name is [redacted], I am in the Gainesville location that handles the area where you rented. The charges you recieved are less than the one way rate to the location you actually dropped the AT. I understand that you had an issue with your vehicle so we have charged you the one way rate intead of the intown rate so that you could drop it where you did instead of bringing the equipment back to Palatka. There will be no refund at on the equipment that you rented. This is not considered fraud is simply turning your intown rental to a oneway rental for your convienence. she sent Ms. [redacted] an email requesting a call back to personally discuss her concerns and reach a resolution.  Ms. K[redacted] did mentioned the truck Ms. [redacted] rented was on an in-town contract for same day return.  However, when the truck was retrieved, it was 19 days overdue, thereby making her on an invalid contract.  Multiple attempts were made to retrieve our truck.   A Promissory Note was generated when our truck was back into the U-Haul system indicating she owes $2,127.63 for the balance of the rental.  Ms. K[redacted] hopes to hear back from Mr. [redacted] soon.   Our customers are very important to us and we regret to hear of situations that cause problems for them. August 1, 2016   Revdex.com ID#: [redacted] U-Haul Ref#: [redacted]   Thank you for your continued concern for our customer [redacted].   Joshua N[redacted], our Area Field Manager for our Tampa Regional Office, relayed to our office their decision in the matter remains the same.  It is documented in the Rental Contract Addendum and Document Holder under the Terms and Conditions that “Customer expressly authorizes Company to apply any and all additional charges, including lost rental revenue, on the credit card used to pay for the rental or on that credit card used as meaningful assurance.”  The one-way rate is not listed on the contract due to the fact the rental was for an in-town move.  At time of rental Ms. [redacted] didn’t say she would be dropping off one-way, therefore, we had no idea where she had intentions of dropping the equipment.  She signed the contract agreeing to the bring back the truck to the same dispatch location and since she did not, additional fees apply.   We continue to be committed to providing our customers with the highest standards of service in the do-it-yourself moving industry.  Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention and allowing us to offer another response.   Sincerely, Maria P[redacted] Executive Assistant U-Haul International

She informed our office they have tried to work with Ms. [redacted] to accommodate her moving needs. Ms. Kirsch reiterated, we offered to waive one month of storage or provide moving help, which are both licensed and insured, free of charge to move her out of storage. Ms. [redacted] declined, however, these are our only offers still on the table. We will not pay for an outside moving company and she will not tell us where she needs her items moved, nor will we reimburse her for two years of storage fees. We continue to be committed to providing our customers with the highest standards of service in the do-it-yourself moving industry.
