Replacement TV shipped came from a *** Club almost 700 miles away. Once opened, the TV was damaged, had to be returned and now another TV is shipping in from same area.
Not worth the hassle. Will not do again.

I purchased a warranty for my wireless keyboard and mouse and they REFUSE to replace the broken keyboard! They say I have to call the manufacturer! I purchased the warranty so I would not have to deal with the manufacturer.

Squaretrade warranties cover the item up to the original purchasing price or warranty value, issues serviced by the manufacturer have no negative effect on this coverage limit and helps ensure the full usage of the plan. If the manufacturer has denied servicing the item or is unreachable we would request the consumer contacts us so we can step in to assist.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID.

The only reason that I am even accepting this answer is a claim specialist called and apologized for his team member's lack of training and action to resolve my issue.

In the mean time I purchased a new keyboard mouse combo from Costco who will gladly take back if it should not work as my previous keyboard.

They are the most difficult, unhelpful people to deal with. Their answer is always 24-48 hours and nothing ever gets resolved.

I purchased a 75" Vizio TV and the a SquareTrade protection plan. My tv developed lines out of the blue when we turned it on one day so I called squaretrade. I was told they couldn't locate my warranty. Several days later they were finally able to find it and I was able to initiate a claim. Based on the size of TV I should have in home service. but not so with SquareTrade I had to trouble shoot it with myself with a representative. Last step was send in picture and within 12 hours the fastest they have responded to anything I've sent to them they deny my claim saying the TV has physical damage. Tv is mounted over the fireplace no one touches it it just a bunch of BS so that they don't have to honor the protection plan. The representative won't transfer you to anyone who can assist you just keep trying to convince you that they can't help you it's not covered. Wish I had read up on SquareTrade before purchasing a protection plan. They seem to be in the business of telling you that your TV has physical damage and not honoring the protection plan.

We apologize we were unable to approve this claim.Squaretrade does our best to be expeditious with the claims process but in certain circumstances we require additional documentation or information in order to proceed. In this case Squaretrade required the item receipt in order to register the policy, following this we required some preliminary troubleshooting to verify the item issue. Once this consumer provided images of the item there were clear indications of physical damage to the display. Unfortunately none of our TV warranties cover this type of damage, this is why the consumer's claim was denied and a warranty refund was offered.

I am rejecting this response because:the was no physical damage to the tv but rather a noted defect with the vizio tv that causes this the lines to occur. Also, the troubleshooting things that the squaretrade rep asked to be performed grossly aggrevated the problem. Currently the tv no longer turns on since I initiated this complaint.

We apologize for any inconvenience experienced with this claim.Squaretrade extensively trains our specialists to inspect and recognize physical damage to electronic devices. This item showed signs of a physical impact point to a portion of the TV, of which is likely the cause of the item failure. We understand the consumer disagrees with this diagnostic but this result has been verified by several Squaretrade specialists and due to this we are unable to proceed with a claim.Squaretrade over-the-phone troubleshooting should have no negative effect on the item, as this process is only in place to verify if a software failure is at fault. Unfortunately we would not be able to approve this claim and we again apologize for any dissatisfaction.

I purchased an extended warranty for my Fitbit from this company. When I called to file a legitimate claim they should have covered(malfunction of the device), they instead offered to refund me the $9.54 I paid originally for the plan instead of covering my $150.00 device. I spoke to a manager who also refused to honor the terms of the protection plan. Fitbit customer service and Amazon both told me that SquareTrade should have replaced or paid me for the device per the terms of the plan I bought. I would like SquareTrade to pay me for my device so I can buy a replacement ASAP. I also think they should be investigated for fraud because many other customers on Amazon and Squaretrade’s Facebook page have experienced similar issues and it seems like a scam that Squaretrade is getting away with.

We apologize for any difficulty with the processing of this claim.This consumer's claim was initially denied due to damage on the device exceeding the coverage included with this warranty. This warranty is a Standard plan, covering hardware and electrical failures due to normal use but not physical damage. When the consumer notified us of the damage to this product Squaretrade offered to cancel the warranty for a refund, as we cannot approve this claim.Squaretrade has since determined to provide an exception and has emailed the consumer additional details regarding a resolution to their email address on file. We hope this is a satisfactory resolution and appreciate the consumer's patience while this was considered.

I was purchasing a Pioneerer radio on Amazon when a Squaretrade ad popped up stating "protect yourself from unforseen accidents" so I added it to my cart and completed my purchase. Now I have a problem with my radio and went online to file a claim. CSRep *** denied my claim stating my policy did NOT cover accidents. I was sold by Squaretrade ad on Amazon as I stated above that my radio WOULD be covered for accidents. I would like my radio repaired. Thank you.
Also, if you look at the reviews on Amazon there are many complaints exactly as mine.

We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the coverage included with this warranty.Squaretrade sells Standard Protection and Accidental Protection plans, each with varying degrees of coverage. Standard plans protect against hardware and electrical failures due to normal use, whereas Accidental Protection plans cover against drops and spills as well. Typically multiple Squaretrade warranties can be offered at the point of sale and it is the determination of the consumer as to which coverage is desired, though this also depends on the item category and purchasing location. In this case Squaretrade was unable to approve this consumer's claim due to damage on the product exceeding their warranty coverage type. We understand the consumer felt this plan should have included Accidental Protection, therefore one of our specialists has reached out to the consumer requesting documentation of the warranty purchase receipt. Once this documentation is provided Squaretrade will follow up with the consumer with more information.

Was hard to get to someone to talk but after that it was a 5 Star experience. Everyone was very helpful and professional. Will never buy any appliance or tv and not get this warranty. They replaced my "going bad" tv within 5 days. Excellent experience!!!

This insurance service is a complete waste of money. They charged me monthly for insurance then when I filed a claim they charged me a large deductible and provided me with an “authorized” repair provider from a neighboring town. When I called the number provided to set up an appointment the number they provided, was an invalid out of state number and I was unable to set up an appointment for my cell phone repair. I was unable to get a repair through this service. I have to have someone else repair my phone at my expense.

This consumer was approved for a local repair, wherein they could have their device serviced via a local store. If the consumer experienced difficulty reaching this store they could proceed directly to the store for service or they could contact Squaretrade for assistance.When the consumer notified our specialists of their concerns our specialists offered to investigate alternative resolutions. This offer was denied and as per the consumer's request the claim deductible was refunded and the warranty cancelled.Since the consumer denied an alternative resolution and cancelled their warranty we would be unable to provide any alternatives.

I am rejecting this response because: This company has no desire to help the just take your money and do not provide a fast and reliable way to repair your product. I was email to contact the repair service provider before I go to get the repair which I did but the number provided by them was inoperable and long distance. They have no desire or interest in being helpful. Trying to talk to someone was hard. I got disconnected several times it was a horrible process. I lost all faith in the ability to repair my phone based on all the issues listed above so I had my phone repaired by the manufacturer. The manufacture was almost the cost of the repair. I feel taken advantage of. Paid for the service for over a year and when it was time to use it the were terrible.

I will always purchase a square trade protection plan! I dropped my new *** smartphone and despite having a case and screen protection it cracked. I submitted my claim and was approved with my choice of how I prefer to fix my screen. I chose to pay out of pocket and get remburised via check. The process of submitting my claim as well as submitting my repair receipt was fast and effortless. I was approved for both within 30 mins as they allow a business day. I am more than pleased with square trade and their service.

The technician was very thorough, courteous and knowledgeable. He made the process painless and easy.

The phone representative was very helpful, but the process needs to be streamlined, to cumbersome. They came to my house to repair the TV, but because the technician did not see the issue, he was instructed to take the parts and not repair the TV. Of course the next day the TV was displaying the same issue. Had to call and start the process all over again. Ultimately they decided not to repair the TV and I ended up with a new TV, but had to choose from a list they sent to me.

Square Trade's Customer Service is a joke. The absolute worst customer service I've experienced on the internet in over 25 years.
I would like to file a claim, but in an effort to change my password (I forgot it) their customer service plays games with you and will NOT send the link to change your password.
I've dealt with several people at Square Trade, they all say they are sending the link, but they never do. They must be trained to lie to customers and SAY they are sending the link, but they never do.
They ALWAYS ask for another email, they are information gatherers not customer service, they make money with your information, emails are like easy money to them.
Even if you give them another email, they NEVER send the link. I'm wondering if it actually exists.
Don't try calling them on the phone, they'll lie to you over and over. They say "I'm sending you a link", but when it NEVER arrives, they always blame it on spam or junk. "It must be in your junk folder". Must suck to work there.
Most companies follow up with an email asking how they did, Square Trade never follows up, they don't want to hear how bad they are doing.
1/2 Star, they are pathetic when it comes to customer service.
