SquareTrade is available for items purchased from WalMart, eBay and other firms. To approve the claim on the warranty, it helps to pre-register the phone with SquareTrade upon receipt. (For instance, on cell phones, the IMEI number identifies your specific phone; you may need to find the number while your phone is working, from the phone's settings.) After SquareTrade approves the warranty, you send them the bill and SquareTrade will approve it. It is the most painless insurance and repair agency I've ever known.

I was able to log onto Square Trade to validate information concerning proof of purchase. From there, answer a few questions regarding item, failure/claim and to click a button to receive a decision almost immediately which also provides an option to accept that decision or further contact. I can't complain. I am pretty pleased with the service.

I purchased a GPU from NewEgg and got a SquareTrade protection plan to cover my new, expensive component. When the time came to get help, I was denied coverage because of their policy. The policy is that they can't help out with electrical parts, components, devices, etc. if the product was defective when you bought it. I think that people should know about the full coverage of their services before they purchase it because otherwise, they will rip you off. They make no effort to disclose their coverage before the purchase.

The extended warranty was a waste. I purchased it for a game system for my son. The screen ending up going completely blue while I was playing with it with my son. There was no water damage no physical damage to cause it to start working. I received an email from Fed ex I would be receiving a package I had to sign for a day later I received an email from *** that the item had physical damage and was not repaired and that they were sending the item back to me. I received no call no explanation what they had done to determine the outcome and whether anything was done to attempt to repair the game system. The game system had normal wear and tear and I don’t believe this company did anything to repair the problem. I will never purchase a warranty from this company or recommend this company to anyone.

The SquareTrade representative that worked directly with me was very professional and went over and above to assist me with my warranty. I was issued a check for a full refund on the product that stopped working, and it took less than a week to get it in the mail. This company has excellent customer service!!

Charged for protection for two items never received. Refuses to respond to requests for refunds.

We apologize for any dissatisfaction with the consumer’s experience.

When a protection plan is purchased through one of our online resellers, a warranty will typically generate in our system shortly afterwards. That allows us to locate the protection plan with the consumer's account information and promptly cancel it if the consumer wishes to do so. However, there are times where additional information is required to locate it in the system, which was the case with the consumer's plan.

At this time, we have reached out to the consumer to further assist with this matter.

Excellent service, fast responses to any questions or issues I had

I manage device purchasing and maintenance for a small company. We have over a dozen warranties with SquareTrade. Unfortunately, whenever I need to speak with someone on the phone, I am talking to someone in India or Pakistan who thinks it is appropriate to constantly try to speak over me, thinks that by repeating themselves I will suddenly agree that what they are saying is no longer incorrect, or their English skills are so bad that I can barely understand what they are saying. My average call time whenever I call is around 2 hours.
It would be easier to bring peace to the Middle East than getting someone helpful on the phone with SquareTrade.

They were very responsive and gave me the best options. Would recommend to everyone.

Some problems comunicating at first great service paid for itself and more.

On May 15, 2020, I filed a claim with Square Trade to repair my computer. I had a hard time dealing with the person on the other line, in filing my complaint and consequent action following that call has been totally unsatisfactory. I asked my partner to help me resolve the situation, and we received a box to mail the computer back to Squaretrade for repairs. Upon receiving the box, I found it completely inadequate for my needs. Not only was it the wrong size, but it did not contain a work order for the parts or services needed to repair my equipment. Consequent calls by my partner to rectify the situation have led to no results- a box with a work order was promised by the last manager we spoke to on July 3, 2020.
It is now the 7th of July, and my warranty with Square trade expires in August 2020. I am without my computer, which I need for work and communicating with my family. I have been inconvenienced and lied to by personnel of Square trade repeatedly with no resolution to my problem.

We also do our best to give updates on every step to ensure a positive customer experience. For Mail-In repairs, we guarantee a 2-5 business day repair from the day your device is received. Shipping time is excluded as we do not have it within our possession at that time. This information is included in the approval email sent to the consumer when the claim was processed. We understand the consumer experienced difficulty with filing their claim, as well as with the communication with some of our specialists. One of our specialists reached out to discuss the situation with them and based on our conversation; we came to a result that satisfied both parties. We greatly appreciate their patience and look forward to helping them in the future.

I purchased a bed frame off of Ebay and with it I purchased a Square Trade warranty but that turns out to have been a waste of money. I tried to file a claim online but they denied my claim saying to contact that manufacturer which I DON'T HAVE A WARRANTY FROM since I bought this off of EBAY. If Square Trade doesn't want to provide the services I purchased from them then I'd prefer they just say so rather than denying my claim saying to contact the manufacturer and then telling me to call them which I DON'T want to do as I PREFER email and besides they already denied the claim so what's there to talk about on the phone.

For mechanical failures during the first year, we refer these claims to the manufacturer of the item since most of these issues are typically caused by defects or poor workmanship. However, in the event of a denial or the item not having this warranty from the manufacturer, SquareTrade can reevaluate the case and assume coverage from day one. To further address their concerns, we have contacted the consumer and look forward to providing clarity and guidance for this matter.
