchased my phone. A few months ago phone started to overhear and shut itself down. Went to file claim and got repair tips to try. Did as directed and problem persisted. Filed a claim and was told to take the phone to a local repair shop and charged over $100 for a deductible.. was told if repair cost over the amount of the deductible I'd have to call square trade first. Repair shop determined phone was non repairable. Sent paperwork to square and was told I'd now have to send my phone in so they could try to fix it. Argued about having to be without a phone for 4 or more days. So after having to argue to get a replacement phone sent to me immediately, after paying for the coverage for 2 years, and paying my $129 deductible, I get instructions that say when the replacement (identical model which is over 2 years old now) arrives I need to remove the back cover (which needs to be heated to even remove) and put it and the battery from broken phone that keeps overheating inside the replacement!?!!? I will NEVER purchase a Square Trade protection plan again!! It is a rip off and you should he ashamed!!

Superb customer service. Replaced my TV with a larger one. Wonderful experience. Hassle free.

I have a tv which I purchased less than 3 years ago at Sams Club. I spent an extra $99 on a SquareTrade warranty 4 years. My TV is broke and I have spent over 45 days trying to get anything done to the broken tv. I have sent 16 emails with multiple pictures of the tv on 3 separate occasions. Friday, May 15th I was directed to take more pictures and sent 5 pictures one by one to the CS rep I was on the call with . He proceeded to tell me I would receive a call back in 3 hours with a solution. As always no call back never has the company responded to emails as stated with in two days . I have spent 2-3 days each week on the phone trying to get some type of fix for the tv . Today after 4 days not 3 hours as promised I spent over one hour on the phone and again had to retake pictures and send only to be told he will work on it and gave me an email. This manager told me if I don’t hear back which he thinks I will then again I need to reach out directly to him. I am frustrated I have to submit a Revdex.com complaint to hopefully get help with this company. I also am fearful since there are numerous tv issues logged here in April, just like my issue. The tv
We can hardly watch since half of the screen is dark. My other fear is they won’t fix it using COVID as an excuse and from others getting replacements is a whole other issue with this company. Please help we need this tv to work it been months and still no help.

We apologize for the difficulties the consumer has experienced during their claim. Our goal is to provide our consumers with efficient and effective resolutions. We do our best to make the consumer's experience as hassle-free as possible. However, consumers must take the necessary actions to help us move their claims forward, such as submitting photo documentation of the issue. We require photo documentation of the issue to help identify the type of damage, the source of the problem, and how best to address it. We may ask for additional images if there are obstructions that limit our ability to determine the issue accurately. Failure to provide these photos can cause delays in receiving a resolution.Once the consumer provides the necessary documentation, the claim will progress naturally. The consumer will receive service from a repair technician or one or more television options to choose from if a replacement is necessary. We understand the consumer's frustration, so we have reached out directly to assist with the completion of their claim.

Square trade warranty’s are routinely encouraged when purchasing televisions from ***. I Purchased a $1700 -65 inch *** a few years Ago with a square trade warranty. The attendant explained that if anything goes wrong they will replace the TV. Period. Several months ago I began experiencing issues that resulted in multiple phone calls to square trades overseas support center which basically is a way of making warranty holders jump through multiple hoops in the hopes that they will lose interest. Ultimately I was asked to take my 65 inch TV off the wall and to a local repair shop where the estimate stated that the TV was unrepairable. SquareTrade's response was to offer me a $505 *** tv That they said had similar features. I explained that comparing that television to the one that I purchased was similar to saying that a *** and a *** are the same because they both have a steering wheel. Square trade is owned by Allstate and their intentional delaying borders on fraudulent behavior by an insurance company. I will Tell anyone who will listen never to purchase the Square trade warranty as their business practices are unconscionable. *** should be ashamed for having an alliance with them.

Had a great experience and very welcome and thankful of the customer service representative. She handle things very well.

Quick response to problem with choice of solutions. I elected cash out option which was 90% of the cost to replace the unit.

In October 2017 I bought a LG 65" OLED TV through *** with a square trade warranty. I have some sort of color distortion on the panel of the TV, no physical damage was done to the TV. I filed a claim a few days ago. They denied it saying it was burn-in. Burn-in typically occurs when a static image is left on the TV for a long period of time. This is NOT the case, that never happened on my TV. They "determined" it was burn-in without physically inspecting the TV and went based solely on a few pictures. From my research, I believe it's an issue cover under Square trades warranty.

We apologize for any issues the consumer experienced with their claim. In this instance, we were unable to approve your TV claim because the screen had signs of burn-in, which is not covered under warranty. Unfortunately, none of our TV policies include burn-in. Our TV warranties cover hardware and electrical failures due to regular use of the item, such as the item not powering on, distortion to the picture, and more.At this time, we can allow the consumer to have a technician come out and inspect the TV. If they determine the issue is not a result of burn-in, we will proceed to process a claim for the consumer.

The email voucher was not honored at ***. Not what one would expect.

I've had several items covered by this insurance, and they have always been helpful, prompt, professional, and accommodating. Great customer service.

They made the process very easy. They refunded my money without a hassle. I appreciated how quickly the issue was resolved.

It was an easy and quick process. I have never seen a company respond so quickly. Will definitely use them again, My grandson dropped my *** and the screen cracked in pieces. Within a week I received my refund. Great job and awesome help.

Was very pleased with how quickly the claim was handled. The agent was very polite and knowledgeable regarding my request!

Amazingly fast and efficient. I received my item back in a week of my shipping's it out.

I purchased TV from Walmart and I also purchased a protection plan. This happened on 2 separate occasions. The first time I purchased the warranty it was $8, when the TV was accidentally broken SquareTrade told me that plan does not cover accidental damages. They told me I would have to purchase the upgraded plan. I purchased a second TV through Walmart and paid $20 for the upgraded plan. My child accidentally cracked the screen and I called SquareTrade to file a claim. I was again told that the warranty does not cover damages. I spoke to a supervisor named *** and she said that the plan does not cover TVs at all unless it is mechanical. I then read the protection to her which I have a copy of. It lists items that are covered, section A is for cell phones and tablets, section B is for jewelry and watch plans, section c is for furniture and section d is for all other products. TVs were not listed in section a,b, or c so therefore it is considered "all other products." The plan then goes on to state "This protection plan provides coverage for parts and labor costs to repair or replace Your Product where the problem is the result of a failure caused by 1,Normal wear and tear 2. Accidental damage from handling (ADH), such as damage from drops, spills, and liquid damage associated with the handling and use of Your Product, if the coverage has been offered and purchased at the time of sale with your protection plan. After I read this to *** she said this does not apply to TVs but no where in the warranty does it state all other products except TVs are covered, so therefore it should have insured my television. This all took place on Wednesday May 13,2020 around 5:57 pm Eastern time. Also upon looking into this situation I came across a lawsuit against SquareTrade in 2016 due to them selling protections plans to customers that were not eligible for coverage, but the customers would only find out when they went to file a claim. This is very unfair to myself as well as other consumers purchasing these warranties.

Allstate Protection Plans Response • May 15, 2020

We're very sorry for any issues encountered during the claims process. SquareTrade mirrors the manufacturer's coverage for our TV protection plans. Since TVs are intended to be stationary, not portable, accidental damage from handling is not covered or offered as additional coverage. The SquareTrade warranty contract states, "What is not covered: Accidental damage, cracked or damaged monitor, laptop or display screens, liquid damage, lost buttons or knobs, etc. unless optional accidental damage from handling (ADH) coverage was offered and purchased at the time of sale with Your Protection Plan.Although we do our best work with all customers, in some instances, we may be limited. As for this case, the issue was caused by physical damage, therefore, we were not able to process a claim. Nonetheless, we hope to provide a better experience in the future as we greatly appreciate your business.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, assuming I will actually be reimbursed.

I have a *** on 11/12/2016 and the warranty ends 11/12/2021. I complained 4/3/2020 about the TV
picture going very dim and a technician had me doing all the labor work to fix it. Pulling the TV out and looking for codes, serial numbers, then rebooting the TV and he said that should work, but if not to take a picture if it happens again and send it to the warranty department and will have to fix it or replace it. It happen 5/12/2020 so I called the next day to Square Trade protection plan and there response was for me to start checking things again. After about 20 minutes of checking other parts of the TV, I told them I'm done with, and I have pictures, and a video of what it looks like, so fix it, replace it, or they can give me what it's worth. I sent the picture and video like they ask, and there saying send more pictures, so I'm done dealing with them

No communication. Malpractice just screwed me over. My phone was 100% functional but wasn't able to turn on unless it was permanently hooked up to a power source. My warranty covered a free battery change so instead of doing it myself, I left it to the "professionals". After sending my phone to them, they decided to "salvage" my phone because it was more "economical" to do so. One star because they paid me out for my phone. Problem is, I haven't backup everything because I expected the phone to be returned to me since a battery change is simple and easy. Buying a new battery doesn't cost more than the phone itself so I suspected they broke my phone while trying to change the battery. They never consulted with me beforehand if I wanted my phone to be "salvaged". I could care less about the money as the info in my phone is more important.
tl;dr equivalent of taking a car to change the battery but they decided to scrap your car and not return it to you but pay you out in full BECAUSE they broke your car while changing the battery BUT they don't tell you they broke your car. Imagine if you had important/expensive items in the glove compartment.

I purchased an insurance policy for a laptop from Squaretrade. After filing a claim I received my claim check for $219.19 and cashed it. A few days later my bank informed me that the check bounced. I contacted Squaretrade, and the performed some kind of "investigation." Upon completion they told me the check was cashed. I contacted my bank to confirm that the check bounced. It did. I have since been on the phone with Squaretrade several times. They keep telling me they will contact me when they look into it. I have been waiting now since the beginning of February
