Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/09/10) */
Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from *** ***We have reviewed our files and our records show that *** signed up for our Resume Builder services on May 22, The copy online clearly provided *** with a choice
of full access for days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long*** chose to accept our offer for day full access, which automatically renews monthlyOn the page where *** made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the day premium access ''automatically renews at $per month on the 15th day''In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on June 6, to our monthly service at $per month.'' This page also provides information on how *** could cancel before this monthly chargeFinally, *** was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming ***'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on June 6, to our recurring monthly service at $per month.'' Accordingly, on June 6, ***'s card was charged $for the applicable month of service
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for *** and provide her a refund of monthly charge totaling $Our customer service team refunded *** the amount of $as of September 1,

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/09/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The company did refund my money, but their response was not accurateThey failed to address the fact that I tried to cancel my "subscription" twice, and received no response from customer serviceAlso, when attempting to use their site to cancel, the proper link is brokennot allowing customers to cancelThere was an error message that said, "oops, something just happened." So, while I may have missed the part where I signed up for automatic billing, LiveCareer's poor customer service and website cancellation options made it impossible to cancel without Revdex.com's interventionI would've continued to be billed $a monthI disagree with the response that says it's obvious that there is automatic billingmany companies do the same thing that LiveCareer doesthey allow free access for several weeks, and many people sign up so they can access their resume, and then when a few weeks elapses, they forget that the free period expiredSo, in my opinionit was a decent resolution to the problem, but the business is still unethicalNotice there is no apology for the lack of customer service

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/27) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Payments were drafted by LiveCareer for $per month since February of on my VISA credit card ending in 2583, totaling $
I hope this additional information will help the company to locate their recordsThe nature of my complaint once again is that the LiveCareer representative guaranteed refund for only two months ($79.60) rather than the full amount of $paid since February for no services renderedThe reason the representative gave for only providing partial refund was that the LiveCareer "system" limited him from putting any more back onto my credit cardI am hoping that somebody higher up in the company will be able get beyond the limitation of their computer system and be able to put a full refund i.e., the additional $onto my credit card

Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 19, 2015/10/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept the latest proposed resolution by Live Career because I was mislead by them saying, "Our customer service team refunded *** the amount of $as of August 3, 2015." in response to me asking them to refund an additional $to their initial refund of $
Quotes of this interaction are reproduced below, (as documentted in Complaint Activity Report Case #XXXXXX), to show how the company's response was misleading
July 27, I wrote:

To which the Live Career company responded on August 4, 2015:
"Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for *** and provide her a refund of monthly charges totaling $Our customer service team refunded *** the amount of $as of August 3, 2015."

Their response provides further evidence that their additional charges to my card were unwarranted and should be refunded to meWhen I contacted them about the charges, they were able to find record of the charges by looking up my card numberHowever, my point is that they are correct, I did not sign up for any of their services, further proven by the fact that they are not able to find any record of my ONLY email address in their files
