Purchased an Amazon Device on 08/07/2019 with Square Trade Warranty. Bought device for child that does not live with me. Device stopped working. Called SquareTrade to file a claim. SquareTrade requesting that I have the information that the child logged into the account with. If this information is not given, product cannot be replaced. SquareTrade indicates that they can see that I paid for the tablet and the warranty is registered to me but because the login information is not registered to me they cannot replace the tablet. No where in the warranty is this a requirement or on their website but they are indicating that this is a requirement

Which are available depends on the item and issue.These resolutions are detailed within the terms and conditions of our warranty contract. SquareTrade notates all interaction with the consumer. Upon the account verification, we have not had any interaction with the consumer regarding this item. SquareTrade protection plans are extended warranties that cover the consumers beyond the manufacturer's warranty period to ensure there are no gaps in coverage and continues after their year ends. As an overview of the consumer's warranty, the warranty covers Accidental or Physical damage. We will need a copy of the receipt of the item since this information has not been provided to us, and we will file a claim for the consumer. Thanks

I purchased the square trade warranty for one of my children's Tablets. The tablet was subsequently broken one time and then dropped in water a 2nd time. When it was dropped in water I asked that the warranty be executed and they pay out the value of the time. I was worried that there would be quality issues with the repair. They declined and said that they had to try to repair the item first. I received the item back and it seemed fine. I find out now that the item is not responding to touch even though it's in perfectly fine condition. it has been a couple of months but I can see the screen pulling away from the tablet and I can tell that the repair work if poor. I called to have the device fixed and they tell me that they have spent 200.00 on the tablet and it exceeds the value of the tablet and they can't do anything about it. They refused to fix their poor work. They proceeded to tell me that they have put rules in place that are fair for the business and the customer. NO its fair to live up to the coverage that I purchased that should run until 2022, I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE AGAIN.

We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding our warranties.SquareTrade warranties include a coverage amount that typically equals the purchasing price of the relevant product. Our warranty is in place until the length of the plan (coverage term) or until the coverage amount is met (limit of liability), whichever comes first. We provide customers access to their warranties via our mobile app or website, where you can see additional details regarding your coverage.In this instance, SquareTrade provided two repairs on the device on two different issues which exceeding the limited liability.The first repair was for liquid damage on the 1st of May and the second repair for a crack screen on the 1st of July.Each repair has a 90-day warranty for the issue that it was sent in. Squaretrade provides repair, replacement, and reimbursement as our resolutions to address consumer claims.These resolutions are detailed within the terms and conditions of our warranty contract. Which resolution is available depends on the item and issue. Being that we have provided a repair resolution option, we have met our obligations beneath this warranty.Thanks

I cracked my phone and got a replacement phone within a week. They made it easy for me as this is my only phone and I live alone and need the phone as I am handicapped. The replacement phone was giving me trouble I called them and they helped me get in touch with Consumer Cellular my carrier to fix the problem. They stayed online with me to make sure my problem was solved. Both SquareTrade and consumer Cellular were very helpful and understanding. Great customer service thank you

I brought a 65" Samsung QLED TV from Costco on 11/12/2016. I brought the extra 3 years protection plans with square trade. On Nov. 25,2019 the TV started acting up, Called square trade and gave them everything they wanted. Had to call them 4 more times. They came the TV was Damage and will not stand good for there protection plan. This TV WAS NOT DAMAGE, they have not ever came out to look at it. I would have brought a Samsung protection plans if I new this company was a scam. They took my money, but don't want to fix the problem.

Process was smooth and efficient. My daughter's phone was damaged while she is at college. I coordinated the repair from my home (through SquareTrade's website) and she had her phone fixed locally. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

They provided a hassle free experience so that I could replace my damaged chair! Excellent!

The claim was submitted 11/17/19 for a Consumer Cellular Senior cell phone and was guaranteed by your company in one to two business days. I called 4 days in a row trying to get this issue resolved. Today is now 11/24/19 and the simple answer was only, there’s nothing we can do on our end leaving me still with zero solution or help. This was a replacement phone for my mother with 1 button medical access in case she falls whom also is a 70 years old woman, handicapped with cerebral palsy and developmental delay due to stroke...all of WHICH I EXPLAINED AND HAD DOCUMENTED each and every time I called explaining why it was so time sensitive. As a Firefighter/Paramedic who works in customer service and serving the community, I can assure you I understand mistakes happen, but this by far has been the worst experience using your company as I trusted in the reliability of your Warrenty and words.

Upon review of the consumer's account, we were able to see that they were approved for a replacement.As per the details updated in the system by Consumer Cellular, The phone was shipped out under the USPS Tracking number ***. The status of the delivery is November 19, 2019, at 11:56 am Delivered, In/At Mailbox to the address on file. Since the consumer has informed that they have not received the device we partnered with consumer cellular to able to have another replacement phone sent to the consumer since this one appears to be lost in transit. We apologize once again for this inconvenience. Thanks

My printer still arrived broken only somewhat fixed. Sent in because printer was not printing at all. When my printer came back from "repair" it was not printing blue and was printing with a lot of horizontal lines. After 3 hours of troubleshooting myself and about 50 test prints I finally got it working to full capacity.
It's more like Square Trade kinda fixed it and I fully fixed it myself. I will never be buying Square Trade again. Shame. I expected it to arrive fully repaired.

My problem isn't solved yet, but so far the costumer service is amazing.
Hopefully, they'll help me out with my headphones

I purchased a treadmill from *** and also purchased the extended warranty from Square Trade. Over a month ago a bolt broke on the treadmill. Manufacturers warranty only covers 6 months, so this was outside of the manufacturers warranty. It was simple I emailed the info and what was broken they sent a pre-paid mailing that I printed out packed it up & dropped off at a *** drop site and I get daily updates ! Anything I buy that offeres warranty i'm adding it i'm 100% happy !

I give a 5 star review caused it was quick, easy, and painless but I do feel like they could have done a lil better with the amount refunded.

They are awesome in fulfilling the warranties.. I will always make sure I get one on each product

I have the extended warranty on my laptop issued through ***. The SquareTrade portion of their warranty covers drops and spills. I spilled diet soda on my laptop, and it would not turn on. It came back to life a few days later and was working, but a month later it would not power on again.

I contacted SquareTrade through their website and told them of the problem. They sent me a prepaid box. They "repaired" it and sent it back, with both hard drives wiped. The laptop powered on, but when I went to use the keyboard for the first time, about 8 of the keys on the keyboard produced no letters when pressed. They were functioning the last time the laptop was working, before it refused to power on.

I called SquareTrade this time, as this was what was required for an ongoing claim. While on the phone, they requested to access my laptop remotely, and I agreed. The tech verified what I had told him about the keys not working. He made notations on the account. They sent me a box. I filled out the paperwork again telling them what was wrong, so they had my notes as well. I sent it in, they sent it back. They repaired ONE key on the keyboard. The rest of the malfunctioning keys still don't work.

I called SquareTrade a third time. This time I asked for a refund. I told them I was unhappy with their service, and that they had botched the job twice. The tech rep said that I had to send it in one more time before I could get a refund. She said after this last time, if it isn't repaired properly, THEN I could get a refund. I asked her to make a notation on the account stating so. She said she did. She said she would send another box and prepaid label, but I asked to use the box they had just shipped it back to me in, and to email me the prepaid label. She said she would. She didn't. I went online and chatted with support to see if they would email me the label. They told me that I couldn't reuse the box; that once again, I had to wait for another box to be shipped to me.

At this point, I am left with no choice but to ship it again. But I have lost faith in the company, and I don't believe that they will honor their return policy. Their repair team is grossly incompetent. They included a checklist both times that showed that a QA employee verified that the keyboard was working. So they are dishonest as well.

We got the computer back and nothing was repaired. The techs wiped the OS (Windows) and did not replace the graphics card that was the problem as promised. We basically wasted all of our time for nothing. Then we reloaded the computer, for nothing. I had to wait extra days because someone did not ship it back to us on time like promised in the email, for nothing. Are your tech people just not experienced?
My personal recommendation is to teach or make your tech people go back to school to learn how to do their job. If I did this at my job I would be fired.
I do not understand how this happened. Since I talked to someone about the issue ahead of shipping the computer to the repair center. I was told in an email given, that I was approved to have the graphics card replaced - only to have the Windows wiped clean and no repair. Completely useless. This wastes my valuable time as this computer was needed and not available.

Very knowledgeable customer service! After a little bit of trouble shooting over the phone, I was getting a replacement. Transaction was great!
