Terrible experience switching my number, the bill was ridiculousToo high, they adjusted it times, then it was still more than promisedI was supposed to get a discount through my company, but I am paying more that everyone I knowPricing is sleazy, not at all transparentThey messed up on the port inSent me an extra sim which I don't need can't useThe store does not communicate with the company at allhad to register twice, after having to cancel the first time.Billing is horrendous, they get the bill wrong and no one takes notesYou have to explain over and over because you never get to speak to the same person twice
Stupid long hold times

This is going to be a news for many people what I am going to share below
I purchased an unlocked iPhone from AT&T with a service plan from themAfter using is for about months there was an issue with the phone (Not very important for the review but adding it here to give full context) and I got it swapped from Apple store for free
After about months from my original purchase of this "UNLOCKED" iPhone I decided to move out from AT&T and go to different providerSo I paid off all the dues and happily moved out of AT&TSubmitted my request on AT&T unlocked website and got my phone unlocked (just in case it was still locked)Got email confirmation from AT&T that your phone is now unlocked and can be used with any providerif you face any problem please contact "Apple Support"
I took this phone and went to Verizon and here we goThis phone is not working with verizon, initially I thought I may have to restore it from iTunes and got a message on iTunes "iPhone is now Unlocked"
Tried again with no success
Called AT&T and they said "We dont produce the phone and if you have any technical issue please contact Apple support
Called apple support and came to know this phone is limited capability phone and not the fully featured iPhone which you get from Apple directlyThis phone was specially built for AT&T and can only work with AT&T and T-MobileI also understood from Apple support that there are types of unlocked phone "Unlocked" and "Truly Unlocked" not sure what the difference was at that moment but learned later
Unlocked means it will only work with 1-provider(As Per Apple Support)
Truly Unlocked means it will work with any provider (As Per Apple Support)
So they said we cannot do anything as this was a special built limited capability phone designed for AT&T we cannot do anything here
So here I am ripped my $(Full price of the phone charged by AT&T) and sitting here with limited capability phone (which should be cheaper technically) but they charged me full price
IF you talk to them now, they will point you to one fine line somewhere in terms and condition that this is what you signed up for
So better be careful, if you plan to use phone with other provider dont buy with AT&Tand if you expect any help from Apple, forget about it

Between at&t and direct TV me and my wife have been on the phone going in circles with this awful company about when they claimed they would be here for install to bundling the packages telling them that their installers had left the house a mess threw our old dish in our yard left trash from his truck in our driveway screws in our yard one installer actually stopped to show me a "funny" video that his girlfriend sent to himWe have literally been on the phone with this company for hours trying to get them to bundle we each were transferred approximately times and hung up on a handful as well the only reason we are still with this horrible company that does not care for their customer is due to the contracts If at all possible go to any other company as this one does not care

Purchased: ATT GIG Fiber which is 1000gigabits or 125megabytes a second, with a static IP address (which is important to the story)
Issue: ATT does not provide the 1gig service they charge for and in reality barely provides 5% of what they charge for
History: Att installed on December 20th, I was traveling and not able to test itOn January 2nd I was and realized that we were getting only 300KB a second download, versus the 125megabyes we pay for
They sent out multiple techs, who had no idea even how to configure their own modemOne tech spent 3-hours and wrote up no notes, merely scheduling another tech

Cannot unlock phone for international use
As an ATT cell phone user, I purchased an ATT iphone for my Fiancee, who is also an ATT userCurrently, my Fiancee travels to Haiti for several months out of the yearShe is currently in Haiti and unable to use her cellphone because it is locked against international useThis presents an extreme safety issue, especially in a country like Haiti where traditional emergency (911-style) services are almost non-existentHer emergency support consists of a third party app called Hero Client RescueWithout a Haitian sim card, she can't access her emergency services app
Additionally, she cannot call or be called be her in-country colleagues without activating her in-country simHer Haitian associates can't afford to place a long distance call to a US number every time they need to call her

I've been with AT&T for almost yearsI've never not paid my bill, I've been a good and loyal customerI upgraded my phone this past May and the woman who I dealt with while upgrading basically lied to me exactly times during our conversationI'd lost my job, I was due for an upgrade at no cost so I decided to upgradeI explained to this woman that I'd lost my job and if I couldn't keep my monthly bill in the same area that it was then I didn't want to upgradeShe assured me FOUR TIMES - FOUR DIFFERENT TIMES - that my bill would not be that much different and suggested a phoneI followed her suggestions and ordered the phoneAbout weeks after getting the phone I get a bill that was $MORE than what I'd been payingAfter thinking about it I decided to keep the phoneI notified *** that I was keeping the phoneI notified them more than once and each time was told it was fine, it'd be on a monthly payment plan, etcThen I get a text and an email saying I owed $and would lose my service if it wasn't paid immediatelyI chatted with someone on their chat help line and was told by this man that everything on my account was "fine" and that he'd made "all the necessary changes" so that this huge amount would be back on the monthly planI kept the transcripts of this chatA day or so later I get another text with the same message - pay $or lose my serviceI called AT&T at am that morningI did not get off the phone until 4:that afternoonEveryone I spoke with gave me different details but everyone ended by saying there was nothing I could do, it was a "valid charge" and I had to pay the $I explained what had happened, what I'd been told to do, and that I'd lost my job and needed my cell phone service because I have a terminally ill parentI did NOT have $to spendThey did not careOne person passed me on to another, then to another, then to another - I was told there was nothing that AT&T would do to help me, then I was told to sign back into the chat session because they "have the records" and I was told that THEY would be able to fix thisOf course back on the chat line I was told they would do NOTHING about this, and a so-called "manager" actually told me that I should have known I was being given the wrong information when everyone was telling me my account was fixed and I'd be paying on the monthly scheduleI SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THEY WERE GIVING ME INFORMATIONHe actually told me this - I have those chat transcripts alsoI was also told that AT&T does not monitor anything that goes on on their chat lines, they have no records, they are separated from the chat lineOf course this was a lie - and I was told later by ANOTHER employee that I'd been lied to about that, that AT&T does have control over the chat line, they do have records, and they can access those recordsI finally ended up scheduling to pay that $in payments and it just made me sick to my stomachI don't have a steady job right now, I'm paying all of my mom's bills right now, I'd had some unexpected medical costs hit me at that same time, PLUS it's this close to ChristmasThe money I thought I had to spend on my kids for Christmas went instead to AT&T.Even though I set up the scheduled payment and gave my bank info, a few weeks later I get another threatening email saying I'd "missed" a scheduled payment and they shut off my cell phone serviceI only knew they had done this because my son was trying to reach me on a Sunday evening and couldn'tMy service was shut offSo that following Monday again I'm back on the phone, and this time was told that I was NOT to have the payments taken out of my account automatically, even though the woman who set up the plan told me the payments WOULD BE taken out automaticallySo I had to set up ANOTHER payment planThey've now taken over $from me, and when I logged on tonight to check my balance I see ANOTHER "past due" notice and a demand for $instead of the monthly amount I was told ORIGINALLY, BACK IN MAY, I'd be paying I also was told there is no one at AT&T who would be interested in the chat transcripts I had saved - they wouldn't even give me the name or contact info of ANYONE I could send them toWhy the *** do they have the option to save transcripts if those transcripts cannot be used in case of a dispute? Do they think they're interesting reading or something??
To make it even worse, the phone SUCKS

Maybe ATT's new slogan should be "Damaging your World", instead of "mobilizing your world"
Not long ago ATT dug up my yard to put in their new "GIGA" linesATT hired a disreputable local Kansas City company called "***" www.***.com to do the diggingDuring the digging, *** smashed a major water pipe in my yardThe careless digging caused Thousands of dollars in damage
Simple enough.....just call ATT...right? After 20+ attempts to get an ATT decision maker, I realized that ATT senior managers will not talk to meATT CS told call *** here in KC directly
I called ***, I was told I needed to talk to their VPI tried..........he did not return any of the 10+ calls/messages I left for him After months of no luck with ***, I went back to ATTI was finally told that ATT was not liable as they didn't do the work*** has lied and said they didn't do the work...even after seeing the pictures of their work
Bottom line: ATT hired ***....Not me ATT hired ***....Not me
ATT not accept responsibility for the damage the company they hired to work on my property.....Pathetic
