Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 9, 2015/05/22) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
While it may be the case that the information was located somewhere on the page, I obviously did not see the part about the automatic subscriptionI feel that this type of practice is entrapment and a good business would not trap clients into subscriptions they do not wantI am very unhappy that your company chooses to conduct business in this mannerAlthough it may be legally allowable, ethically it is a shady business practiceI do not feel that there is a middle ground hereJust know that you have lost a customer and if I am ever asked about this business, You will nor receive a good recommendation form me

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/27) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Payments were drafted by LiveCareer for $per month since February of on my VISA credit card ending in 2583, totaling $
I hope this additional information will help the company to locate their recordsThe nature of my complaint once again is that the LiveCareer representative guaranteed refund for only two months ($79.60) rather than the full amount of $paid since February for no services renderedThe reason the representative gave for only providing partial refund was that the LiveCareer "system" limited him from putting any more back onto my credit cardI am hoping that somebody higher up in the company will be able get beyond the limitation of their computer system and be able to put a full refund i.e., the additional $onto my credit card

Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 19, 2015/10/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept the latest proposed resolution by Live Career because I was mislead by them saying, "Our customer service team refunded *** the amount of $as of August 3, 2015." in response to me asking them to refund an additional $to their initial refund of $
Quotes of this interaction are reproduced below, (as documentted in Complaint Activity Report Case #XXXXXX), to show how the company's response was misleading
July 27, I wrote:

To which the Live Career company responded on August 4, 2015:

When you google resume builder they are the first to come up and on the first page it says "We're so confident that you'll love Resume Builder that you can try it for FREE!
" However, after spending several hours building a resume, in order to print, save, or email it you must sign up for their serviceHardly freeSo not wanting to have wasted all that time, I signed up for the trial for ~$There is no way when you sign up to opt out of automatic billing and if you go to cancel your service you lose any progress time you spent
Figure since I already spent the money I would build another resumeA week later remember to get on and cancel at the week mark and I had already been billedI canceled it and contacted customer service about itThey said they had canceled it for me but the charges were valid and if there was anything else they could help me withI told them they had been no help since I had already canceledI was going to copy the conversation which popped up in a separate browser window to show that there was a clear script as this is obviously part of their business model but without asking or telling me the window was closed on my computer on their endPretty obvious they don't want anyone to see what dreadful customer service they give
It's a scam that preys on people looking for work, offers no real value, and terrible customer service
