Mark with Ace Home Services was great He inspected my system and presented me with his findings and suggestions He was very personable and I truly felt he was here to help He was not pushy nor did he try to sell me things I did not need He offered me several options, prioritizing the items that needed to be addressed first I hope I get Mark the next time I need any HVAC service

On Saturday Jan 7th, my water softener unit sprung a leakI usually use Parker & Sons for my plumbing needs but they couldn't see me til MondayI called around and Ace Home Services was available that same day
Two servicemen, Jeremy and Charles showed upMy water softener unit was over years old so they claimed that there were no parts to be found to make a repairThey tried to sell me a $water softener filtration unit that I didn't need
They also claimed that they couldn't bypass the unit without drilling holes in my wall
I suspect that they trying to take advantage of me being a female owner of a large home who has no plumbing knowledge
They charged me $for the service call
Luckily a friend recommended Biltmore Plumbing who gave me the option of replacing the defective part (apparently the parts are compatible) or replacing the unit for a very reasonable feeHe also told me that the unit could have been bypassed by simply turning off a valve
So be very careful when dealing with this company and do your research!

Brian was very professional and personableThis is the second time he has serviced our AC unit and we have been very satisfied

I did not check reviews because I had used them for my annual AC checkup for several yearsHowever, this year was nothing but a high pressure sales call that I paid for They refused to put in the freon I was told was included and tried to charge me for the lbs of freon that they insisted I had to have Went on and on trying to sell me one thing after another and when I finally said 'look I don't have any money' the guy was visibly upset with meI told them up front that I only wanted an inspection and top off as I have a warranty companyThey continually bad mouthed my warranty company, who is awesome I just wanted them to do what I scheduled for not sit in my kitchen and drone on and on about how they wanted my money Totally slimy salesman, worse than buying a used car I am so upset and disappointed I will never call them again for anything!

Absolutely the worse AC service we have ever rcvd as homeowners of several homesWe installed a new unit that immediately needed to be replacedIn less than months they have had to come back out to tweak things & now replace another part again...their response "no worries, it's under warranty"It has taken them over a week to get our unit fix & still not working properly; also, their estimated time of services will keep you home waiting for days!!!!!

The inspector, Michael, did a thorough analysis of all plumbing and made several recommendationsHe completed an estimate of costs, broken down by item, and there was no pressure to follow through on signing a contractHe was professional, courteous and knowledgeable

Mike and Sergio went right to work on our projectThey were conscientious to keep work area clean and cleaned up completely after the jobThey let us know throughout the project where they were at and when it would be done

On the hottest day of 2014, my year-old Carrier A/C system failedI called ACEminutes later Tim arrived and quickly diagnosed the problem to a blown start-run capacitor for the condenser, which he replaced in a few minutesHe said the fan motor is getting old and drawing excessive current and would probably not last much longerBeing a mechanical engineer, I knew what he was saying was honestThat impressed meHis professional demeanor caused me to invite him to tell me about a new Carrier heating-cooling systemI was impressed with his presentationHe gave me his cardI said I would call him when the time was right
Two years later, again on the hottest day of 2016, with the fan making sounds of ‘help’, the capacitor blew againI grabbed Tim’s card and called himHe immediately answered saying “Tim of Ace Home Services”That really impressed meI told Tim that the time was right and I wanted to purchase a new Carrier systemHe arrived within an hourHaving done my research, I chose a more efficient SEER Carrier systemThe system was scheduled to be installed a couple days later on Saturday, July 2, during the holiday weekend
The installation crew (Justin & Trey) arrived on time at AM in an attractive ACE van with trailerThey worked diligently for hours with no stop for lunch (very impressive)They were respectful and answered all of my questionsBy PM the cool was flowing from the new unitThey gave me a tutorial using the new digital, programmable thermostatI asked them to test the gas furnace to make sure it was also working properlyThe heat worked well
In the coming days I fell in love with the new systemThe much larger and stylish condenser unit outside is super quiet in comparison to the old oneThe electronic controlled Xramping blower motor in the attic is wonderfulInstead of the old whine when the fan turned on, I hear a slow transition from zero to full speedIts almost unnoticeableThe digital programmable thermostat keeps the temp perfectly controlled within a half degree at all timesIts a great improvement over the old several degree temp cycle swing of too warm-too coolMost of all, I love the energy efficiency of the SEER systemBeing an SRP Time-of-Use customer, I monitor my energy consumption by the hourThe new system is saving about 15% in energy cost during the hot summer months over my old SEER system, just like Tim said it would
In conclusion, the quality of installation, system performance, quietness, temperature control are all excellentI have become an ACE believer

These men did a great job installing my new unitThey were up in my attic for hours in the az heatTotally professional, and friendlyThey answered any questionsCleaned up any mess they madeMy new unit is running quietly and beautifully

Looking for an air-conditioning company to repair your unit in 110+ weather is a difficult task ACE Home Services is extremely professional, a company based upon integrity and a resource I am forever grateful to find Mark P*** is a 'senior tech' and was definitely more helpful than any a/c tech I had out over the past six weeks from the three companies I used Not only was nothing in need of replacement as I had been advised by the other companies, he took the time to give me pointers for more efficient use Definitely worth the $charge to diagnose the issues or lack there of in our case I took extra cards to give to our friends ACE is forever a trusted home repair company for us, our friends and relatives!!!

I have been with Ace for several years now and was extremely disappointed with how their customer service has declined My review will be aimed at their lack of knowledge about their appointments and clients, as well as the fact that they are unreliable with returning calls as promised I had received an email on Sunday stating I had an appointment Monday morning Since we had been waiting on a part to arrive to fix one of our three air conditioners, I assumed it was for that So my husband and I scrambled to see who could take the day off with such short notice So, my husband stayed home and on Monday morning I called them to confirm the appointment At 8am they told me I couldn't get an update since the rest of the customer service department doesn't come in until 7am, when I informed them that it was well past that time, they said they would give me a call back Never received that call So, I called on my lunch break and the lady confirmed that our appointment was between 11am and 1pm I asked to speak to a supervisor, but was told they were in a meeting By 3:30pm they still had not arrived, so I called my technician with no response and then called the office back I was told I still couldn't speak with a supervisor because they were in a meeting and was promised a return call Later that evening my technician returned my call and said we were never scheduled for that day and that the part was not even in yet I explained the issue with the email and he said he'd look into it So, several days go by and I get another email (same one!) that said they would be there between and 11am I called to confirm and was told it was in fact scheduled and I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told they were in a meeting and were unavailable So, I requested to speak with who ever their boss was (the supervisors) since they were always in meetings, and that I'd wait until they were available A few minutes later, Becky picked up the phone and said she was a supervisor I explained my concerns and she asked me what it was that I wanted her to do about it...I explained that a little remorse would be nice since my husband stayed home from work for no reason after we paid them 3k to take care of our AC problem and then never received a call back, despite leaving several requests for a call back She said she was sorry and that she would rectify the issue and use this example for training purposes There has been no rectification
I realized that there was no remorse or ownership of their error or recognition of their inadequate customer service I won't be using them anymore and making sure any of my neighbors who are looking for this service don't use them due to this and could not be more disappointed in how it was handled The frustration it has caused is beyond measure and unnecessary Since I was on hold and listened to their advertising of A rating with the Revdex.com, I decided to make it known some of the issues we had

Had our unit installed in and, at the time, bought the extended warranty for years Last year, decided to buy a year maintenance contract Called them out at the beginning of May, 2017, for the yearly maintenance so the unit wouldn't take a poop on the hottest day of the year Everything was deemed to be OK On the hottest day of the year, June 19th, the unit took a poop Called to have someone come out, and the customer service person on the phone tried to convince me that the unit was working OK I told him the unit definitely was not working properly, so a tech was scheduled to come out The tech arrived during the time I was told he would, and the cause of my problem was a burnt out motor Since I had the extended warranty, there would be no charge for the part itself The tech proceeded to tell me that he did not have the factory part of his truck, and would put a substitute motor on for the evening and come back the next day to install the factory motor For this, I was going to be charged an extra hours
worth of labor for him to do this I explained to him that it was not my fault he did not have the proper motor on his truck, and I should not be charged the extra hour He said that he would need to drive to the warehouse to pick up the motor, drive back to my house, and install the proper motor (a minute job) When I said again that it wasn't my fault he didn't carry factory parts on his truck, he laughed and said it I wanted to go without A/C that night, he wouldn't put the substitute motor on and would just charge me for the hour the next day It was degrees that day, I'm in my seventies, and I have a
year old dog I didn't think it was a reasonable solution, so I didn't take him up on his offer He returned the next day and did install the factory motor For this service, I was charged a total of hours of service I called the office days later to complain about the double charge, and was told that Becky was not available, but would call me back I waited a week with no call from Becky, even thou I called everyday trying to get her to listen to my concerns The following week, after getting the run around and no phone call, I called and stayed on the line for minutes until Becky took my phone call
I explained my reluctance to pay a second labor charge for the tech to drive around town picking up a part that should have been on his truck I'm self-employed, and I don't charge my clients to drive around town; they're charged when I show up to provide the service to them She stated that factory warrantied parts are NEVER on the tech trucks So why am I paying extra for an extended warranty if each time I have a problem, I will be charged a second hour of service to have the problem resolved? I also stated that installing the motor itself was a minute job She stated that their minimum labor charge is hour at $an hour Be grateful mechanics don't charge a minimum of an hour when a repair takes minutes or minutes to complete But even they don't charge $an hour for their services I thought I was doing the right thing by buying an extended warranty thru this company, but, in essence, will be penalized each time I need a warranty part replaced on my unit in the future if they continue to not carry factory warranty parts on their trucks Besides the lousy customer service and run around I received when I attempted to talk to the office manager about this issue, do not buy any additional contracts with this company unless you want to be taken advantage of and charged twice for their services

The tech was very polite and explained everything to me as he went about going over my A/CHe took his time and covered everythingI will highly recommend ACE to my friendsThank you

My wife and I had purchased a preventative maintenance agreement from a company that was acquired by ACE Home Services Once we determined that ACE would honor the agreement we set up an appointment The technician was prompt and courteous and provided us with helpful information There was no pressure to purchase anything immediately

I bought Air Conditioner and Air handler on 06/I have made multiple calls because it shuts off and when I call for service they do not comeOn July 7th the system shut down I called and customer service said that they would arrive and no one came to my house nor did they callI would call every hour to find out ETA and they would only tell me that I was nextI received a call from Manager saying he was sorry and that they would send someone right awayHe came didn't find anything wrong with unitI do not know what he did but it stated working againNow yesterday it was another birthday celebration with no air conditionerI told customer service that I wouldn't have a phone to just send techThis time I wanted to make sure that the tech checked how the unit was installed because I am not going anywhereNow I am days without AC and it is really hot right nowSpoke with *** *** ** *** *** ** *** and he said he cant do anything about it and cant replace or retur

ACE acquired ** *** *** In their first call, they informed us about the acquisition and said that all contract with ** *** *** will be honored by ACE now onwards, as is the case with any acquisition
They performed the first service per the agreement but now they are asking $for the next service

Good company....sent a qualified rep out to assess our home system......he was diligent and thorough, very courteous.....seemed very fair in his assessment and suggestions for our home

Bought a year service contractThey will call and remind you to schedule service if you forget (I do)They are prompt to come out, or will call if they get delayed on another callExcellent service and don't press needles repairs on youRecommend things you can do to keep things running smoothly
