Resolving my TV problem required several contact and providing the info/documentation they needed. ALL the customer representatives I dealt with were professional, helpful, pleasant, and knowledgeable! it was a pleasure to deal with Square Trade, and my problem was resolved in a timely manner.
I tried to file a claim for a tv that I have a 5 year warrantee for that started to develop a vertical line down the tv. I called several times and they told me they could do nothing for me if I did not take the tv off the wall and get the serial number. I told them on multiple occasions that I did not feel safe taking a 70 inch tv off the wall. I had this professionally mounted for a reason, and do not want to take it off the wall. Well, I finally gave in and had a friend help me take it off the wall to get the serial number (in the middle of the back of the tv - no other way to get it). Well, my biggest fear happened and the tv was damaged. Now they will not cover anything because they say I have physical damage to the tv. Yes...there is now that after time and time again, I expressed that I should not have to take the tv off the wall. I bought an in home warrantee so that I would not have to handle the tv myself because of fears of exactly what happened. I guess this is their way out of having to cover their warrantee issues.

We apologize for any difficulty experienced with this claim.Squaretrade provides repair, replacement and reimbursement as our resolutions to address consumer claims. These resolutions are detailed within the terms and conditions of our warranty contract and which are available depends on the item and issue. We do our best to accommodate consumer requests but these resolutions are ultimately determined per our discretion. In this instance the consumer was approved for a local repair, but when this resolution proved insufficient we instead approved a mail-in repair. Being that we have offered a resolution listed in our warranty contract we would be unable to provide an alternative.

Repair, Replacement Or reimbursement are the options here
1- I tried Local store that said it cant be repaired ,, and I informed you
2- Your rep told me to try *** Support center .. I did and paid $134 and get the same results and documentation from *** that I sent you a copy
3- You still insist that I sent it you for mail depot repair and I paid the deductible before you issued the shipping label.. I did and you received on 7/2 with statement that it will repair 2-5 business days .. since that day Squaretrade start dogging / hidding from me
WHAT IS MY FINAL ANSWER AFTER WEEKS WITH NO PHONE .. Repaired , Replacement or reimbursement?.. I a need that I paid 3 years warranty for.. Am I getting a phone back from you ot not?
What is my fault on here ? Why am I getting punished here being wiht out the phone?

We have provided a deductible reimbursement due to this.Square Trade will source a replacement phone for the consumer due to the extended repair time frame. We have notified the consumer via email, we hope this is a satisfactory resolution.
I purchased a 3 year coverage for my computer. I filed a claim. Square trade's chosen repair facility could not locate the broken part, so they replaced the computer, now they will not repair that computer, even though the 3 years has not expired. I want a refund of the policy because
1. THEIR facility could not get repair parts, thus OVERCHARGING for the repair they could not do, which unnecessarily increased the cost or repair, due to no fault of my own
2 Square trade refuses to honor the remainder of the contract (more than 1 year from now 7/29/2020)
We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding our warranties.Squaretrade warranties include a coverage amount which typically equals the purchasing price of the relevant product. In this instance Squaretrade provided a full reimbursement for a computer previously covered by us, fully compensating the consumer. Our warranty is in place until it's expiration or until the coverage limit for the warranty has been met. Since Squaretrade provided this consumer a check which fully compensated their item cost we have met the warranty limit and therefore completed the plan. We have also provided an additional full warranty refund as a courtesy, though this is an exception to the standard process.Squaretrade provides repair, replacement or reimbursement as our resolution options, of which are detailed within the terms and conditions of this consumer's warranty. This warranty contract can be provided at anytime upon request via email or hard copy. Being that we have provided a reimbursement resolution and have met the consumer's coverage limit we have met our obligations beneath this warranty. We would not be able to provide any additional compensation or assistance.
We purchased the extended warranty for a phone, when it came time for the claim we were denied. The phone failed. The phone was specified to be water resistant to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, but it did not. Square trade would not honor the warranty for any specifications because it was a used phone, however they offered the policy. The only thing they were willing to do is refund the value of the policy, but not value of the item the policy was to cover. The only thing they are insuring is themselves.
We're sorry we were unable to approve this claim.The warranty purchased for this item was a Standard Protection plan, of which covers hardware or electrical failures due to normal usage. Unfortunately this plan does not include coverage against physical or liquid damage, this is why we were unable to approve this claim.Though we do our best to assist all consumers we are only able to approve claims which correspond with the warranty coverage. Due to this we have cancelled and refunded the full purchasing price of the warranty.
My problem was resolved quickly and I was very happy with the options available to me.

I sent my iphone 8 plus in for repairs with square trade insurance. I was told that it was a over night fix and I would be getting my phone back the following day. Square trade received my phone on the 9th of july. I received confirmation of that. But has yet to return my phone or send me correspondence as to why I have not received my phone back as yet. Customer service is horrible and cannot give me any answers as to why I have not received my phone or why they have no information as to where my phone is. At this point this is theft and I will report it as stolen

Squaretrade uses certified technicians to complete our repairs, of whom extensively audit every product that we service. Items will only be sent back to the consumer if all hardware components pass this diagnostic testing to make sure that the repair was successfully made.
This consumer's item was recently reinspected due to concerns with the first repair, our technicians addressed their concerns and the product has been returned and delivered as of yesterday the 22nd of July.
If the consumer is still experiencing issues we would request they contact us via phone or chat support, as we have numerous policies in place to address these situations.
We understand the delay of the repair and have issued the consumer a courtesy payment.
Horrible customer and claim service, they had my product 2 times at their repair facility and returned it to me still not working. got noting but the run around on the phone for 78 minutes and no supervisor would speak to me
I can't believe I have read so many good reviews about SquareTrade. Six months ago I purchased a new $1400 laptop from *** and as one usually does after purchasing an expensive computer I bought an extended warranty to protect my purchase against accidents.
After looking at the prices of the *** warranty vs. Squaretrade's, I decided to purchase the warranty from SquareTrade. The rub is that I decided to purchase the SquareTrade warranty on *** because it was much cheaper than buying directly through the SquareTrade website. So I purchased the warranty, uploaded my *** receipt to the website, and enjoyed the peace of mind knowing my new expensive laptop was protected from drops and spills.
*** and behold, 6 months later I spill a drink all over my laptop and it shuts down and won't power on again. I panic but quickly remember I had a warranty that specifically protected against spills.
So I file a claim online and receive an email telling me to call Squaretrade because they need more information. When I call I am told that my warranty is void because I purchased it through *** after Buying my laptop from ***.
I will concede that I may have missed some fine print somewhere saying that you could only buy the warranty from the same store you purchased the device from or the SquareTrade website. But could no one have told me that after I purchased the warranty from *** and uploaded the *** receipt? I'm really only particularly angry that I wasn't told about this mistake when I purchased the warranty and could have had a chance to buy a *** warranty instead.
SquareTrade was perfectly happy to take my money knowing any claim I filed would be rejected.
I really wasn't planning on having to buy a new laptop anytime soon. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do.
They did the right thing by me.
Just was a little bit of hassle in the beginning but worth it in the end.
The product that this warranty is suppose to cover Square trade will not cover it. The product that I bought has malfunctioned and square trade will not honor the warranty that they sold to me.

January 7, 2018 I bought a pair of beats studio 2 wireless from target and with my purchase I bought a 2 year warranty plan from squaretrade for $23. July 8th, 2019 I filed a claim for my headphones because the leather cushion that sits around the ears started to crack. The headphones still worked perfectly I just didn’t like the leather piece cracking so I sent the headphones in. July 13, 2019 I check my email from squaretrade and it said “Hello ,
We are contacting you regarding the claim you filed on your Beats B0501.
An audit was performed on your device and liquid damage was found within the unit. Unfortunately, your warranty for this item does not include coverage for repairs with this type of damage.
Due to this, we will not be able to proceed with repair and will be shipping back the item to you. Tracking information will be provided to you as soon as it is available.
Since we are unable to cover your item upon your authorization, we can cancel the coverage and refund you in full the $23.00 you paid for this warranty. Simply reply back to this email with your authorization to cancel the coverage or call us at 877-927-7268.

They claim liquid damage caused the cushion to crack but these headphones were used at the gym and yes I did sweat but isn’t that what headphones are used for. I called customer service and he just kept repeating it’s liquid damage even though normal wear and tear is covered in my warranty plan. I asked the guy if he can check back in January of 2018 to see if they had a policy different that the ones I purchased because at the time this was the only policy offered to me. Beats by Apple do not sell replacement parts for these headphones so if they were to replace the cushion it would have to be a refurbished pair and that is why they are so easily to jump to saying we will refund you the $23 amount.

Which plans a product qualifies for depends on numerous factors, such as the item's purchasing location and category.In this case the item was covered by a Standard Protection plan, of which protects against hardware or electrical failures due to normal use. This claim was initially approved for wear and tear, but once received there was physical or liquid damage inside of the item. Due to this we are unable to honor this claim and we have returned the item unrepaired.We have refunded the full purchasing price of the warranty but would not be able to repair or replace this item.
The agent was very helpful in determining that my old phone was too costly to fix. They sent new phone very promptly. I hardly had any downtime ….
Really is great insurance, switch controller started drifting, they sent me a gift card email for over 90% of the price of a new joy con...let me keep the controller, *** sells parts for the joy con , I replaced 2 *** switches for eleven dollars , that were drifting on my left joy cons. I would highly recommend purchasing the insurance when you buy electronics.
Paying into ST for years (and on multiple devices) and the first time I have an issue where I need the insurance to help and I am completely let down. I will never buy a ST warranty again -- waste of money.

I received a leather desk chair two and a half years ago as a Christmas present from my husband. We also purchased the three year protection warranty from Square Trade. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that my chair had a tear in the top, and then I remembered the protection warranty. I went on line did all of the instructions and within no time I received a messge from Square Trade. They tried to find me another office chair like the one I had, but could not. So they issued me a check and I recieved the full purchase price yesterday in the mail. The whole experience couldn't have been any easier. I would highly recommend Square Trade!
The tech from the local tech were extremely knowledgeable as they located the problem.
