Passenger was contacted under case [redacted] and resolution was offered.
Complaint: [redacted]
I am...
rejecting this response because:As we stated in the original response, we do not feel what AA offered us is acceptable. There has been no resolution. We were offered $200 ($100 per person) compensation in the form of flight vouchers for what was worth much more than that. We lost a night in a $400/night resort with the delay on the trip out there, which we can not get back. As well as the day of work we missed on the return trip. In addition to all of that, we were given food vouchers for the hotels we were forced to stay in that did not cover the cost of eating there. We had to spend our own money to eat. Money we would not have had to spend had we not been delayed.I believe what we are asking for is not unreasonable. If a company causes us to miss a $400 hotel night due to their mistakes, they should reimburse us for what we lost. Not offer us something 4 times less than that. And additional reparations for a second lost day on the return trip plus the extra money we needed to spend at these hotels due to their delays. Not to mention the hours of stress we were under during those days. These $100 vouchers are not reimbursement, they are an invitation to spend more money on their airline. So no, we don't accept this response from them.

Complaint[redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I just received an additional response directly from AA telling me that they cannot offer a refund because “the ticket has expired”. I’m not sure what this even means, as I’ve been trying to get this refund for over a year and a half now. And for all this time spent, AA still has not offered to give me my money back for a purchase I made for a service they ultimately were unable to provide. I don’t understand how you can takes someone’s money in exchange for a service and then not deliver on the service, but still keep the consumer’s money.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I had already received this email from [redacted] on October 9, 2017, but never heard nor received a refund from American Airlines...
after. When I followed up as outlined in my complaint attached, they told me that the refund request had not been resubmitted and the case was closed. American Airlines needs to take responsibility and abide by their promise to customers. The below from my initial complaint filed with the Revdex.com reflects communication with American Airlines after receiving their Oct 9 e-mail attached here, for which I remained unsatisfied and this is why I filed the complaint with the Revdex.com. They have not resubmitted my request for refunds.
· " On October 9, I called American
Airlines once more and spoke with a supervisor from the North Carolina office,
[redacted] She called the refund center and they informed her that they had
refunded the Miami to Detroit flight and a provided a difference in seat cost
for $95, but they had not refunded Detroit to [redacted] because the cap was for
direct flights out of Miami. They realized it was a mistake because my mother
never got on the flight to Detroit since American Airlines had cancelled that
flight on September 7 and therefore I could not be responsible for the portion
of the flight from Detroit to [redacted]. American had re-booked my mother on a
flight to Washington.
·
On October 9, Ms. [redacted] informed
me that she would send an e-mail on my behalf to Customer relations requesting
a review and reimbursement of the remaining amount owed to me, which at this
point is $655.80 - $180.92 - $95 = $281.
·
On October 9, I received an e-mail
from Customer Relations signed by [redacted] with case AA Ref#[redacted]
informing me that they would resubmit my request for refund for review and that
someone would get back to me soon. No one contacted me since.
·
On October 19, I called American
Airlines to inquire on the status and spoke with [redacted], a supervisor at the Phoenix
office. He called the refund center and they informed him that they had not
received any request to further review my case and that from their perspective
they have completed the reimbursement process and the case is closed.
I am requesting that American Airlines reimburse me the
$281, amount still owed to me on the $655.80 ticket for which they have only
reimbursed $275.92."

I am...
rejecting this response because:I submitted this complaint 2 years ago and I don't even remember what it was about. I bet that's exactly what you were aiming to do by waiting 2 years to respond. I'm sure I will begrudgingly fly AA again at some point because I only have 3 goddamn choices.
