In response to your client's complaint, it is always suggested that clients read Terms and Conditions of offer before proceeding further.  If he feels that company that gave presentation misrepresented the offer, he should take matter up with them.  We are a Gift Certificate company only...

and have nothing to do with marketing or fulfillment of promotions.  All of our disclaimers are printed on all certificates issued to clients.  ‘Away to Paradise Vacations’ and

My husband and I recieved a mailer with a key. On the key was a code and if it matched the code written in the letter you won one of several things - one of them being a car. Of course our code matched so we called the phone number provided and spoke to a nice lady who set us up for a meeting about discounted travel. Just for calling in she said we not only will get one of the prizes listed, but also $100 in dining gift cards and a $50 Walmart gift card just for attending this seminar. We do travel a lot, so we made the appointment. The day before the meeting, we got a confirmation call and another nice lady said just for confirming our appointment she was upping our Walmart gift card to $100.
When we went to the seminar there were several other couples in the room. We were all paired with a sales person and they took us through a survey. Once we were done, another man came and explained to the whole group about CVS, sponsor group for ATP Vacations. He explained that there was no pressure to purchase anything, gave us a whole story about his background/life-went from poor to rich so to speak and when he was done we were told that every couple in the room costs them $500 if they don't purchase the membership. No pressure there... Anyway, we decided this wasn't for us and told the man we were done. He then went out of the room and a lady came out and tried to sell it to us again. When we told her we weren't interested, she took my key and said she would get our prizes as promised. She came back and handed us two certificates. We didn't get to see if won the big prize, so we listened to her tell us what we won. One certificate was for free airfare for two and the other 3-5-7 night criuse for two plus 3 days of hotel accomodations and our $100 dining gift card. Everything was written on the certificates. She then handed me the Walmart gift card. I asked her if the $100 is on there, because the second lady on the phone had upped it. She told me that it was up to $100... She also explained that we had to pay $98 per certificate in order to redeem our prizes and to be sure to check a box on the form to collect our $100 in dining cards when we mail our money in or we won't get them. Feeling a little let down we took our so-called prizes and left.
I went to Walmart the next day and found we only got $5 on the card. Bummer... Anyway, I decided to look into the certificates because we do want to cruise and use our airfare to travel. I wanted to find out if the cruiseline we want to use is available. There was no phone number or website to collect information from on the certificates. I also noticed in fine print we would have to pay a $35 dollar reservation fee plus port taxes and security surcharges which will range from $59-$89 per person. Of course it also says the fees vary. I wanted to look into this further so I found a phone number for ATP. It was an answering machine with nobody's name attached. I also noticed there is an updated address for ATP online that is different than what is printed on my certificate. Too many red flags for me to send them anything. What a real dissappointment this was. A prize isn't a prize if you have all these unfortold fees that you can't get information about unless you send your hard earned money to them first.

I am rejecting this response because:It is true I was called by a representative. I requested a list of locations for the hotels and asked a few questions. He told me he would get the information I asked for and would call me back once he had a list of qualifying hotels and states they are in. I have not received that phone call or the information requested.  I am not sure why they think it's resolved.

In response to your client's complaint, there are absolutely 'NO REFUNDS ON RE-SHIPMENTS'.  They were re-shipped on 10-7-15.  If they want to submit their reservation request, they may do so, but they must pay the reservation deposit.  HPV will not handle their reservation request for...

In response to your client's complaint, confirmations were emailed to them twice.  Once in April and the 2nd one in August.  If she followed instructions in email, she would have been taken care of.  She activated her certificate back in Feb. of this year.  There are no refunds...

I am rejecting this response because:  We asked for a refund because we w didn't want to pay the extra money that was required to move to the next step and asked for our initial deposit back.  We provided all the documentation that Away to Paradise asked for in order to get our money back.  We are not inviesting in Away to Paradise's business so why is it our problem that they have cash flow problems.  We sent our money in good faith and expect to have it returned immediately.  Our $148 is not going to help with their cash flow.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and I have received a call finally from "Away to Paradise" (before they never answered and did not respond to the messages I left).  I was told that the fax machine works but they would allow me to mail the activation form to them.  I am very skeptical because the way they do business - accepting deposit checks and then not getting back to anyone until the Revdex.com got involved. I mailed the form yesterday...return receipt requested so I will have proof that they received it.  I am told that once they do receive the activation form that I can book the air line tickets that I am due.  Will let you know what happens!

Thank you for your help...

Company offered a refund (in an email from Lyla 0n 8/1/16) due to our dissatisfaction with costs involved for a 'FREE' travel package. Travel documents and a copy of our processed check was received by them in early August. We are still awaiting a refund of $148.00.
Recent email concerning receipt of documents and repeated request for reimbursement has gone unanswered.
