Customer service was very understanding and patient with my my claim was replaced in two days

I submitted a claim and had a replacement the next day would purchase to plan again any time.

Service was quick and fair. I will insure with them again if I need insurance on a product.

I bought a Acer computer screen on 08/27/2017 and a warranty from staples. Today I turned on the screen and its has lines and is not working. I contacted square trade and they advised me that its broken and the screen inside is broken however they are saying its because of physical damage and not screen failure so they don't have to honor the warranty. I have been using the computer screen everyday and it was never dropped at all. The only thing they offered is to give me back the 15 dollars for the warranty however I want my screen fixed or replaced. Also I have tried to call the number they advised before making the complaint however I can never get anyone to answer. I have waited over a hour many times and never can reach a live person.

Squaretrade Standard Protection plans are intended to cover hardware or electrical failures due to normal use, not physical or liquid damage. These types of issues are covered beneath our Accident Protection plan, though we understand there is a discrepancy regarding how this failure occurred.
When this was brought to our attention we verified the account and reviewed the claim and confirmed that a payout resolution was given the consumer we hope the consumer is satisfied with the results and we again apologize for this experience.

I bought a new TV 11/11/19 and purchased a squaretrade 2 year extended warranty the same day. The email I received at that point said the 2 year warranty would start at the end of any manufacturer warranty, which I had a one year manufacturer warranty. (See image in link below). The problem I have is square trade now says my two year warranty started at date of purchase and is expired. This is false advertising and borderline criminal. I would like my service that I thought I paid for. Please see image below.

We apologize for any miscommunication regarding the warranty.
Square Trade does its best to ensure our plans are advertised and our partners are trained in detailing these warranties. We also provide consumers their warranty contract via email and upon request and grant access to their warranties via our website or mobile app.
We understand the consumer felt this plan's coverage was not clear upon purchase, this is something we're concerned to hear. The warranty purchase date was on the 11th of November 2016 ,the warranty coverage was for a total of 24 months.
Like all protection plans, SquareTrade coverage begins immediately after the manufacturer’s warranty expires (to make sure there is no gap in coverage).
Year 1 is covered by Manufacturer's Warranty, In the event the manufacturer is unable to assist in the first year we will, which is why our protection plans run concurrent.
Year 2 Coverage is extended by SquareTrade for one extra year.
This has been the case for many years and we greatly apologize if the consumer felt our plan was not clearly advertised, as this is something we strive to achieve.

Claim *** In December of 2018 I bought the "Best Choice 12V Toyota Tundra" ride on vehicle from BestChoiceProducts for my son and I purchased a 3 year warranty from Square Trade. The vehicle is having issues with the engine so I contacted Square Trade to have the car preferably replaced or repaired. After talking to reps with Square Trade gave me several options that were not what I expected. Option 1. Put the vehicle into my car and bring it to a mechanic so that they could look at the engine. (I had a spinal fusion in 2016 and the Car is to heavy and I don't have a vehicle in which it could fit. Option 2. Call a local mechanic to come out to my home to take a look at the vehicle (The car is a toy...)....... After talking with the reps' manager they finally found a "mechanic" (Pedego Electric Bikes (***) that could come out to my home and repair the vehicle, but me as the CUSTOMER would have to pay for it and send the invoice back to Square Trade. I have warranties on all of my home appliances and not once have I ever had to pay for the repairs when a WARRANTY is in place. Square Trade needs to rectify this situation ASAP. I feel as if Square trade has sold me a warranty on false pretenses. If I would have known that the warranty would cause me to have pay "twice" I would not have purchased it. Appalled by Square Trades "customer service".

Square Trade has multiple repair resolutions, though which one is available depends on your item and the issue it is experiencing. In this instance, the consumer's claim was approved for a local repair, where they will pay upfront for the repair, upon receiving the repair receipt SquareTrade will fully reimburse the consumer for the repair cost.
This is a resolution which Squaretrade has utilized for years. This option is typically considered a quick fix and has been shown to have a very high customer satisfaction rate.
We understand the consumer felt this resolution was not the best option for their case. When this was brought to our attention one of our specialists reached out to discuss the situation with the consumer, as well as to determine a resolution. Based on the conversation we hope the consumer is satisfied with the results and we appreciate their time speaking with us and we again apologize for this experience.

Purchased a Square Trade protection plan on a Electric Self Balancing scooter from Amazon. The item failed and the seller CHO Motor Sports refunded my purchase price after I shipped the item back to them at my expense ($46.61). Initially Square Trade advised me that the return shipping cost was not covered under the terms of the warranty. I pointed out to them that under section 11 clearly it was covered. The individual I spoke to the spoke to his supervisor and said cost would be refunded and requested I send a copy of the receipt. I did this on June 14 along with a copy of the UPS label as further proof. No response was received back. I contacted them again (by email) on the 28th of June and again no response.

They worked hard with us trying to fix the problem and when there was no solution I had a replacement television within five days.

Respectfully, It was a honor and pleasure working with Square Trade on fixing my appliance.
The customer service and technical service were superb! Being a senior citizen, the process overall and the service provided me was excellent. Thanks to all at Square Trade that were involved in my claim.

I just wish that the coverage extended to delivered damage goods. Sense I had to send the damaged watch back, how about returning my $3.99I paid for nothing.

Horrible customer service. Jumping through hoops. Waiting 48 hours again and again for them to reprocess the claim. I'm now on my 3rd "new" claim. If I didn't know better they're creating a new claim so there's no history of what happened with the previous 2.
I'm currently on the phone with them for the 6th time. They're trying to wear me down. It's ridiculous. I will try any other warranty company than Square Trade going forward. STAY AWAY!

SquareTrade offers protection services to *** customers. Cashiers at *** are selling their plans under false terms. They are encouraged to sell these plans for SquareTrade, and often time tell customers they offer protection for items and services that are not actually covered by SquareTrade, Upon calling to file a complaint about a denied claim, I was informed by the SquareTrade representative that *** cashiers just lie to sell the plans and that they (SquareTrade) are aware of this practice. Therefore, SquareTrade is knowingly allowing *** to sell insurance plans for products that they will never cover.

I've purchased the SquareTrade extended warranty several times, and I've had to use it once. The process was easy and I received money to purchase a new Iron within a few days.

I was trying to file a claim on the day my 3 year extended warrenty expired.
The person the phone told me the warrenty allready exipred and would process my claim.
My Warrenty expires on 7/20/19 and I was call on the last day to file a claim .
This is so wrong of a company to say that my warrently already expired

Squaretrade extensively trains our support specialists to offer knowledgeable and courteous service. We understand this consumer experienced difficulty speaking with our support center in regards to their warranty expiration date. We will review their claims history to see where we can improve.
Squaretrade warranties are in place to ensure an item's functionality by providing repair, replacement or reimbursement.
In this case we were able to approve the claim for reimbursement for the item and currently waiting for the unit to be sent in to process payment to the consumer. We appreciate bringing this concern to our attention.

insurance I paid to square trade, to cover item up to 2 years from 07/31/2018 till 07/31/2020. Ebay said on check out email best to purchase insurance through Square Trade, if you buy any electronic devices through EBAY, even if its new and it was a brand new in a sealed box, very nice the seller was just a consumer on Ebay sold as described. But like a lot of electronic devices they have malfunctions and they do not work,as they are supposed to being electronics, things can happen. Well first off the foil head tore thru, well they are supposed to be replaced after time of. it kinda was rough with the foil sticking out of the shaver, thats how I noticed it ,first. I was well its been used some and that can happen I by a new foil head which your supposed to do after use thought it was kinda quick but had been used a while. I bought a new one for the same model for an Adis *** model,$20.00 dollars well same thing happened but the motor runs good charges well maybe I need to use easier well didn't think I was using to fast. Well part of it is replacing head but should go awhile, they did but not long enough. Well the same after use awhile.. I bought a 3rd foil same same one colour all through andis same *** model. Well two weeks the foil came apart cut me badly three times replacing in one year almost is too much. I have a huge cut on my face it shredded right as I was shaving. ell now this isnt right I need to contact Ebay Square Trade you bought insurance your covered. I called square trade very rude sent me an emailed wrong link chat messenger said no agents.Called again same thing, called third time take photos of your purchase we didnt get, they sent to link where uploaded , it said delivered. The fifth time hung up on me I told them about how it kept coming apart the cut,hung up. Ok
they arent going to honour the $7 insurance why does ebay post it? Bad business never agai

This consumer's claim was denied and was referred to the manufacturer Squaretrade utilizes the manufacturer warranty for all items we cover, as this provides multiple benefits for our consumers. If the manufacturer refuses to honor their warranty Squaretrade can instead immediately step in to provide assistance.
This is one of our standard resolutions we do compensate for any shipping costs accrued in sending the item to the manufacturer which doesn't deduct the value of the consumers coverage. By providing manufacture referral resolution Squaretrade is honoring our contract and we save the warranty for any future claim which is why our protection plans run concurrent.

Under the terms and conditions of this company section 8 A titled “responsibility” states that you can upload the image of your receipt to the www.***.com or use your physical receipt to file a claim however after calling to file a claim and explaining that I do not have a receipt however did upload the receipt to the ***.com the representative then stated they are unable to assist for they do not have the ability to access ***.com and that I must go to the *** where I purchased my item and request the receipt for this purchase. now this is ridiculous and it’s totally unacceptable and is contradicting the terms and conditions by what the representative of this company can do. Very unprofessional

Squaretrade warranties from this reseller include access to their direct website to upload a copy of the receipt and they will store it for the consumer, The reseller provides the ability to file a claim through their site or app. The consumer has the visibility of the receipt from the reseller website and it can be downloaded and shared.
Squaretrade warranties from this reseller are sent with a number sequence, this is only located on the receipt that has the warranty purchase. They do not provide any other information of the consumer.
In order for Squaretrade to register or process a claim we require the receipt from the purchasing location which verifies the start date of the consumer's warranty. Our specialists informed the consumer of this requirement, once we are provided this documentation we will be able to proceed in the registration and claim filing process.

I am rejecting this response because company fails to take accountability for their actions. If they state the policy is the same with their coverage products then section 8A should be updated accordingly. Yes I understand they are the same, however still does NOT STATE A RECEIPT IS NEEDED WHEN FILING A CLAIM. Don’t say a receipt is able to be uploaded, stored and able to accessed when in fact it does not get stored and you will STILL need the receipt when filing the claim. Be honest and stop forcing clients to try to “read between the lines” because the company can not DIRECTLY JUST SAY THAT THIS RECEIPT IS REQUIRED FOR FILING A CLAIM EVEN IF THE RECEIPT IS UPLOADED TO THE PROVIDED OPTION WITH ***.com

I bought insurance for a filmcamera from b an h photo in ;nyc. I bought the insurance to cover the device. The charger that comes with it is not working properly, it has never fully worked properly but I haven't used the camera much till recently, and its a gamble if the charger is gonna charge it. I just want it replaced. Initially they said my complaint was approved but they sent an email saying to mail the whole camera in. I texted saying its just the charger, not the camera, that I just wanna send in the charger, not camera.
they said to give them a call which I did, then I told them the problem again and they said they could not cover accessories, which the charger is considered an accessory. I paid a lot for their bt insurance. They can cover a new charger. Its so incredibly dishonorable. Never ever again. SquareTrade are scammers

When this was brought to our attention a Square Trade specialist reached out to the consumer to determine a resolution to their concerns however the consumer was unreached.Square Trade warranties are in place to ensure an item's functionality by providing repair, replacement or reimbursement. In this case, we were not able to approve the claim because the item issue is related to the charger. As stated in our terms and conditions this item is considered a user-replaceable accessory. We understand the consumer disagrees with this process however as a one-time exception we have approved the consumer claim, for them to source the charger locally and sending us the proof of purchase and they will be fully reimbursed for the charger.

I have used Square Trade on several items purchased in the past and submitted claims as well. I am very satisfied with their service, quick response and settlement of claims. Would us their service again without question.
