After attending a minute seminar we were told that we won a 3-day cruise and roundtrip airfare tickets The vouchers we received ask for $just to activate the voucherWe decided to research this company before we sent in the $This company also goes by the name 'exotic paradise vacations'What we found is that upon closer inspection of the voucher there is nothing on the voucher itself that says the trip is freeWe then went back to the original invitation letter for the seminar and there is also nothing in that letter that actually says "free" or indicates in any way that the travel is already paid forMost people just like us assume it is free because they use words like 'Congratulations' and 'You won', but at no point in time was the word 'free' or 'already paid for' ever writtenWhat you are actually doing is sending $to eventually get a quote for travel that you have to fully pay for yourself They will continue to make excuses that they held up their end of the bargain by offering you travel so they don't have to refund you any fees In the company's own words which you can read in the responses to the complaints on this site, "they do not offer free travel" Look at your own voucherIf you don't see the words 'free' or 'already paid' anywhere, it's because it's not free and they also have a disclaimer stating they are not responsible for any verbal claims that may have been madeThey use people's natural ability to assume against themThat's why it's a scamPlease don't waste your money

In response to your client's complaint, it must be noted that we are not responsible for the marketing of promotions. The marketing company and companies that gives presentations are totally separate entities from us.Please have your client review disclaimer below. There is nothing I can
do for your client at this time

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
There are no certificates in the packet you mailed me Only papers asking for yet more money Why should I be out any money (restocking fee) when their were no airline and cruise travel certificates as stated? Your package is on the way back to you with copies of US money orders I sent.
Reason - There are not Airline and Cruise certificates in package you sent, as stated There are only request for yet more money to supposedly receive these alleged cerfificatesRegards,

*** was obligated to provide a reservation quote, which they did. Quotes are based on availability, dates of travel and ports of departure. If your client did not like the quote, they could have resubmitted request with different criteria.Once request was submitted and quote issued, there are no refunds at that point.CC***

*** ***In response to your client's complaint, I am confused as to why she is looking for a refund. She
stated that she did not want to go further because of the additional cost involved. In addition, she had activated her voucher in December of last year. This would put her outside of the day deadline to file a refund request. Her reservation request would have been honored if she had of followed instructions. Her reason for requesting a refund is not valid. Have her return all docs along with letter, copy of receipt and processed check and I will consider it.Thanks,Charles

This isn't a complaint, but it very well could be if I don't get my money backI attended a seminar that promised FREE round trip flights for two to anyone who attendedAt the end of that seminar, we were presented with a voucher to Away to Paradise vacationsThis voucher said that we had to pay $per person in order to receive those flightsI sent in a check for $They sent me back ANOTHER voucher saying that before I can receive those flights, I now have to pay an extra $per person, and to expect taxes and surcharges anywhere from $59-per person on top of that, AND that when the final vouchers come in, they are QUOTES of what the final value will be (NOT FREE)And I can only fly to select airportsThis means that I am paying a grand total of $MINIMUM per person to fly somewhere that could end up being more expensive, save me a few dollars, but it wasn't worth the time and hassle to run to the post office to send these vouchers in over and over againI called Away to Paradise to ask for a refund of my initial check I sent and the rep on the other end was very rude, and told me I couldn't get a refund, and had a horrible attitudeI told him I wanted to speak with his manager, and he refused at first, and then told me he didn't have oneHe ended up transferring me to another rep, who I demanded an apology from, in which he said no he would not do thatThen he proceeded to tell me the refund process, and said it would take daysIf I do not see my refund in days, sparks will fly and this will turn into a negative review AND a complaint
