Quick to respond and return payment for a damaged item. Did not get our full purchase price but it was very close.

We are very happy about our experience with Square Trade. We will continue to use their services.

The phone experience was handled efficiently. The phone representatives were very easy to understand and they were helpful. They determined that the TV couldn't be fixed by doing some trouble shooting over the phone. Then, they sent us out some options of a replacement TV's. After ordering, the TV was delivered within 2 days.

I ended up not needing the service at that moment since my product was still under manufacturer warranty.

It was a smooth process from start to finish. Received our check promptly. We bought another printer and added the warranty to it.

Outstanding communication, fast service and a fixed product that works again!

I purchased a protection plan for a Outdoor Patio Heater that included "accidents". It was clearly stated in the Item description on the retailers website. When I needed to use the plan I was told that I bought a "standard" plan that did NOT include accidents. Even though the items very first line of the description indicated it did, and there was no option to purchase an "upgraded" plan. When I tried to file a claim online I got multiple reasons why it was not covered including I bought a standard plan. No other plan was offered and the plan I purchased indicated "accidents" were covered. It was even linked to the item I purchased in the checkout phase of the purchase process.

All I want is for the protection plan to replace my heat deflector as it was damaged in an "accident" as it was described in the product description.
Below is the description of the item I purchased to protect my product. In addition, this protection plan was recommended by *** retailer and I bought it through a retailer pop up that linked my item to this protection plan. After reading through the description and noting that it INCLUDED "accidents" I continued to purchase. The problem I found based on conversation with CS is that SquareTrade protection had incorrect description of coverage on the retailers website in which they provide, but yet they do not want to cover for their errors.

We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding this warranty. Squaretrade offers both Standard and Accidental protection plans, which plan is available depends on your item category and where the policy was purchased. This item sustained physical damage but is covered by a standard warranty which only covers failures due to normal usage. This is why we were unable to approve the claim. We understand the consumer feels they purchased a different plan than what populated into our system, therefore a Squaretrade specialist has emailed the consumer requesting we are provided their purchase receipt. If the consumer can provide us a purchase receipt which shows they intended to purchase an Accidental Damage plan we will reach out to the consumer to offer additional assistance.

I am rejecting this response because:

1) the item purchased directly indicates that accidental damage was included with the plan under the description. Very first line as you will see in the attachment.

2) there was no option to purchase different plans under the purchase page.

3) this plan was recommended by the retailer and indicated "accidents" were covered as described under the "item description".

4) the retailer recommended this item in the checkout process and matched my purchase as it was a pop up and indicated "accidents" were covered.

5) only the single plan option was offered, in which it DID indicated "accidents" were covered.

6) if the retailer and service provider have misalignment of their services it should not be at the expense of the consumer.

We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding this warranty purchase.Squaretrade offers a variety of warranties which include differences in coverage, including Standard and Accidental Protection. When this consumer's concern was previously brought to our attention a Squaretrade specialist directly emailed the consumer requesting a copy of their item receipt verifying they purchased an Accidental Protection plan. The images attached to the consumer's most recent reply detail a separate plan, as the plan the consumer is referring to in their screenshot includes 4 years of coverage. The plan the consumer purchased for this product includes 5 years of coverage and as of now our specialist has still not been been provided a purchase receipt verifying this plan includes Accidental Protection. Due to this we are unable to approve this claim and again apologize for any inconvenience.

I am rejecting this response because:

The images that were attached on the previous rejection are a DIRECT link from my online receipt. Square Trade is claiming that I have attached a different plan than what I purchased which in INCORRECT. As you will see in the images I attached in THIS rejection of the response, is that the image I supplied previously and now have the same source code(webpage) as my online order/receipt from ***. I have provided both my order page and the product page I attached in my previous response. Upon inspection of the website address you will notice that the source code for the link from my receipt MATCHES directly to my online purchase of the plan in which Square is claiming I did not purchase.

There is no doubt by inspection of the source code(website) linked to my receipt that that the image I supplied previously and today are ONE AND THE SAME. Thus, proving that the description on all the documentation I have provided shows that accidents are covered under the description sold the consumer which is stated on the VERY FIRST LINE of the product purchased.

We apologize for any difficulty with the processing of this claim.Squaretrade specialists requested documentation to verify the consumer's concerns regarding the description of this policy. Once provided Squaretrade provided the consumer a reimbursement resolution for their item price, we greatly appreciate the consumer's patience while this was investigated and resolved.

I had to call several times to follow their directions (one helpful solution at a time).
All of the representatives were very helpful and repeated directions kindly so I could be sure to follow them.
When after all possibilities that I could perform were followed they immediately set up a claim for me to return the tablet without delay.
The "repair" of the tablet, once they received it, was almost immediate and I received the tablet back in a timely manner.

Excellent service! Provided a great refund for the item. I would definitely purchase again.

The worst company to work with I purchased this plan on an *** that quit working. The cost was $90. they have been giving me the run around for two weeks +.
After many calls and time spent I still haven't resolved the issue as to if they will fix it or refund me the money to purchase a new laptop

I filed a claim with Squaretrade for my *** The claim was approved and I was instructed BY SQUARETRADE to take the phone to the *** AND PAY OUT OF MY OWN POCKET $601.16 for the repair of the phone. Squaretrade agreed to reimburse me $452.16 for the claim (601.16 minus the $149 deductible). I deposited the check to my bank account and the check BOUNCED! I called *** and they told me there was INSUFFICIENT FUNDS! *** also hit me with a $12 charge for the bounced check, and now this is hurting my credit.

We apologize for any difficulty with this claim. Squaretrade does our best to honor every claim expeditiously but in certain cases additional verification is required. This claim is currently under review and the consumer will be notified of any changes to their claim status.

Square Trade was easy to work with and got me a replacement TV after sending pictures of my screen to them. They were polite and very helpful.

Excellent customer service!...easy steps to take care of my situation and left me satisfied with my claim.

Insurance that truly delivers.. My equipment wasn’t working, I made a claim and within 3 days I received a gift card.. GOTTA LOVE IT!!

When making copies, my printer made a lines on paper when fed through the printer. However, it does not do it when l lay paper on the glass. I was given a refund check to buy a new printer. Thank goodness I had the warranty.

I purchased a 3 year warranty from SquareTrade when I purchased my FitBit Surge Watch. When recharging my watch the face of the watch overheated and burnt. I filed a claim and sent my watch to the SquareTrade technical support facility. They denied my claim stating that the watch appeared to have been damaged outside of normal use. They sent pictures of the watch to me and asked me to respond stating whether the pictures reflected the condition of the watch when I sent it. I did confirm that the watch appeared to be the same as when sent. SquareTrade returned the watch with a letter that said that their technicians were unable to repair the item because the issue with the item was caused by accidental damage - which is not covered by the SquareTrade plan that I purchased. I called the number provided in the letter to speak with them about the claim. I explained that the damage was not accidental and it was done through normal charging of the watch. They then referred to other items that they saw on the watch - specifically a small tear in the watchband and a scratch on the watch face. Both of these items are also a result of normal wear and tear and covered in the warranty. Further, neither of these issues were part of the warranty claim as the watch continued to function despite the small tear in the band and the scratch on the watch face. Their call center would not acknowledge my complaint and directed me to their website for a number but I was unable to get a number other than the call center number. I believe that my claim was well within my warranty rights and the intent of SquareTrade was not to honor this claim because (a) the watch could not be repaired and (b) The watch model has been discontinued by FitBit.

We apologize we were unable to service this consumer's product.Squaretrade does our best to help all consumers but we can only service item issues which correspond with the coverage of their warranty. When this device was received at our repair center Squaretrade technicians noticed several signs of physical damage to this product, including an impact point beneath the device screen.We understand the consumer disagrees with this diagnoses but Squaretrade utilizes certified technicians for repair, of whom are extensively trained to recognize varying degrees of damage. This consumer's warranty is a standard plan and does not cover against any physical or accidental damage, only hardware or electrical failures due to normal use.Due to this we have returned the device unrepaired and processed a full refund of the warranty purchasing price. This refund will arrive to the consumer within 7 business days and we again apologize for any misunderstanding.

I am rejecting this response because: SquareTrade is taking advantage of the consumers. They have made a unilateral decision based on an erroneous conclusion from a technician regarding the cause of the failure to the warranty item. Their warranty process should document clearly that they will make unilateral decisions regarding the source of a failure (which on the consumer knows). I would encourage the Revdex.com to take a deeper look into the practices of this service company.

Customer service was efficient, effective and friendly. Service was complete and as promised in the warranty. Would use again and highly recommend. Thank you.

The tech was very knowledge and personable. He was very helpful in explaining the problem and was able to take control of my laptop to determine that my hard drive was bad and needed to be replaced. This was done quickly after I shipped my laptop back to Square Trade. When I received it back I needed to replace all my software and files. A call to Square Trade and the Tech that I was previously working with was able to help me with some problems that I could not fix.

I really liked this the people that help was was really helpful and I enjoyed that. Thanks for everything you guys have did for me

Worked out fine, Only little glitch was that the chat line person was not accurate about our warranty. Had to call Consumer Cellular who sold me the warranty plan.
