Square Trade delivered as promised so glad I had purchased this insurance. The company worked with me and issue to my complete satisfaction
Great insurance company for expensive items! I’m always going to purchase a warranty on my items because SquareTrade trade provides amazing service! Thank you!
Well at first my claim was denied but after further investigation and several calls Square Trade honored their insurance. They referred me to a good repairer and I was reimbursed immediately.
Customer service was great, very helpful, ran through test on tv, he realized it wasn't working. Got a refund in the mail. He was very considerate.
Fast, easy and no hassle. Way better than I thought a warranty thru a box store would be!
Highly recommend!
This company is horrible. Sent me an e-card to replace a broken chair. When I went to redeem the card, someone had hacked it and used it already. This company did nothing to replace the card and told me "There is nothing we can do." They don't care if their company gets hacked and their e-cards are stolen. I will never ever buy another warranty replacement from this company again.
This is one of the WORST EXPERIENCES I have ever had with a warranty company. I purchased a 3 year warranty on my laptop including accidental damage from dropping, etc. I did drop the computer and the case cracked. I wanted to get it fixed locally but they would't cover that. So I put it in their shipping box and sent it to them. When it came back, my Operating System had been COMPLETELY reinstalled, therefore wiping the hard drive clean. Thankfully I had an online backup, however, their info says they will do everything they can to preserve your data. When an OS is installed it removes everything, programs, apps, settings, not just data that would be backed up. I called them and asked why in the world they would have to reinstall the OS for an external case repair and they said they ALWAYS do it to make sure the computer works properly!! Since it was a external issue all they would have had to do would be to turn on the computer to see it was working fine. Then, when I examined the computer they had done nothing but essentially snap the case back together. I know because the part of the case that covers the hinge had broken off, and it was still missing when I got it back. The hinge cover is part of the case, not separate, so obviously the did not replace the case even though the paperwork they included said the case had be REPLACED. I am preparing to contact our state Consumer Fraud Commission, and any other legal recourse I may have. It's not about the cost of the warranty. It's about the amount of time it is taking me to get my computer running again, and mainly their lies, misrepresentations, and fraud. Do NOT use this company.
On 5/14/19 I called in and spoke with an *** about claim *** I was told he was a manger. He refused to provide me with a corporate number when asked, stated he was told in his training that he can no provide me this info. I was then laugh at when I was unhappy with the service he was given me. I asked to speak to his boss or another manager and I was told they are to busy to talk to me and my issues was no important.
We apologize for any difficulty experienced with our support center.Squaretrade extensively trains our support specialists to offer knowledgeable and courteous service. We understand this consumer experienced difficulty speaking with our support center and we will review their claims history to see where we can improve. Regarding the item we would be unable to service this product. This consumer's warranty includes Standard Protection and covers the item against hardware or electrical failures due to normal use. When this item was received there were signs of physical damage to the product, this is not covered beneath the warranty and why we are unable to service the device.
We apologize for any miscommunication regarding this claim.Squaretrade specialists do our best to set reliable expectations for the claim experience. However, when products are received to our service center these items are extensively diagnosed to verify the item failure and ensure the failure is covered via the relevant warranty. In this case the claim was approved due to the description of the failure. Once received the item was audited and it was determined this product issue was not covered beneath the policy. Due to this the product was returned unrepaired. We understand the consumer's frustration regarding how the claim status is listed on the online portal but this is not a guarantee that the item was repaired. If the consumer ever encounters information via the online portal which they feel is inaccurate they can reach our 24/7 support center for additional assistance. Being that Squaretrade has already audited this item and determined the issue is not covered we would not be able to provide a repair for this product.
how can something be listed as repaired tho is its not repaired?

I sent in my Sony a7riii for repair after an accidental drop. It was my understanding based on what I read when purchasing the coverage and over the phone with customer service that the repair would take 2-5 days. I was also promised several times over a course of phone calls that experts would make sure the device was in perfect working order upon receiving it. It took over a month to receive the camera after being told it would be on the way several times only to be pushed back again and again. When I finally received the item I found that the control wheel was malfunctioning until it stopped working all together. The camera would reset when the battery was taken out. The EVF that was replaced is spotty like the finder was misted by water. They also said it'd come with paperwork explaining what repairs were done which it did not. I called in and express my frustrations and the fact I could not be without my camera at the time due to paid gigs and all they could offer was overnight shipping. After dropping the ball so many times I don't have the confidence that they are capable of repairing my item especially in a timely fashion.
We apologize for any dissatisfaction with our provided resolution.Squaretrade utilizes certified technicians to complete our repairs, of whom extensively tests all recently serviced products before return to the consumer. If the product returns from repair experiencing any hardware failures Squaretrade can take steps to have the item reinspected expeditiously, as was provided in this instance. We understand the consumer would prefer an alternative resolution but at this time repair is the only option available. Squaretrade provides repair, replacement or reimbursement resolutions dependent on numerous factors. We do our best to provide the most appropriate resolution for consumer satisfaction but we cannot accommodate all requests. Being that we have offered a repair for this product we are meeting our obligation beneath this policy. If our technicians determine the item is irreparable we will migrate the claim to a different resolution and we again apologize for any inconvenience.
Purchased a Square Trade warranty from *** for *** in December of 2015. The warranty went until the end of 2020. Used the TV as a monitor and it was on a stand behind my desk. Last week it started to blink and a white circle appeared in the lower left hand corner. After spending some time on the phone multiple times, they received some pictures from me. Then they sent an email saying the claim was denied because it was physical damage. When I explained how the unit was used and they could see that the TV was not damaged, they then said it was a "mechanical defect." I asked what they meant and they said that it was a mechanical defect and not covered. When I asked how they know this and asked for him to send some "evidence" that this is what the white circle means he said he would and then said couldn't find anything. Apparently this is the way that they avoid paying on claims because any electronic device that fails they will say that it was a "mechanical defect."
We apologize we were unable to approve this claim. Squaretrade TV warranties offer coverage against hardware and electrical failures due to normal use. Though we do our best to help every consumer Squaretrade can only approve claims which correspond with the relevant warranty's coverage. When images were received of this item several Squaretrade specialists inspected the images and determined there was physical damage to the product. Squaretrade extensively trains our specialists to recognize this type of damage and this is why we were unable to approve the claim.
Purchased Warranties on items and everytime they are saying that the problem is not covered under their warranty. and deny claims.
In this matter they are saying that they never received receipts for items and are constantly giving me a runaround. these are 2 and 3 year warranties.
We apologize for any difficulty with the processing of this claim.Squaretrade requires a proof of purchase for most warranties in our system, whether it is provided by the consumer or the purchasing location. In order for us to process the consumer's most recent claim we would need this documentation to proceed. If a typical receipt is not available we can also accept the consumer's *** invoice.
I called square trade sometime in march to purchase a protection plan for my *** Watch. They told me that if it got damaged it wouldn't be repaired, just replaced. Then it got damaged and they told me it would be replaced with Third Party Parts, then they told me that the receipt was invalid (when it was already verified) I kept sending new ones and they keep declining it. I finally went to the *** store and got a duplicate copy, and scanned it like they said and now they say "Hello ***
The receipt submitted is illegible. Kindly attach a clear copy of the receipt to this email.
Thanks,
***
SquareTrade Claims Review. "
They just keep on rejecting me and making this impossible.
We apologize for any difficulty with the processing of this claim.Squaretrade does our best to offer multiple resolutions when able, though which resolutions are available depend on the item category and the issue it is experiencing. We also do our best to make this process expeditious but in certain instances we may need documentation to proceed. In this case Squaretrade requested a copy of the item receipt in order to complete the warranty registration. Once this receipt was provided our specialists notified the consumer of concerns with the document. Due to this we have cancelled and provided a refund of the warranty purchasing price.
We apologize if the consumer disagrees with this determination.Squaretrade has informed the consumer of their most recent claim update on 5/13/19. At this point we have cancelled and refunded the warranty, therefore we cannot provide any additional assistance.
Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: for starters I was given the option to cancel and I did. It wasn’t forced but I was going to anyways because I would never work with this type of horrendous company.
Sincerely
I purchased a Television and warranty a little more then 4 years ago. Television broke warranty was for 5 years I sent all my information to them the refuse to fix/repair or replace. I emailed them receipt and warranty card.
We apologize for any difficulty filing a claim for this product.Squaretrade warranties from this reseller include an additional year of coverage if the consumer is a premium member of that store. When this is the case the information typically populates our system automatically, but Squaretrade has not been provided this information. In order for Squaretrade to process this claim we would require documentation from the purchasing location which verifies the start date of the consumer's premium membership. Our specialists informed the consumer of this requirement on 5/13/19, once we are provided this documentation we will be able to proceed in the claim filing process.
We apologize for any inconvenience experienced with this warranty.Typically Squaretrade requires exact documentation in order to address a concern of this nature, specifically documentation verifying the Premium membership start date from the purchasing location. In this instance Squaretrade used the verbal verification provided by the store employee to verify this result and we have re-approved the consumer's warranty. At this point we are attempting to reach the consumer to offer a claim and we again apologize for any delay.

I am rejecting this response because:This beyond unacceptable. Your company flat out said no even after I emailed reciept and gave me a run around for 4 weeks. Sam's verified my membership within 10 seconds of running my reciept which would make it seem you made no attempt in verifying the reciept within the 4 weeks you all had it. Now after I did the leg work and filed a complaint with the *** Squaretrade wants the play it off like nothing. I have the recorded conversation with the supervisor and Sam's manager. He repeated the same question didn't believe her and lead us to believe it wasn't acceptable for me to have called with Sam's club. I would blame customer service except even you phone call I Just loops callers into a loop and says to press 1 when we have the information. Then when you press 1 it repeats the same message during business hours. When you look at everything together it looks very deceptive. Here buy this warranty so you can make a claim. We'll decline it repeatedly even after the company who sold warranty verifies it. Oh Revdex.com gets involved we better decline it then after verifies warranty again settle it. Unacceptable
Sincerely
Excellent experience. Easy to work with customer service. There was a problem with replacing my phone due to the model having been discontinued and the rep quickly took care of the issue and processed the replacement for the newer model phone. I was very pleased with the ease of processing a claim and getting my phone replaced.
Everything went great eventually. Thank you for being so nice.
Agent was very attentive and clearly was customer service orientated, took care to ensure my problem was resolved
Fast and accurate claim system. Very courteous and efficient customer service.
Thank you
I purchased a warranty for a refurbished *** controller. When the right joystick stopped working I emailed the necessary supporting documentation and mailed the controller in for repair. They emailed me back saying nothing was wrong with the controller and sent it back to me. I plugged it in and sure enough the right joystick was still broken. I then got approval to send the controller back into SquareTrade. I included a hand written note so they would actually see that the right joystick was not working properly.
A few days go by and they tell me my controller is not eligible for repair because of "physical damage." I spoke to SquareTrade and asked them to show me in the contract where "physical damage" was an exclusion. They could not and still refused to repair my controller. The contract states:
"This Protection Plan will cover a mechanical or electrical failure of the Covered Product(s) in subsections A, B, C and D below during normal usage for the Term of this Protection Plan."
This is EXACTLY what happened to my controller, the right joystick stopped working due to a mechanical failure while playing a game. The representative could not tell me what the difference was between physical damage and mechanical failure. Ultimately, they gave me a refund of the $12.99 I paid for the warranty.
Do yourself a favor, NEVER buy a warranty from SquareTrade. They will give you the runaround and waste your time trying to get them to live up to their end of the bargain. If I can save one person from making the same mistake, I did my job.
SquareTrade offers the best warranty for all electronic products. I switched from *** and *** Squad to SquareTrade a few years ago and will never use any other warranty service again. The warranties cover more and cost less and deductibles for repairs is much cheaper! Love SquareTrade.
I have spent two dozen hours trying to get payment from square for an item I purchased a warranty for - a $139 broken printer. The last two letters I received are in the photos above. Below is a SUMMARY of communications between me and SQUARE TRADE attempting to reimbursed. They will not pay. They will spend enormous time in manpower to work to deny your claim. They do not honor their written promises. Each customer service *** representative has the power to change the deal. Square is a subsidiary of ***. If this is how *** allows their subsidiary SQUARE TRADE to treat customers over an inexpensive item, I cannot imagine how they treat customers if they have an auto accident, or need to make a homeowners claim.
