Have Sq Trade through Consumer Cellular. They listened, and replaced phone within 2 days. Really appreciate accurate, fast, replacement service. Have had their policy in the past, but never had to use it. Nice to see quality hasn't changed and it's worth paying for. Thank you. Would use again.

I purchased a TV from amazon and purchased squaretrade warranty. The TV is installed in a COVERED BACKYARD, means NO exposure to the weather condition. After three years TV showed some faded lines. I filled a claim with SquareTrade (I had purchased 5 Years warranty). After 10 days back and forth, they Square Trade came back with a phony excuse that per warranty the TV is not covered as it is outside the home exposed to weather. Despite explaining to them that:
1- the provided document to me at the time of warranty purchase has no mention of weather exposure and 2- even tho the TV is installed in the backyard, it is a covered area and the TV is not exposed to weather. I have asked them to honor their warranty and provide me with the proof of "weather exemption document" that was sent to me at the time of purchase. So far, I not getting run around from customer service in Karachi. No proof of document has been provided and no one has gotten back to me as why a covered backyard is not covered even tho no weather exposure is involved. The Square Trade is a SCAM!

We apologize for the experience. Square trade provides repair, replacement, and reimbursement as our resolutions to address consumer claims. Which resolutions are available depends on the item and issue.As an overview, the policy covering the consumer product is a Standard plan, which protects against hardware and electrical failures due to normal usage. Unfortunately, this plan does not cover physical or liquid damage, that the item can sustain from indoor or outdoor usage.When this matter was brought to our attention, we created a new claim for the consumer. A certified technician will schedule a visit to diagnose T.V failure. Upon diagnostic, we will provide the consumer with the resolutions outlined within our terms and conditions.Thank you, JR

They covered my phone, but after a $129 deductible, I am wondering it was worth having the insurance, as my total cost was $300 (keeping in mind I already paid about $60 in premiums).
The claim was mostly ok, but I did have to go back for additional documentation, which was a bit stressful.
I will say that initial response, approval & check were all delivered quickly!

I had an amazing experience. The service was fast and easy. There was no problem at all, I got my laptop back within 2 weeks! GREAT SERVICE, very pleased!!!

SquareTrade is always very easy to work with. I have used them twice due to broken phone screens. The first time they refunded me the complete amount of money I paid for the phone after sending my broken phone into them. I had my money in my bank account within 48 hours after sending the phone. The second time, which was very recently, I sent my broken phone into them and they gave me a choice of two different phones to send back to me. My phone was unfixable and also it was a phone that was not being made anymore. So they could not offer to send the exact replacement. But honestly I got an upgraded phone compared to the one I sent in. Overall very satisfied and the customer service is always very easy to work with. Fast, proficient, and good service. Not bad for a $7 fee

On Sept 18th, 2019 I purchased a pair of Bose SoundSport headphones from a Walmart in Erie Pa. I had been looking at multiple headphones in the store when an associate approached me to ask if I needed any assistance. I told him I was looking for a decent pair of headphones but didn't want to spend too much because I have a tendency to damage them because I like to wear them at work and they can get banged up. He then told me about the Walmart Protection Plan and told me that no matter what headphones I buy if I also bought the protection plan that and I quote "No matter what happens to them this plan covers everything except if they are lost or stolen!" I even confirmed "So if I damage these they will be covered and I can get a replacement?" and his reply was "As long as you don't lose them and as long as they are not stolen the plan covers this!"

Now I'm a paramedic and I wear my headphones quite a bit between calls and I will hang them around my neck when I'm busy and can't have them in, tonight I was getting out of my ambulance and they got caught on the seat-belt as I took it off and I didn't realize and they fell out and onto the ground. They were then backed up over and broken, probably beyond repair.... No sweat though because I paid for the protection plan.... So I log into the walmart app and go to file a claim and low and behold, this isn't a "PROTECTION" plan.... this is an Extended Warranty, I can't even attempt to file a complaint because SquareTrade wants me to file a Warranty Claim with Bose..... This plan does not cover accidental damage which is what the Walmart Associate told me! I totally feel duped because 1. I would never have purchased these headphones at $129 and two would never have paid another $15 for protection that isn't even protection, it is an extended warranty..... The definition of "Protection" from Websters is this "to cover or shield from exposure, injury, damage, or destruction" This is extremely misleading!!!!!

Square Trade will process a refund for the damage headphones via check though this is an exception to the standard process. I purchased a printer with a Square Trade Warranty. Square Trade has failed to comply with their warranty option for me to receive a refund if the product continues to have mechanical issues. The product has continued to have mechanical issues and now I'm being told they will not give me a refund.

However, these resolutions are ultimately determined per our discretion. When this matter was brought to our attention, we tried to contact the consumer via email and phone. They play the blame game. After contacting *** and spending an hour with them trouble shooting and them specifically telling me that it is the TV itself and to contact SquareTrade to get a new one since I purchased a 3 year warranty. I contacted SquareTrade and they spent 20 of the 30 minutes putting me on hold "putting in paperwork on my behalf" only to tell me it is not the TV it is the software and to contact *** who told me to contact them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! THEY ARE A SCAM! I paid for 3 years warranty on the product and I am only a year and a half in and they are refusing to help and blaming *** not the product so there is nothing they can do but keep my money while I keep a broken product. To top it all off their website doesn't even work and you have to keep refreshing the page to even get anywhere through the process. They closed my claim on me and I cannot even access that information anymore and what is the resolution? Me paying for a smart tv that is now dumb and paying for a warranty that cannot be used because "its *** fault its not connecting to my internet" even though *** spent an hour with me proving it is the TV not the software or even personal connection.

We purchased a laptop from Staples in August, 2018. At that time we also purchased a warranty for the laptop. It ended up being with ***. In August of 2019 the laptop stopped working. We took it to Staples for a diagnostic. The said the hard drive needed replacing. We called ***. This was about a month ago. Before we were provided a box to ship for repairs a technical employee got into our computer remotely. He removed two of our softwares. He promised he would reinstall the softwares. They sent a box to ship the laptop for repair. We were provided a tracking number. It says it was delivered Monday morning. We have the name of the person who signed for it. *** has been doing stalling tactics all through this process. If we had bought this laptop at Best Buy and bought their warranty this laptop would have been repaired or replaced a long time ago. We have been doing without this laptop since some time in August. We want them to repair it and return it to us with the two softwares they promised to reinstall. No more stall tactics. This is absolutely ridiculous how long the process is. We will never buy from any where but Best Buy. RIDICULOUSLY LONG TIME FROM CALLING *** TO GETTING PRODUCT RETURNED TO YOU.

Some of the ways we've improved this process include some preliminary troubleshooting.We've found this to be successful with fixing a wide variety of issues with consumers' items like laptops. In this case, when the consumer called in on the 17th of September, we filed a claim for their device. The claim was approved for mail-in repair. Square trade uses certified technicians to complete our repairs, of whom extensively audit every product that we service. Entering our facilities and exiting. Items will only be sent back to the consumer if all hardware components pass this diagnostic testing to make sure that the repair was successful.Upon review of the account, we can confirm that the device has been repaired and mailed back to the consumer within our promised timeline stated within our terms and conditions. Square trade understands the need of the consumers' having a working device. Therefore before proceeding through the troubleshooting steps, or repairs, we informed the consumers verbally and in writing to back up the data of there item. Although we try to protect their data during repair, we can't guarantee that the data will not be lost during the process. By the consumer backing up there information will guarantee them to recover their data and programs. In this instance, the consumer was showing signs of issues with the hard drive, and upon repair, the operating system was reloaded.We have provided the consumer with a full warranty refund that will be mailed via check. I have always had great experiences with Squaretrade. I mainly buy their warranties on items like air conditioners and dehumidifiers that are known to have high failure rates. I have had no problem getting claimed approved. So far I have had four claims paid out promptly (listed below). Their customer service agents have always been prompt and helpful. I know I sound like a shill, but I personally will continue to buy Squaretrade warranties on items I know are likely to fail just for the peace of mind.
One portable ac unit, two dehumidifiers, one hard drive.

fast easy friendly service no hassle's worth every dollar I spent on the extra warranty and I really like the follow up to make sure all is good.

I have used Square Trade for many years but have never had to file a claim so I was well pleased when a claim I just made went so smoothly and their customer service reps understand exactly what my concerns were and were very helpful to walk me through the process. This is a great warranty company and I recommend them to everyone and will use them again with all of my purchases.
