The warranty process was smooth and painless. I would use this service again.

Sometimes I frankly wonder why I keep buying the SQUARE TRADE protection policy. This week again proved why it is, indeed, a good investment to protect the monies that you have paid out for an item. I phoned over a malfunctioning microwave and received immediate gift card for the amount paid. I am grateful for the professional manner in the way it was handled by a various courteous young man.
Sincere thanks to the entire staff.

Super easy process, turn around time from the time I shipped it out to getting it back was about 7 days. Very satisfied with the whole process and the repair

They did exactly what they promise: Fixed my printer quickly and effectively

Square Trade staff were help full when l had questions on the steps to get information to them. My husband and I are very satisfied on the outcome from Square Trade. I would recommend Square Trade to others.

They handled my problem very professionally. First they gave some potential fixes which we tried - they were very patient. Phone calls got dropped and they called right back. When fixes didn't work they immediately gave me a choice of some comparable new TV's. It was shipped in a timely manner. This is my first need for warranty back up and it was great.

Customer service is great, although online my options did not reflect what happened with my product, representative was able to help me and resolve the issues with my product. Highly recommend!

These people were so professional and so concerned about resolving my issue the were very professional and we the extra mile for me.

It was easy to file the claim and I received my replacement Fitbit within a week.

It was awesome. I put my claim in answered some dimple questions submitted the claim. If I remember correctly within 48 hours they responded with a resolution and that was it. Received my check in the mail within 4-5 days if their confirmation to me. Definitely a satisfied customer.

The customer rep and service technician was very responsive to my problem clearly trying to see if they could solve the problem for me. I will definitely purchase the warranty agreement whenever I purchase a large ticket item.

We bought a warranty protection plan from Square Trade for a tv purchased from Sam's Club. The plan was for 4 years with extra year for being Sam's plus member. This was in May 2015. Tv broken now and when we filed claim was told they would reimburse us for repair but we had to get our own repairman. The brochure when we bought it said the would send a repairman to our home within 24 hours. When we asked about that they said that was not included in 5th year. The brochure did not have any exclusions at all. The problem is we cannot find a tv repairman in our area. The closest is in next county and he can not work on it for several months. I called and told them that and they would not help at all.We had to purchase a new tv due to lack of their refusal to fulfil their warranty

We apologize for any issues the consumer experienced during the claims process.

SquareTrade always attempts to provide the customer with a seamless claims experience. In some cases, the fastest resolution is to allow the consumer to source a technician and have the item repaired, and SquareTrade will reimburse. If the consumer is unable to locate a technician, we will provide an alternative solution to resolve the issue.

At this time, we have reached out to the customer and provided a resolution we hope will be satisfactory.

We apologize for any issues the consumer experienced during the claims process. SquareTrade attempts to have all items repaired within 2-5 business of arriving at our repair facility. In some cases, delays are experienced due to the availability of parts. If parts are delayed for an extended period, we will move forward with an alternate resolution. At this time, we have reached out to our repair facility for an immediate status update. Currently, a supervisor is working with the consumer to ensure the issue is resolved promptly.

Bought laptop in January 2018. Bought Square Trade Standard + Accidental Damage plan in Sept 2018 with 4 year coverage. Paid full premium. SSD card died in laptop January 2020. Due to publishing deadlines, replaced whole laptop with brand new so work on book could continue. We forgot we had Square Trade plan, but found the protection plan contract. Yeah, we thought.
Wrong. Had to call 3 times, kept getting dropped. When I tried to place a claim, the rep asked me how much I paid for the plan. Strange question, I told him, and he said the contract was invalid because we bought it through Amazon 8 mos later. He said they would not cover the loss because the plan was not purchased within 30 days. I work with contracts every day. I stated that they sold me a contract of coverage, that I expected them to honor it. He would not. I asked to speak to a supervisor, & he reiterated the same line, with the added comment that it was sold through a third party vendor, Amazon, so it was Amazon's fault. I didn't buy that. Since I don't have a high priced lawyer to fight for about $500 in damages that is clearly covered in the plan, I had to accept the consolation prize of a refund of our payment for the plan. I will never recommend you do business with a company that asks how much you paid, and, apparently, decided to decline the claim based on what I was charged for coverage.

Great experience.....Polite, Fast, Easy service...just have all receipts in hand and
you will experience this also

My laptop with power apater was sent the the busines for repair under a service contract agreement that they entered in with Cosco whom I purchased the warranty from. The company was sent the power adapter in working order . It was returned broken and not functioning therefore is rendered useless and unrepairable this is is Dell laptop service tag number
991Hxr2 . I and giving information about the laptop so the company can purchase the replacement ac adapter from the manufacturer website and mail to my home/ mailing address. They claimed responsibility for the damage and only offered to reimburse me after I pay to replace it. This is unacceptable as I did not break the item and it was sent to them in working order. I don’t have the funding to replace it as the replacement cost is $75.49 which included tax shipping and a discounted rate determined by the Dell website.

We apologize for any issues experienced with their device. SquareTrade attempts to ensure all devices are returned to the consumer fully functional. In some cases, there may be an issue with the consumer's device after it has been returned. The consumer is always able to send the device back in for further repair. Sometimes SquareTrade will allow the customer to purchase a replacement accessory and be reimbursed if there is an issue. We have found that often this is the fastest resolution. At this time, we have attempted to call the customer at the number on file, but it does not appear to be in service. We have also reached out to the number provided by the Revdex.com and left a voicemail with our direct contact information. A follow-up email was also sent to the customer advising of our proposed solution.

I recently purchased a Samsung galaxy phone through the Purchasing Power website, as well as a 2 year warranty through squaretrade. The warranty is shown on my plan as covering accidental damage as well as electrical and mechanical malfunctions. So when I began having electrical problems, unrelated to any physical damage, I called to submit a claim. Long story short, squaretrade and Samsung continuously are playing the blame/ responsible party game while the customer is left with a defective product. The bottom line is if I am paying a company under contract for a service, the promised service should be provided to me as the customer. The experience I've had with Squaretade's customer service was not helpful in the least, and their manager Faraz should receive more training in customer service ettiquette. The company refused to process my claim and told me if there was physical damage then they could try to help, even though my plan covers electrical malfunctions as well. This plan is a complete disappointment and waste.

I called Square Trade and asked for the Agent of Record. They Refused to give me the info and told me to call Corporate when I called Corporate I only got voice mail

We are unable to to complete the consumer's request as we are not an insurance company. We provide consumers with a warranty protection plan, this is not to be mistaken for insurance. One of our representatives has been in contact with the consumer and has resolved his concerns.

I have a Square Trade 2 year warranty that clearly states “ Covers all mechanical and electrical failures that occur during normal use”
My laptop lid is separating from the screen when the laptop is opened. It is starting to split more everytime it is opened. Normal use means I have to open my laptop in order to use it.
I am being told by Square Trade that I need to have an accidental package because this fits under an accident. Opening my laptop to use it is not an accident but normal use. It is a known issue with this laptop. They are not following the contract as written.

Allstate Protection Plans Response • Feb 14, 2020

We apologize for any issues the consumer experienced their device. With Squaretrade's standard coverage protection plan, any broken part or damage to the device would not be covered. After a device is a year old, there are some circumstances in which wear and tear can be considered. At this time, we have reached out to the consumer and requested pictures to review the consumer's issue further. Once the pictures have been reviewed, we will provide a resolution to the consumer.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because: The issue with the lids and screens is not a wear and tear issue. It was replaced once in the first year of service by MSI with no issue. I use my laptop connected to 2 monitors so it is not even opened and closed like a normal laptop. As in the 1st instance the screen will separate and rip from the computer if you continue to use the hinge causing the image to fail.

Willing to work with Square Trade but I am asserting that this is not a normal wear and tear issue. MSI replaced it, why can't you? I don't understand why I paid for a warranty that "covers manufacturers defects" according to the contract but won't honor its committment. This is publicly recognized a manufacturer's defect. Here is a sample of compaints online: https://www.***

Sincerely

We do understand the consumer's interpretation; however, SquareTrade has its specific determining factor in classifying damage type. With the SquareTrade warranty after the first year, an issue resulting from typical day to day use would be considered wear and tear. During the manufacturer's warranty coverage, a problem resulting from normal day to day use would be regarded as a manufacturing defect. At this time, we have emailed the consumer providing a resolution.

I filed a complaint with SquareTrade to replace my daughter's laptop computer that had a broken screen on 1/12/20 and have been repeatedly been given the run around about a date when the computer will be returned. Every time I call for a status update I'm being told that SquareTrade sent me an emails regarding the status (which I have no record of receiving) or that it will sent to me in the next 2-5 business days. Additionally, I called the *** today & now I'm receiving a constant busy signal for the past hour. This is unacceptable customer service and a bad representation on the *** the parent company of SquareTrade.

Allstate Protection Plans Response • Feb 11, 2020

We apologize for any delays experienced during the claims process. SquareTrade always attempts to provide the consumer with a quick and easy repair process. Generally, our depots can repair an item within 2-5 business of receipt. In some instances, there are delays due to parts being back-ordered. Due to the delays experienced by the consumer, we are currently reaching out to our repair depot to move forward with an alternate solution. A call was placed to the consumer to advise of the status and proposed resolution; however, we were unable to make contact. A follow-up email was sent to the consumer providing out direct contact information.
