Brian M*** , plumbing/ HVAC tech with ACE home services did a spring tuneup and inspection for us on June 12, He and the young man he was mentoring were the first technicians, that I am aware of, who actually opened our unit to inspect / clean the coils since He took pictures of that area and others and was able to advise us about the condition of our unit (years old) He was well dressed, considerate, professional and very knowledgeable

One of my air conditioning units stopped working Ace had just been out to check all the units two weeks previously They said that they would waive the $service call because their previous service call was just a few weeks previous
The tech determined that a capacitor had failed and he replaced them with a ufarad and a ufarad capacitorsHe billed me $which I commented to him seemed high and he did not break down the cost of the capacitor or labor
I called Ace the next day and talked to BeckyShe said that she was the manager and that she would help meI asked her to break down the $charge between parts and labor an she emphatically stated that she would not do it
If the capacitors cost even $50, Ace was charging me over $to install them, a job that took less than minutesSomething seems wrong here??!!

Everyone we met were friendly and helpful.Also very informative.We would recommend ACE Home Services to family and friends

I had a great experience with Ace Home Services there install went very smoothly

My central unit fan needed replacing so the compressor would begin working again In the meantime the house was getting warmer and warmer to a bad point I called ACE, my regular A/C service company The receptionist was very helpful and friendly ACE had a tech (named Scott) here by 2:PM today He fixed the problems by 5:PM today and the house is beginning to cool down again Scott knew what to do and did it today He was quite courteous and knowledgeable and good to work with My hat's off to ACE and the team that helped me today!

Ace Air always has such fine workers and Jim Sdefinetly did an excellent and efficient job repairing my air conditioner

After 5years and months our gas/pac no longer provided cooling and blew only luke warm airTech from ACE came out and found a leak in the cooling coil and blamed me for the leak and said the year warranty was no longer valid because the coil was dirty and routine maintenance would have prevented the leakExamination showed the cooling coil was lightly dustyThe Day and Night cooling coil would not be available I was told by ACE, Friday 4-15-for at least weeks We contacted Day & Night and was told the production run for our model cooling coil would not even start until 5-2-and then would be to weeks before shippingI contacted ACE 4-19-and cancelled the order for repair $4,New unit was $5,installedWhen the new unit was installed there was no inspection of duct workUnknown to me there was an inch square hole where the evap cooler had beenA cusory inspection by ACE would have revealed thisDuct work was not sealed at the return air ventSo for the last years we have been venting heated and cooled air into the attic/atmosphereNow ACE wants $shipping fee for a cooling coil Day and Night had not even manufactured yetWith my limited knowlege of air conditioning and heating I had to trust ACE HOME SERVICESFool me onceI know I will not use ACE againIt is my opinion they did not perform the minimum requirements for a professional installation and to listen to an admonishment of why it was my fault the cooling coil developed a leak and the year warranty was no longer valid was over the top

Service tech sold me a new high efficiency unit because my older heat pump fan wasn't workingHe said, if it was possible to fix, it would be at least $5K because it was old(So am I.) After changing the filter and allowing to unfreeze the lines, my old unit worked fineI tried to cancel, but was advised that to cancel the order would be a $restocking feeWhat a rip off Once you are hooked, they don't want to let you off.....even if they lied to get you to purchase in the first placeNot my idea of a trustworthy company

BEWARE of this company they take advantage of the elderly!! I would not recommend them to anyone

Ace recently installed a new ac/gas furnace in our home The original proposal/contract had one figure on it which was $8, The new unit was installed on 4/26/ To date I have not received an invoice More importantly, when I requested that I would like to have a bill/invoice showing a breakdown of parts (one figure for all parts), labor and sales tax, I was told they do not do that I was surprised by this as it seems somewhat unethical not to issue an invoice with the three items I have contacted them repeatedly and cannot get them to provide the information

Would never use Ace again In I purchased a new air conditioning/heat pump unit from Ace together with a year parts and labor (including compressor) extended warranty This spring when they came out to do the yearly check, the repair man said our unit was in bad shape (the unit is only years old) and was leaking refrigerant but that he couldn't find the leak Said they would have to perform an extensive leak check, remove and replace the evaporator coil and perform several other tests to the tune of $of which $would be covered by the warranty but anything to do with the refrigerant was not covered under warranty He also said that they couldn't guarantee how long the fix would last - maybe a month or maybe a yearAlso said it would probably be in my best interest to purchase a new unit which, for my house, the best fit would be $10, I opted to do neither and after checking with friends and neighbors called in another company that was highly recommended by several to check the unit The other company charged $to do the check and said the only thing they could find wrong was that it was pounds low on refrigerant which is very unusual to lose that much in the one year since the last check up and they could not see any sign of a leak I'm not saying that ace purposely let out refrigerant but no one can find a plausible reason for it to lose so much in one year with no visible signs of a leak The new company replaced the lbs of refrigerant for $for which ace was going to charge $for just lbs and the air conditioner is now working just fine After he finished adding refrigerant and checking the unit, my new man took a look at Ace's list of costs to do all the repairs they said were required and was amazed at the costs they were charging The new company also said they could install a new, brand name system; when we were ready to do so at some point in the future for a little over $- not $10, The new company is a small family owned business who has been serving the west valley for years with an excellent reputation Wish I had used them to begin with years ago Since all of this happened, I discovered that my neighbor's son-in-law used to work for Ace until last year and said he left them because the emphasis in training all of their repair technicians is now on sales rather that repair and that he didn't like the high pressure tactics that he was expected to use on customers when going out on a repair call

Robin from Ace did a fantastic job with my repair! He was on time, explained the procedure clearly and did the job in a reasonable amount of time

I'm sorry but it was really difficult to just choose ONE complaint type
I purchased my unit new through Ace Air in late The gentleman that I met first with, I was totally confident with! To my misfortune he personally didn't do the work and is no longer with the company!
My profession as an airline pilot for over thirty years has taught me to try and do everything I can in advance so as not to incur a problem! We purchased an additional eight years service contract on top of our 10/10/10/warranty! My wife and I both like our house cool! With this in mind we purchased a slightly oversized and very efficient unitDon ( our original salesman ) suggested adding an additional return and several new registersGreat advice but again he didn't do the work! Over time we purchased EVERYTHING each technician suggested including more attic insulationOver the past four years my kWh usage increased dramatically ! Ace air could find no problems although my unit ran continuously!

CUSTOMER:*** ***FACTS:  Aug 13, 2015: entered into month air conditioner maintenance contractApril I,2016: company came and checked a/c and said it was okay.but said we needed the air duck cleanedPaid $and they cleaned them on April4,Found out by accident that they did not do what they charged us for so we received a $rebateTheir machine gouged a dining chair and cut the leather on the chair April 23, 2016: Came to house and checked a/c due to me calling saying that it didn't sound right when it startedCould not find anything wrong, but after talking a while, went back to a/c and finally said that we needed a new fan motor and thermostat at a cost of around $1, Did not have them do thatMay found that they had not cleaned the ducts properly by a company representative and he inspected the damaged chairUsed a wire brush on chair and made the cut worse,S.May 9,2016: Cleaned air duct

For the past three years I have used Ace Home Services for my a/c and plumbing inspections They are prompt, efficient, and knowledgeable I have followed all their recommendations and have had no issues with the a/c or the plumbing since inception

When I got home today the house was degrees I called Ace Home Services and they were out to my house with an hour and had the problem fixed with the next hour $in labor was reasonable considering they were so prompt

Although there was some confusion over the phone (the person who took my first call confused "tomorrow" with "next week" and neglected to take my phone number and address, a second phone call resolved everything A technician contacted me within the promised time and was out quickly He made sure the job was done correctly and did not leave until everything was correct I'm very satisfied
