Processed my case quickly. Great experience. Very pleased with Sq. Trade
Customer service was nice and prompt at helping and replacing the product covered.
Thank you
I really appreciated that from the time I was connected to a representive I felt I was valued as a customer. I was given information that was helpful in resolving my problem.
I have excellent experience with Square Trade. They settled my claim in a fraction of a time without any delays in refund process.
I will suggest everyone to get their appliances insured from Square Trade.
DO NOT PURCHASE A WARRANTY THROUGH SQUARE TRADE, if you ever think you might engage it!!!!!
Square Trade is a SCAM!!! If there was a way to give negative stars to get this review posted that is what I would have done. If you ever expect to engage a warranty you purchase from Square Trade, you better know it will take no less than 5 attempts to contact them (via phone, emails and through their online claims process, or any combination of those methods) just to have them make your life more difficult and there is no guarantee you'll have resolution. I purchased a pair of 14K gold earrings through *** in December as a gift. I also purchased a 2-yr. Jewelry Protection Plan from Square Trade as I had not previously purchased fine jewelry from *** and I thought it was a good idea to protect my purchase. A week ago, one of the clasps broke off, and it is outside the usual return period through ***, so I contacted Square Trade to initiate a claim. This was a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME!!!!!
I followed the prompts in their online claims process (communication #1), which is not at all set up to take jewelry claims, rather electronics and devices. I eventually got to the point where it asked me to provide a serial number and if I didn't have one, there was an area to type your response of why you couldn't provide it. I indicated that it is a jewelry item and there was no serial number for it since it was not an electronics item, and I proceeded through the other prompts. ***, I arrived at the submit button and once pressed, I was directed to a response indicating the item was still under the 1-yr. manufacturer warranty with *** and only after they had denied my claim would Square Trade be able to act. I knew that seemed incorrect as *** is an electronics manufacturer not a jewelry manufacturer. I then called the number (communication #2) provided in my confirmation email to see if this was sent to me by mistake. I spoke with an agent named *** (likely NOT his birth given name) since the customer service department is outsourced offshore and understanding the agents is difficult at best.
*** said to respond to the email (communication #3) with an explanation and provide any receipts as attachments, which I promptly did along with a photo of the broken earrings. I then received a response 2 days later indicating I needed to call customer service once again, which I did (communication #4). This time I spoke with ***" who was not only more difficult to understand, but who completely misunderstood my issue despite looking up my claim number and having all the pertinent information provided to him. He put me on hold for 5+ minutes only to come back to the line and tell me that I had to go back to the *** seller to try to work it out with them. When I told him that it was outside ***'s return time frame which is why I was engaging the Square Trade protection plan I purchased, he told me that was the procedure and he couldn’t help me further. I asked to speak with a supervisor, which took another 5+ minutes on hold so I opted to hang up on minute 7. In total, my call with ***" was 23 minutes of wasted time.
As a last ditch effort to solve the broken earring clasp drama, I called *** and spoke with a highly understandable agent named *** (probably his birth given name) who apologized for all I had experienced thus far and was able to initiate a refund as a good faith gesture since I am a "valued" *** customer, that's what he told me bless his heart. One and done!!! Yay for *** and *** for resolving my issue in 12 total minutes!!!
While on the line with ***, I received 3 calls from Square Trade which I finally answered. On the line was the supervisor I had asked to speak with (communication #5). I told her that I had resolved my issue with ***, despite it not being their responsibility, and I was thoroughly livid for the wasted time Square Trade caused me and the complete disregard for my claim according to their "process". She indicated that I did not give her the opportunity to correct the issue to which I promptly reminded her of the 5 total communications I had had with their company each one being an "opportunity" to correct my issue.
What a JOKE this company is and all their "processes" which could be their effective *** I might add. If they get you so irritated by their ineffective online claims process or their incomprehensible customer service agents who tell you to jump through a bunch of hoops and supply lots of documentation, as well as waste your valuable time with no desired outcome, I guess you'll just throw your hands up like I did and absolve them from their responsibility regardless of the policy you paid for. Believe me, I understand that these protection plans are pennies on the dollar to purchase, but if there are millions of people buying them for $1.25 each, and Square Trade can side step ever having to pay out a claim, well I guess they just made $1,250,000 in revenue, sneaky buggers!!!
Service was fast for my claim. I ordered the new tv on Friday and was scheduled to del on Sunday. Very fast service.
I would give 5 stars but have not received my refunds yet, otherwise the refund process was painless and quick.
I've purchased several Square Trade warranties in the past many years and although I've not used most of them for claims, when I have had a claim, it was handled quickly and efficiently. I did have a claim just recently and I did notice that the process eventually ended up in my claim being paid but it seems that since *** purchased Square Trade, the effort to be reimbursed is a bit more difficult. Still, in the end I still feel that purchasing a Square Trade warranty is worth the cost.
I purchased a toy in December with a two year warranty. A problem began to occur in *** with the toy. I called the store where I purchased it from , they gave me information for Square Trade. Square Trade tells me they are not responsible and I should seek help from the manufacture.
We apologize for any difficulty experienced with this claim.Squaretrade utilizes the manufacturer warranty coverage for all eligible items, as this provides many benefits for consumers using our policies. However, if the manufacturer is unreachable or denies providing assistance we can step in offer our services. One of our specialists has reached out to the consumer and offered to assist with this claim. At this time we are awaiting additional documentation from the consumer, once provided we will follow up with a resolution.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. The resolution will not be complete in five to ten days. Then and only then it will be satisfactory to me. I will contact you then
Sincerely
Warranty replacement on a tv, sent me a defective tv for replacement and then picked up the defective tv two weeks ago and haven’t sent out the next replacement tv. No one is responding to emails telling me where my tv is, requested calls 4 times and every time I’ve called them they say I’ll get an email the next day with the tracking number and I haven’t received a thing.
We apologize for any difficulty experienced with this claim.Squaretrade utilizes professional shipment for the delivery of products and we have policies in place to address concerns with delivery. When the consumer notified us of the issue with their replacement item we worked to have this addressed. At this time we have ordered another replacement item and we are fully refunding the purchasing price of this warranty. We again apologize for any inconvenience and we greatly appreciate the consumer's patience.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me because of ***’s intervention. SquareTrade was going to take over 3 weeks to get a replacement tv out to me after picking up the defective tv sent to me. Their shipping times are ridiculous (7-10 days is what they claim). Instead of forcing you to pick from 2 TVs they should just give you a gift card for the purchase price of the replacement tv and let you go back to the retailer. *** has stepped in and that is what they are doing.
I requested a call from SquareTrade 5 times and no one ever called me The times I called them I had to wait 30-55 minutes every time. Every rep just blew smoke that they cared and would take care of it and email me personally and then they never responded. Terrible company and terrible customer service. I would never recommend anyone use their services and I would rather pay full price to buy a tv to replace a broken one than go through the over month long process I’ve gone through with their incompetence. I will never buy a SquareTrade warranty again.
Sincerely
I put in 2 claims only months apart.
Wonderful service!! No questions just pleasant people and VERY fast Service!
I would use this Service anytime!
It was NOT there falt that my phone got broken, but they bent over backwards to replace it.
And replace it they did! And in only 2 days,.I was up a d running again!
The person who addressed my issue was extremely helpful and did an excellent job of advocating for me in order to fix the problem. Maybe it was just luck that I was on the phone with the right person but this was my first experience with Square Trade and it was a good one.
First time for a claim and BAM, it was settled in days. And the replacement TV was delivered about 4 days after I first filed. Quick and easy so I am very impressed.
The lady that dealt with my claim definitely had no clue what she was doing and didn't know the correct information and kept arguing with me that the phone was not covered when it clearly was.
I had a claim on my 55” *** TV. We were completely satisfied with the processing of our Square Trade claim. The agent I spoke with was courteous as well as efficient. She walked me through some diagnostic steps and determined my claim was valid and approved. This was on Friday. I was then instructed to choose my new TV from a selection of three TVs, all of which were upgrades to the one I originally purchased. My new TV was delivered just 3 days later on Monday!
Purchased a TV at *** with a square trade warranty. Square trade claims to have no record of it. I provided the receipt from *** at square trade's request as proof of purchase. They deny the receipt as proof. I have nothing else to give them but the receipt.
We apologize for any difficulty with the registration of this warranty. Most Squaretrade warranties arrive into our system automatically but in certain instances we may require additional informality or documentation to register the policy. In this case there was an initial discrepancy regarding the receipt for this product but this has since been resolved. We have forwarded the consumer's warranty details to the email on file and request they contact us at their earliest convenience to file a claim.
Like the lawsuit against square trade accuses them of, they implied much more coverage than they actually provide. With almost no explanation, my claim was denied. Classic insurance company garbage.
I had filed a claim to replace an iPhone 6s that was dropped and seriously damaged. Square Trade did not have a replacement but worked with Consumer Cellular who provided the replacement. The individuals I talked to at Square Trade were very helpful throughout this process. I have had several claims with Square Trade and the service has always been excellent. In addition, I received a replacement iPhone 6s within twenty four hours!!
We purchased a television through sams club with the warranty purchased from square trade. The tv is going out 4 years later. The company can’t/ won’t find the account and sams acts like it never existed. The warranty is only good for 5 years so I get the intent is to make it string along for the rest of the warranty so they don’t have to cover it. Beware and keep an attorney on standby if you intend to do business with these people.
We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the warranty for this TV.Squaretrade warranties typically arrive into our system automatically but in certain cases we may need more information or documentation to locate the warranty. In this case our specialist initially experienced some difficulty with locating this warranty, therefore we requested more information or the item purchase receipt from the consumer. This would be necessary in order for us to proceed and we apologize for any inconvenience.
Well at first my claim was denied but after further investigation and several calls Square Trade honored their insurance. They referred me to a good repairer and I was reimbursed immediately.
