I had a problem and it was solved in a timely manner so I don't have much to say besides that after several times I've dealt with them all my problems were solved pretty easily and fast.

I purchased a Microsoft surface pro 3 on the date of June 19.2019 for the amount of 168.90 then on the June 24th a plan for square int he amount of 15.00 for electronics 2 year the seller mailed me the package I ahve that in hand and called to register the product was informed no need to register unless filing a claim but then was told that the item was fake and not going to be upheld. Weird it is fake when I had the actual plan and everything with it in my hands, but OK so I called eBay and notified them of what the square trade rep *** me about this plan the eBay rep looked into it said that it is not fake and they did not know why SquareTrade was giving me issues. So I stated it is just 15 I will buy another plan just to save the fighting of this situation. Wen online back to eBay bought yet another plan a 2 year electronic plan on July 17th 2019 for the amount of 26.55. Called square trade again to register gain was told no need so I did not worry about registering it however now that I need to make a claim I ahve been fighting with customer service to get my plan registered and my claim started since the 5th of December 2019. They kept giving me the run around. They were first like “we need receipts”, first off eBay nd online store of such do not give receipts just a purchase history in which I screen shorted and sent them all kinds of that type of proof. Yet still not good enough still wanted a paper receipt. So I again called eBay adn explained my situation I asked them if they could provide me with some type of actual order details proof and they indeed did emailed me order details summary down to even the last 4 of the card I used to make my purchase pmt. still to today SquareTrade are saying it not them it another company warranty which is Wrong because the warranty and receipt clearly says their company’s name sent hem proof several times between the screenshots nad the emails from eBay and the receipts eBay sent me via email. Still fighting with them. So, basically I bought 2 plans and they are not wanting to honor either one. I also explained to them I only need to send my surface pro 3 in to be reset to factory as it is not letting me keeps saying cannot reset and no changes were made need to sell the item since I got a new iPad Pro fro my birthday. I don’t see a way to attach any of my proof here? Would also love for you to be able to see the hundred of contact_emails back in fourth to and from the company. I even spoke with a supervisor with the company his name is *** Customer experience manager *** the email he sent me is from *** and the ticket numbers I was given from him was *** that in my email from him the ticket number form the beginning was
12-5-2019—- *** all of these should in reality be the same ticket number with the exception of when it was sent to a manager instead of just a customer rep. These are all to and from so basically just it started with one email and replied back and fourth except hte new email from the Shah manager!. I am very frustrated at this point and am done trying to resolve it through the company please help me get resolution.

To discuss the situation and to determine a resolution to their concerns.We were able to clarify the reason why the warranty was not able to be honored. Based on our conversation both parties were satisfied with the final results and we appreciate the consumer bringing this matter forward.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me as they offered to go ahead and pay put the coat of the item itself and resolve the issue supposed to be sending me a check foe the amount paid for the item in 168.90 by usps. Should be receiving said check by within 10 business days

DON'T BUY COVERAGE, TOTAL SCAM!!! Absolute worse ever! Refused to process claim because they wanted the manufacturer to cover it. Explained to them that the manufacturer said that they would need to charge me but still they refused and told me that I needed to continue to call manufacturer. Rep stated that they would not replace item within the first year despite their warranty covering my item for 2 years from date of purchase. So basically I paid for a year of coverage that they don't intend to cover me for. So basically I have a broken electronic that I must hold on to till my one year is up before they will help me. NEVER AGAIN BUYING AN ELECTRONIC FROM *** AND THEIR LOUSY WARRANTY. SHOULD JUST STICK WITH *** ELECTRONICS AND THEIR WARRANTY.

I purchased an extended warranty on a TV and Square Trade refuses to honor the agreement. When I called in I to place a claim the agent kept asking me leading questions and repeating and rephrasing those leading questions. "Was there any damage to the TV" "Did anyone hit the TV" "Did the TV Fall". After sending photos the denied my claim stating that there "clear indication of physical damage on your television". Due to an Internal Crack in the TV. There has been no Physical Damage to this TV. After some research I discovered there is something called a Thermal Crack, which causes the screen to crack and blink off and on. This is the exact condition I described and is explained here in this CNET Article

A Thermal Crack is a crack on the inside of the TV screen is considered a thermal crack from heat (an internal failure) not impact damage.

Square Trade TV warranties offer extensive coverage against hardware or electrical failures, but there are certain issues our policies do not cover. This includes physical damage or burn-in, as stated within your policy warranty contract. When this consumer contacted Square Trade our specialists requested images of the item to verify the issue. This is a standard process for all TV claims, as this allows our specialists to diagnose the issue and determine the best steps forward. However, once these images were provided there were very clear indications of a point of impact on the device screen. This is the cause of the current distortion issue and why we were unable to approve this claim. We understand the consumer disagrees with this diagnostic but Square Trade extensively trains our specialists to recognize different failure types. In this case, several specialists independently reviewed the images and all parties came to the same consensus of physical damage. We greatly apologize for any inconvenience but we would not be able to service this product.

This was one of the best decisions I've ever made to purchase the Square Trade Warranty! Unfortunately my TV black screened far too soon, but Square Trade representatives took excellent care of me. They could not have been nicer, understanding, professional and quick to act. I qualified for a replacement model immediately, received my email with three new brand name TVs to choose from and happily made my choice. In a week my new TV was delivered and works fine. A great investment!

I cracked the sceen on my phone and Square Trade sent me to their partner repair shop and they fixed it in 2 hours. I am very satisfied and pleased with the representatives I talked to and how easy and helpful they are.

Purchased w square trade warranty for a tv, it's now having software issues, square trade says it's not covered. Appears this warranty is a big waste of money as I was told at *** it covered the TV in all as long as you didnt due the damage by dropping or spilling something on it. What a fraud.

Very poor customer service ! I will never buy an extended warranty again ! I had not had my *** for a full year, the screen messed up and nobody will replace my TV! They said it was physical damage by looking at a picture I sent them, however only 2 adults live in my home and nobody was home all day came home turned the TV on and it was like some bulbs are out or something! They do not stand by their guarantee
