Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted]. We have reviewed our files and our records show that [redacted] signed up for our Resume Builder services on November 6, 2014. The copy online clearly provided...
[redacted] with a choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for 14 day full access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $35.80 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on November 21, 2014 to our monthly service at $35.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on November 21, 2014 to our recurring monthly service at $35.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on November 21, 2014 [redacted]'s card was charged $35.80 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide her a refund of 3 monthly charges totaling $107.40. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $107.40 as of June 9, 2015.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/06/21) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I typed into Google "free resume builder" and Live Career's website was listed with the title "free resume builder" that is false advertising being I was charged $252. No statements of monthly Chargers were stated clearly while signing up and this is a proven fact displayed by the other 400 plus people who are complaining about the unjust charges. I requested a full refund therefore this matter is not resolved. I would like the rest of the charges refunded totaling $252.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/06/29) */
Thank you again for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted].

Nowhere do they state it is an automatic subscription. There were two buttons, one for one time fee and the other for a subscription. It is false advertising to sa6 you are offerin a one time fee but it's really a subscription also. I would like the 19.95 back that we paid for a resume we never recieved.

Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted]. We have reviewed our files using the email address [redacted] provided in her complaint, and our records show that [redacted] used our Resume-Now services on January 18, 2016.
Accordingly, upon completing her resume, [redacted] was given the option to either download the .txt version of the resume, or upgrade for instant access to all premium features. [redacted] upgraded to instant access for the premium features. Because of a glitch in the system, she was not able to access her resume.

The account they sent the resume to doesn't exsist. My husband has never heard of that email, nor is that the one he provided. I am now personally having to write up a resume for him as he never received the services he paid for. I would like a refund for the 19.99 for services never being rendered.

This is a scam. I was trying to cancel my subscription the day before it ended, but somehow I wasn't able to get to the website or even login. I'm going through a really tough time financially and can't afford $40 dollars for some nice looking words on a resume. They charged me the next day, and I emailed and asked for a refund. Got a email stated that it was cancelled.. I didn't ask for that since I cancelled it myself. Again called asking for a refund. It was rejected and know I don't have food for the next week or so. I asked for help with the chat service, and they just told me things I could look up myself. I tried calling twice to no answer today. And after all of this, I paid $40 for not even one full week of service. They billed me on 3/31/2016 and now my subscription ends on 4/4/2016. What type of business is this??== I explained this to them, but they don't care. I'm just trying to get a job in this messed up economy and we have companies like this not willing to work and take people lives in to consideration. I will NEVER use this company again, will bet telling others about it.

choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for 14 day full access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $39.80 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on December 14, 2015 to our monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on December 14, 2015 to our recurring monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on December 14, 2015 [redacted]'s card was charged $39.80 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide them a refund of 3 monthly charges totaling $119.40. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $119.40 as of December 17, 2015.
