I had a difficult situation and the people I spoke to were very helpful and friendly and got my situation resolved in just a few days. Thanks again!
I did try as suggested to call as suggested below, called at 1130 EST and message says they are closed although it mentions they are open at 6AM Pacific Time
ALERT: Filing a complaint? Looking for a faster resolution?
Call SquareTrade's complaint line directly *** Monday through Thursday 8 am to 6:30 pm Pacific Time and a Resolution Specialist will work with you to resolve your issue.
Advertised offer of service is not available, This is the offer
*** Tried to order online, get error message and given a telephone number to call to complete transaction. After calling was told the offer is no longer available and I offered a higher priced monthly alternative, with a 50% increase in the deductible. I was also told that they (squaretrade) has know about this 'glitch', for at least several months and are working on it. To me anyway removing a webpage that's not available should be an easy task, this is not apparently not the case for SquareTrade
We apologize for any miscommunication regarding our warranties.Squaretrade is constantly updating our warranties, including the types of plans available and different pricing models. In this case the consumer located an advertisement for a previous warranty type, of which is no longer available. This is why Squaretrade has prevented the sale of this plan and we're currently working to have any older advertisements or webpages removed.Since Squaretrade has disabled the ability to purchase this plan we are not obligated to honor this type of warranty. We again apologize for any inconvenience and we're currently working to have these concerns resolved.
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: it doesn't address the concern/complaint. Since SquareTrade told me on the phone that this was a known problem that has existed for at least several months, why is it still posted on the SquareTrade website, instead of just being removed from the website?
Sincerely
Squaretrade does our best to implement process and advertising changes expeditiously, though we do not have a timeline available as of right now. This is why we have disabled the purchase of this plan.
The person who helped me was great. he took care of my issue pronto! Would highly recommend.
only issues were my problems, the service was great , took several calls because was replacing my sons broken phone , so getting his passwords an all to turn off iphone tracking and clear his phone , so once I completed those tasks, *** in a different state) the new phone sent out immediatly.
I shipped my wireless headset*** Charging cable back for repair. I triple checked all items were in the box before sealing it and dropped it off to *** Sqaretrade claims I never sent the *** they denied my claim and send back my headset. I am 99.9% sure they lost my *** so they would not have to replace my headset.
We apologize for any inconvenience experienced with this claim. When this was brought to our attention a Squaretrade specialist established contact with the consumer and discussed the situation. We determined an alternative resolution and we again apologize for any difficulty with this process.
They handled my problem very efficiently and had a TV shipped in
I was surprisingly pleased with my SquareTrade warranty experience. The process was easy to understand with the help of SquareTrade customer service
and I could understand the people that I spoke with. I was without a TV for approximately 11 or 12 days but when I received my TV it was in great shape and worked perfectly when hooked up and plugged in. I give SquareTrade warranty a 5 star rating, the people were polite and helpful.
Purchased a golf GPS device on *** and also purchased an inexpensive coverage policy from the *** vendor who sold the policy thru Square Trade. I actually forgot about the coverage until the GPS device began having problems. Once I contacted Square Trade, the claim process and completion was fast, fair and equitable. I will definitely consider insuring thru them in the future.
Very good service only took 7 days to get my item back from being fixed and was informed every step of the way once I drop off to send item to be fixed.
Fast, friendly, complex in a timely manner
The extended warranty was well worth the money. Mt printer was over three years old and the extended warranty covered it. I had the choice of either having it repaired or receiving a check. I opted to receive the check which was $111.00 which was great because I only paid for the printer when I bought it $129.00 and I was able to buy a new printer.
Purchased a 4 year protection plan on a new TV on 01/03/2016. The TV screen went dead with a white dot showing up in the lower right corner. Square trade will not honor the screen going bad saying it's due to physical damage. That is literally impossible since the TV has been mounted to the wall since day one and I'm literally on social security disability and couldn't lift ANY TV if I wanted to. I was in bed watching law and order at 11:10pm when I WATCHED this happen to the screen!!!! I've noticed SEVERAL complaints regarding this screen issue and every reply is 'you damaged it'. Are they accusing us ALL of being liars?
We apologize we were unable to approve this claim.Squaretrade TV warranties offer extensive coverage against hardware and electrical failures due to normal usage. Unfortunately most of our TV warranties do not include coverage against Accidental or Physical damage at this time, this is why are unable to approve this claim. We understand the consumer disagrees with this diagnostic but Squaretrade extensively trains our specialists to determine device failures. This process includes a combination of troubleshooting, inquiry and requesting images of the relevant failure. Several Squaretrade specialists inspected this item and due to this determination we are unable to approve the consumer's claim. We again apologize for any inconvenience and we have processed a full refund for the warranty purchasing price.
When this was brought to our attention one of our specialists reached out to discuss the situation with the consumer, as well as to determine a resolution. Based on the conversation we hope the consumer is satisfied with the results and we appreciate their time speaking with us and we again apologize for this experience.Thank you

Was looking to activate my insurance for my cellphone, so I called Squaretrade on June the 9th at approximately 11:45am pst. After about an hour of discussions with a customer service rep and his manager, I was told that my account had been cancelled. Once cancelled, they said they couldn't reinstate it. The problem is I have been paying for said service with no knowledge of cancellation. I was asked to renew my account info after having my card compromised, and not doing so would have cancelled my policy(December 2018) I renewed it clearly in a timely matter because I have been continuously billed by said company as late as this June. I'm looking to have my policy reinstated since I have never stopped paying and reimbursement for the 90 dollars I had to pay to fix my phone.
We apologize for any miscommunication regarding this account. This consumer has two warranties on file with Squaretrade, one of which was cancelled on 12/16/18. We have forwarded an email to the consumer detailing their policies. We have also requested verification from the consumer's bank regarding any miscellaneous charges, as we take concerns of this nature very seriously.
We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the consumers warranty.
We have reviewed the consumers account and our records indicate that we have processed a refund to the consumer. We again apologize and hope we're provided an opportunity to exceed your expectations in the future.
Thanks

They produced a contract today with a different number than mine their standard plan specifically states on their website it begins after the manufacturer warranty expires. They say now it ran concurrent to the manufacturer warranty but does not say that on anything other than the one she produced today. It contradicts their website as well as their how does squaretrade warranty work with the manufacturers warranty. Here is the website *** have any contract stating different than their site until today. This is just their way of not honoring the warranty. This is the second time I have delt with them the first time they had me send to the manufacturer because it was under their warranty. When the manufacturer said it was a mechanical failure due to over use. I contacted square trade and they said their warranty would not cover until after the manufacturer warranty is up. Office depot was awesome enough they covered it after I told them what had happened they fixed it for me for free and apologized said they had issues like this before. Now that I am 1 year and a few beyond the manufacturer warranty now they say it ran concurrent so either they owe me for the first year or they are just absolutely a useless company who has no business selling warranty that they try to get out of honoring.
We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding our warranty start date.During the first year of owning products Squaretrade will refer consumers to the item manufacturer for qualifying issues, as Squaretrade can only provide a finite amount of resolutions per warranty. Typically our warranties will cover the relevant item up to it's purchasing price or a certain number of claims, issues serviced by the item manufacturer do not negate from this coverage amount. We understand the consumer felt this was not clearly advertised and this is something we take great concern to address. One of our specialists has reached out to the consumer to provide additional information.
They helped me through the process just fine. Not the answer I was expecting but they lead to the answer I wanted.
Filed multiple claims for warranty repair/exchange of a phone within a 3 month period.
Initially, I was instructed to take the phone to the *** Upon consulting with the technicians, I was informed that the problem was beyond repair. I contacted Squaretrade and they instructed us to send in the device for direct repair with them. During which, I was informed (by Squaretrade) that their diagnostic test resulted in a different diagnosis that given by the *** Given their diagnosis, they decided that the phone was repairable.
Upon receiving the "repaired" device, we had the same issue within a few weeks. We contacted Squaretrade and informed them of the issue. The company sent us a replacement device. Within a few weeks we had the same exact issue. I contacted Squaretrade to request the financial reimbursement for the amount of the warranty, but the company now claims that since they sent multiple devices the warranty is complete.
I informed the supervisors that the defective replacements all exhibited the same issue as the initial device and that a financial claim in the amount of the warranty coverage is preferred. The supervisors told me that was not an option and the only option I had was to receive replacements for the device. Now, the multiple devices have been defective and the company is claiming that their limit of liability has been reached, through the issuance of defective replacements. I was informed that I would receive a call from a Customer Service Supervisor within 24 hours and it has been longer than 48 hours without a response. I sent an email only to receive a generic response instructing me to call the claims department that I have been calling without a resolution. I mentioned their Lemon policy (that there have been 2 defective devices in question within the twelve month period).
We apologize for any difficulty experienced with the repair of this product.Squaretrade has policies in place to address consumer concerns with insufficient repairs and we understand this consumer experienced repeated failures with their product. This is not the experience we strive to provide for our customers and due to this we have provided this consumer a new resolution. We hope this is satisfactory and we again apologize for any inconvenience experienced.
Filed a claim for a *** on 03/11/19 and was promptly sent a replacement *** but there were issues with the replacement. I called square trade upon receiving the defective replacement and was sent a different model, an *** phone on 3/18/19. I called and spoke to 3 different people and could not get a straight answer about why I was sent the wrong model. I had an accident last week and contacted Square trade to file another claim and was told I had exceeded the number of claims of 2 replacements, one for $218 and another for $208. I have only received one replacement as the first one was returned defective as well as the defective devices was returned within Square trades 30 day guarantee period of replacement devices. I could not get anywhere with customer service so I was told I would receive a call back from the supervisor to explain to me how I have received 2 replacement devices. Instead of a call I received an email from an *** at extension 1971 that there was nothing that could be done for me. I tried calling the number *** gave me in the email, *** but they don't give you any option to enter an extension number. So then I have to wait for a customer service representative who refuses to transfer me to the extension and tells me I will get a call back from the supervisor within 2 hours. This has been 3 separate times I have attempted to reach the extension already and still no call back from *** or any supervisor. So to sum up my issue, I received a faulty replacement devices and sent that back within their 30 day guarantee period only to receive the wrong model replacement that I recently had a problem with and attempted to file another claim but was told I had received 2 replacement devices already and my contract with them was terminated.
We apologize for any difficulty experienced with this claim.Squaretrade has several policies in place to ensure our replacement devices are fully functional and to prevent unnecessary hassle or additional claims. We understand this was not the consumer's experience and we have taken steps to resolve this concern, as this is not the experience we want for our consumers. One of our specialists has reached out to the consumer and verified a resolution satisfactory to both parties. We again apologize for the consumer's experience and appreciate this being brought to our attention.
I $50 for a 4 year insurance plan on a printer which broke after less than two years.
We apologize for any dissatisfaction with this consumer's recent claim.Squaretrade provides repair, replacement or reimbursement as our resolutions for claims. These resolutions are determined per our discretion and which resolution is available depends on the item category and the issue it is experiencing. Information regarding this resolution is listed within the terms and conditions of this consumer's warranty contract.Squaretrade provided this customer a reimbursement resolution, fully compensating them for the price paid for the product. Being that we have a resolution for this product we would be unable to provide additional compensation.
I purchased the Extended Warranty with Square Trade on my printer and it is no longer working. I submitted the claim. I didn't get what I paid for the no longer working printer. I paid $119 and the Square Trade check amount was $103 but I did receive the check within a week.
I had an issue with a product I bought, this time I agreed to paying for Square Trade insurance and it turned out it was a great idea. My product quit working and was not repairable so they decided to send me a check less 3 months of use and I received it within a few days..
Great produck and idea!
