We ordered ATT U-Verse internet and elected to use our own modem/router after the sales associate confirmed we could do soThe sales associate was not sure how the billing would be handled, so he called someone else from ATT who assured him (and us) that there would be no equipment feeThe sales associate said he was not sure our own modem would be compatible, so we would have to try it when the installation person hooked it upThe installation person hooked it up and it worked just fineFor the next approximately months, we received bills with an equipment fee (approximately $5-$8), which was against the ATT sales person's wordWe contacted ATT numerous (about 8-12) times to get refundedAt times (approximately 2-times), we contacted ATT for a refund and were refunded only the previous month's equipment fee and assured we would not be billed for equipment againHowever, each subsequent bill included the equipment feeFew of the sales associates understood the problem (most had a strong foreign accent)After talking to an ATT manager, he told us he would not issue a refund until we gave him the model and serial numbers of our modem/router because his system told him we had ATT-owned equipmentHowever, we do notUnfortunately, we got rid of our modem/router because we moved to a new address and got a new service providerThe ATT manager's tone was unbelievably arrogant for a customer service departmentIn fact, the ATT manager told me it is common for people to request fraudulent refunds, so he did not trust the customerI asked the ATT manager if it was possible for his system to be wrong, and he told us noThe fact he did not even recognize this as a possible error, let alone an error, is concerningHe said my story did not line up with his system, which is trueWe even got a letter from ATT telling us to return their equipment, which we never hadAfter holding for one hour during one of the many phone calls, I finally got to a manager, but then the manager immediately hung up the phoneThere are more issues experienced, but I will not venture furtherThis refund would only have been on the order of less than $100, but we spent about hours on the phone to get only a small portion of the required refund back to usATT still owes us a refund

The worst customer service on the planet! Long story short, I called to get the total of my bill, ( I had been ill and lost track)I asked if I could pay that the following business day IN FULL and the rep told me yes, that would be fine, and that she would not my account Apparently she did notI was working online at a.mthe next morning (the day I was to make my payment) when my internet went down with a message to contact them immediately I did and told them who I had talked with yesterday and what she'd told me and they said they had no arrangements or notes on my account I paid them a whopping $IN FULL as promised, and have waited hours now for serviceI finally called and the the man said "we show a $bal but for some reason it is still showing suspended" He did something from his end that got my internet up and running but my tv still in not, and it won't be til later TomorrowSomething about the tv folks are gone for the day and "we aren't in sync with them" I worked in customer service all of my adult life for Very large companies and I can tell you I would have been written up for not noting an account with arrangements and quotes I had given, if not firedI think *I* need to get a recorder for MY home phone to protect me from them and to assure MY "quality assurance" I will be looking for a new companyBuyer Beware!

I have had multiple negative experiences with this business due to extremely poor customer serviceI would rather write a complaint directly to their company but there are no email addresses (and really no phone numbers either) listed on their websiteIn short: earlier this year my husband and I's phone lines were completely cancelled, when we clearly asked AT&T to have them frozen (while living overseas)As a result, with no account to reactivate when returning to the States, this week I tried twice to order a prepaid SIM card and the order was cancelled twice for an unknown reason; after speaking with three different customer service representatives both on the phone and via chat, no one was able to resolve my issue (one in fact, hung up and transferred me to someone else)I have had far too many negative experiences with this company and will not be using them in the futureThey can (and should) do better

My issue is with their billing system and inability to fulfill their promise on billing rate My direct TV contract was for years and set to not go over 115$ After one year it jumped to 185$ I called, they corrected it and said it won't happen again I had to call each month for months I canceled the TV service, kept the internet Yet they failed to credit my equipment fee and kept getting a bill for it They still have not resolved it and I cannot cancel my internet because I can't talk to customer service with an outstanding balance that should not be outstanding!

I have been with att for years and last month my bill jumped over $When I called for help I was advised that my promotion expired and I can expect this new amountI asked if they could work something out due to time of relationship and was advised that they would lower my bill if I agreed to have a satellite installedI find this insulting to my intelligence due to the public knowledge that the wireless cable and internet service that I have now being far superior to outdated service via satelliteI am in business management and it appears that ATT offered great deals to gain customers such as myself and then during their acquisition of direct tv they decided to cut costs they would simply push lower paying contracts into either higher bills with same service or lower bills with second rate service via satelliteSHAME ON ATT for underestimating the intelligence of the public and shame on you for not retaining my business

Service keeps getting interrupted d/t new neighbors getting new service and they put it on our line

The seller has issued me all the documents! Said that within days to my home will come a special device for faxing! As soon as I receive it, I can call customer support and activate the fax!
