Excellent handling of warranty claims with no hassle. Refund check on a bad printer was forwarded in a timely manor.
I had a problem with my computer and I did not fall into the guidelines of their contract (I am travelling overseas with it currently). They worked hard to come to a workable solution for me and I really appreciate them going the extra mile. I have been using them for years... and I don't always need them, but when I do they are there!! Love them and recommend them to everyone I know.

Tried to file claim on line and was immediately denied. So I immediately called and was in touch with a representative. That part was easy..... So after reviewing my problem, then came the "option" of what I could receive. Not good enough for me so I said well there had to be more then 1 option available so then came the 2nd "option" that they tried to make it sound like it would be such a hassle,(insert eyeroll)...NOPE.... 3rd option finally after not accepting the one of the first two and it was to my satisfaction...PLEASE offer options up front and don't drag your feet....All in all was pretty satisfied with the option I chose...
The worst insurance every. Square trade denied my claim for malfunction to my headphones because of normal sweat from the gym. Please use *** if possible I've never had a problem with *** I've tried to reach out to someone higher up in the chain and they haven't responded. Horrible Service!!!
I was very pleased with the rapid turn around once we were able to ship the tv. It took almost a week for us to get our shipping box, however. And getting through to the correct person/dept. when reporting issues can take a long time. I was on hold 57 minutes before I got through to the dept I needed. On the other hand, It was only one week from the day we shipped our tv to the day it was returned..and so far it seems to be working perfectly.
I have been doubled billed for a warranty for months. I only have one phone, why would I need 2 plans? I have attempted to cancel unsuccessfully. Plan numbers are *** and only one was purchased on 3/12/19.
We apologize for any difficulty with the warranty plan experience. We aim to make all of Square Trade process hassle-free and always want to provide an immediate service to our consumers. The consumer accounts have been reviewed and we were able to see that they consumer had initiated a chat with Square trade and was able to successfully cancel warranty plan *** on the 10th of august. Regarding the warranty plan *** we were able to see that it was still active and had no record of communication regarding a request to cancel, as per the consumer request it has been cancelled at this time. We have provided an full refund of the monthly payments done so far on the warranty plan *** via check, though this is an exception to the standard process. Since the plan was a monthly payment plan, going forward they will no longer be charged. Once the billing period ends they will receive an email confirmation from Square Trade stating that the warranty is no longer active. We again apologize for your experience and we'll be reviewing it to see where we can improve on situations were consumers are charged double on warranties. We appreciate The consumer taking the time and we hope we've improved your view of Square trade. Thank you

Wonderful customer service, efficient and resolved my issue quickly. The item should have been covered by the manufacturers *** 1 yr. warranty but they would not honor it due to it being purchased on ***, I called Square Trade and told them of my dilemma and they did honor their warranty and promptly issued a complete refund:) Highly recommend, even for less expensive items they are worth it!!
After days of useless trying to fix my *** desktop with their online support I remembered I had bought an extended warranty from SquareTrade! When I accessed the technical support team, the technician was very polite and within a few hours my computer was working again! I really love Square Trade warranties and I have most of my products insured with them.
In January, we purchased a 299.00 radio from *** We purchased the SquareTrade warranty through them. A few weeks ago, we started having problems with the radio, so I filed a claim with them last week to have the radio replaced. I was told at first it was a manufacturer warranty issue and to contact *** which I did. They said because *** wasn't a "preferred Pioneer dealer", there was nothing they could do. So I went back to Squaretrade. They told me on 8/3 that I needed to have a repair shop look at it to see if it could be repaired and that we would pay for it and they would reimburse us. We took it to a place Monday who told is it was a bad unit and needed to be replaced. I was told the place we took it to wasn't correct and to try another place. So we took it to another shop on Tuesday 8/6 and the guy charged us $80 to look at it and said the same thing. So total with the cost of a new radio, plus the $80 charge to diagnose, it came to 394.85 with taxes. So we sent the invoice to SquareTrade as requested and were told it was approved, but had to go through another group to be looked at. This was two days ago. We were told we would hear something in 24 hours and we did not. We have called so many times over the past week and we can get no one to help us. A supervisor called me last night at 11:30 our time and woke me up. All he told me was that I should be hearing something back first thing this morning to let me know what the final decision was. So far, nothing. I cannot get anyone to help with this company. We have been hung up on, transferred and talked to like we are the i

We apologize for any miscommunication.We're sorry to hear of the consumers' dissatisfaction with our services.Square trade has multiple repair resolutions, though which one is available depends on your item and the issue it is experiencing. In this instance, the consumers' claim was approved for a local repair, a resolution which has utilized for years. This option is typically considered a quicker way to get the item working again. The warranty covers the consumer for the length of the plan (coverage term) or until the coverage amount is met (limit of liability), whichever comes first.In this instance, by the consumer taking the item repaired locally paying for a diagnostic and then proceed to purchase a replacement without consulting Square Trade surpassed the limit of liability. We understand that the consumer was not informed correctly on the process and Square Trade approved a new claim for this item for reimbursement. on the 9th of August, we provided the consumer with the resolution and a pre-paid shipping label for the defective unit to be sent in for us to provide a reimbursement once the unit has been received. Square Trade, also, has provided a refund for the diagnostic fee that the consumer incurred via check though this is an exception to the standard process.By providing the consumer with a full reimbursement of the item, and the diagnostic we have exceeded the warranty limit and therefore completed their plan. We again apologize for any inconvenience.
Ok so here is my latest experience with square trade. Used to be a big fan but perhaps since it is now owned by a parent company things went downhill. Purchased their phone warranty. Had my phone damaged they asked me to ship it for repairs. Add shipping out .. days of "repair" we were like 7 days in... Then the repair company asked for my pin... very odd to give them that but they said they needed it to test the phone. Ok I thought,... Then a bit later ohh.. cant repair your phone.. sending you a replacement. Wait some more time. Then receive a bad replacement. Wrong color by the way it was the cheaper black version vs white... So then 30 minutes of phonecalls chats 3 people etc.. We do not have that phone in stock.. "We will let you know when we can send you a working phone" . Also please note it might not be the phone you purchased color etc.. Least of my worries at this point.
Square Trade is a great company. Had to use them twice, received all the documentation needed and within a day including my return label to send my item back for repair. They took about four days ( always corresponding back) and I am very impressed with their customer service and turn around time. Recommend them to anyone who is interested. Great investment!
Excellent service issue was resolved quickly and had my new tv in ten days
In April of 2018 I purchased an All in One touch screen computer from *** and was offered a Warranty with Square Trade for an additional $59.99. I was informed by an employee at *** and another person at Square Trade through there customer service along with the brochure that clearly advertised that the warranty would cover a cracked screen. However for the 2nd time with this company I have been denied my claim to have an item repaired. I believe this company is in the business of swindling people out of there hard earned money.

As an overview, the policy covering the consumers product was a Standard plan, which protects against hardware and electrical failures due to normal usage. Unfortunately, this plan does not cover against physical or liquid damage, We understand the consumer felt the experience was not as expected. We have issued the consume a full warranty refund and again we apologize for the inconvenience. Thank You

On July 8, 2019, I purchased a *** for $599.00 from *** and purchased their ***, for $54.00. On July 15,2019 there was an accident with the computer and I contacted Square Trade. I explained to the representative at Square Trade that the computer was for my grandson (14 yrs old). The issue was the computer fell accidentally off of his bed and the screen cracked and their was liquid shown and the computer was inoperable. I was given a claim number *** and was told the computer was approved for repair. I told the rep I was not a tech but the best course of action was to send out a new computer as that was one of the options. I sent the computer to square trade it was kept for four days because of the weekend then return to me and NOTHING had been done to the computer. This is unacceptable. Square Trade motto is fix fast, fast, fast and obviously not correct. I am seeking a full refund of $709.67 plus $73.98 shipping from *** This is my first time dealing with Square trade and I was charged $168.00 for deductible. I would think that alone would be incentive to get it right. I should not be expected to take a $951.65 lost and still not have a computer. this is egregious.

The warranty for this laptop does not have a deductible. Square trade provides packaging and pre-paid shipping labels to make sure that the consumers do not incur into any additional cost. Square trade allows the consumers to modify the address on the accounts in the case that the item is located in another address this assures that the item gets shipped to and from the owner of the device. In this instance, the consumer was approved for a mail-in repair to address the crack screen on the laptop.Square trade uses certified technicians to complete our repairs, of whom extensively audit every product that we service. Items will only be sent back to the consumer if all hardware components pass this diagnostic testing to make sure that the repair was successfully made. In the case, an item is returned and it is not working correctly the consumer can send it back to get the issue addressed, within the rework period. Square trade has no record of the consumer informing that the repair was not successful. We encourage that the consumer allows us to fix the issue that the laptop has. I was told there was a crack in my screen that I caused. That was determined over pictures that I sent to their email. I can physically confirm there are no cracks in the screen but I was told that it was caused by me. There was no attempt for them to come and look at it themselves nor a place for me to drive to for them to review the damages.
The warranties by squaretrade are nothing but false promises. Not worthy your money.
will not honor the warranty I bought on a product. I bought I warranty on a used cell phone I bought on ***. The warranty is supposed to cover mechanical defects(but not accidental damage). The phone was charged in a normal manor and not "over-charged". In fact I only purchased the phone because of the availability of the warranty. The phone has a swollen battery and *** claims it is an accident caused by overcharging.
We apologize we were unable to honor this claim.*** Standard Protection plans do cover hardware or electrical failures due to normal usage. However, when this claim was filed it was explained there was a crack to the back of this device. This would be considered physical damage and would require an Accident Protection plan to be covered.Due to this we have processed a full refund of the warranty purchasing price.

the battery swelled due to normal charging. The swelled battery caused the phone back to bulge and crack as it pressed against the case the phone was in.

I called *** to claim a repair at the end of June with six months left on my warranty.and was told no that they would not repair my lap top. They said that they only repaired items up to the cost of warranty !!! They said that It had been repaired "almost" five times already. All five times it was sent in the year 2018. Four of which were "supposedly" repaired in a four month span. From March to July. The fan was screeching, another time a drink splattered on the key board.it was sent right back because the keys were still sticking.One of those last two times it was shipped back to me with the corner bashed in !!!!!!!!! And I had to turn around and send it right back. Then in July I tried to *** with a friend and for some reason the sound and camera were not working. And I don't know anything about lap tops so I sent it in. Then when I received it back after they supposedly fixed it. It was the same !!!!! It seemed as though they didn't do anything to it There where other thing wrong also and I though when they reinstalled windows it should fix the problem. But they didn't reinstall windows !!! I was so mad that they had my lap top more than I had in the four months!!! I decided to keep it for awhile so I could get some work done on it as I was losing money :( So I called this last time at the end of June finally caught up with work, and they refused to fix it. With six months left on my warranty. Fist of all If the keys keys weren't still sticking I wouldn't of had to send it back. And also If it wasn't shipped to me with the corner smashed in I wouldn't of had to send it back!! And now im only expecting that they fix the issues that I sent it back to have fixed in July when it was sent back to me no different than It was when I sent it in!! When I talked to them In July I told them my boot time was over a min. That was the same when sent back to me too !!! I have a 10 yr old lap top that boots in 45 seconds. I take the best care of them and run several cleaners every day. There is no good reason why they shouldn't fix what was supposed to be fixed in July so I wouldn't have to go through this !!!

I rejecting this response because......The coverage amount of liability was not met. One time it was returned because the keys where still sticky after being sent in for repair for that problem and returned unresolved. Another time it was returned to me with the corner bashed in and had to be returned immediately for repair on their damage. I took it out of the box damaged. And the last time it was sent to them it came back to me in the same state that it was sent to them for repair.

We apologize if the consumer disagrees with the completion of this warranty.This item was repaired numerous times for varying issues, though any repairs related to the previous claim did not negate from the overall plan limit of liability. However, numerous of these repairs were in relation to separate issues and therefore were charged to the account limit. Once a warranty limit of liability has been met we cannot provide any additional claims once we are outside the rework period for the last claim. The last claim for this product was completed 1/2019 and we were not notified of any issues until almost half a year later.Due to this we are unable to provide any additional claims.
My experience was excellent. The representative was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. My reimbursement was processed quickly.
I would expect more for being part of All State. I will never buy a plan from square trade again. I had an approved claim. They said 5 business days for the check. The check never came. They said wait 10 days. Still no check. I contact customer service again and they send the issue to accounting. 3 days later still no response from accounting. I contact them again and they say I will be contacted within 24 hours. What a joke. Paid for this plan and they cant even cancel a check and reissue it
