Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
Again, this company is in violation of the California Automatic Renewal Law, California Business and Professions Code [redacted]. They do not have the privilege of deciding that they will only partially recompense their customers for violation of that law. The law requires that a company provide its customers with WRITTEN and RETAINABLE confirmation that includes the automatic renewal offer terms and a description of the cancellation policy. This company never sent me so much as an email confirmation.
They say they value their customers. If that were true, they would not be in violation of a law that is in place to protect said customers.
This company owes me a balance of $102.75.
Sincerely,[redacted]
Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted]
Thank you for the opportunity to assist with this complaint from [redacted] (“[redacted]”). We confirm that [redacted] contacted LiveCareer and My Perfect Resume Customer Service Team on March 5, 2018 to request the resume removal; not ResumeHelp which is...

All of our customers agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy prior to create an account and gain access to our resume builder tools. Specifically, Section 16 provides for “a royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive, unrestricted, worldwide license to any and all rights in the User Content including without limitation all copyright, together with all consents (if any) necessary to enable its reproduction, distribution, modification, publishing and/or other exploitation by Provider and/or by any person authorized by Provider, by any means and in all media now known or hereafter devised, without payment or other reference to you or any other person, and to advertise and promote such exploitation, for the full period of all such rights (together with any extensions and renewals) and insofar as possible in perpetuity”. [redacted]
Nevertheless, our dedicated Customer Service Team formally requested the removal of [redacted]’s resume from our portal on the same day he contacted them. Please allow 4-5 business days for removal to be fully processed. We value our customers’ input and requests for resume removal. Therefore, we have successfully processed [redacted]’s complaint against LiveCareer and MyPerfectResume.
We trust this resolves the issue at hand.
Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted]. We have reviewed our files and our records show that Ms. [redacted] signed up for our My Perfect Resume services on April 20, 2017. In order to successfully create an account on our website, Ms. [redacted] agreed to...
our Terms of Services.
My Perfect Resume’s Terms of Service clearly state in Section 16 (“User Content”) that “account information, resume, career history, educational history, reviews, responses, profile entries, posts, questions, career materials or any other information you provide on or through the Site or that we may create for you may not be able to be deleted once uploaded”. Furthermore, the aforementioned clause states that “[w]e may use the public content to develop products, make connections with potential employers, personalize site views, market products or identify or feature popular members.” By posting their information on our website while utilizing our services, Ms. [redacted] agreed to grant and assign to BOLD LLC’s My Perfect Resume and “any employer to which your User Content is provided a royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive, unrestricted, worldwide license to any and all rights in the User Content including without limitation all copyright, together with all consents (if any) necessary to enable its reproduction, distribution, modification, publishing and/or other exploitation by Provider and/or by any person authorized by Provider, by any means and in all media now known or hereafter devised, without payment or other reference to you or any other person, and to advertise and promote such exploitation, for the full period of all such rights (together with any extensions and renewals) and insofar as possible in perpetuity”.
As such, BOLD is authorized to use resumes posted by its users as sample resumes to market their products.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, and Ms. [redacted] agreement to BOLD’s Terms of Use, our customer relations team removed her resume from the website.
We trust this addresses any concerns you may have and resolves this matter.
Revdex.com Complaint ID [redacted]
Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted] (“[redacted]”). We have reviewed our files and our records show that [redacted]’s information was used to sign up for our My Perfect Resume portal in February 14, 2017. ...
To create an account on our website, [redacted] had to agree to our Terms of Use (“ToU”).
As stated in our ToU agreed upon by all of our clients, after the 14-day trial, a monthly charge of $24.95 is added to the account (if the subscription has not been cancelled). They are also not refundable. However, we value our customers here at Bold and want to do all that we can to resolve any issues they may have. As such, on December 21, 22, and 30, 2017 four (4) refunds were processed for $24.95 each. In addition, three more were processed today for $24.95. Furthermore, the account associated to this complaint was cancelled on December 22, 2017. In sum, $149.70 was refunded [redacted]’s account. Please allow 3-5 days for today’s refunds to appear in the credit card’s financial statement.
We trust this resolves this issue.
Please, whatever you do, do not use this website to create a resume. You think they are charing you $2 to create a resume, then they start automatically billing your credit card every month. You get no notification that they are doing this, whatsoever, until you start noticing unusual billing on your credit card. As well, they change their billing name so it shows up as a different name on your credit card statement every month. My teenager used this site to make a resume, then my credit card was charged $50 a month for the next 7 months before I caught up with them. They WOULD NOT REIMBURSE ME A DIME, even though they took payment from a minor. This is a huge scam!! They provide absolutely zero service for the debits they take out of your account.

Accordingly, on March 24, 2014, the card which [redacted] provided was charged $34.95 for the applicable month of service.
Our customer service team looked into this issue and realized that [redacted]'s card was charged twice for her initial subscription and first monthly subscription charges in error. As such, although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer is willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide her a refund for the double-billed amounts. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $37.90 on April 18, 2014. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/04/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The link to the company's website on the Google search does not make it clear that the resume service is available at a fee only. You are allowed to create your resume for free, yes, but then, in order to be able to print it or modify it, you must pay the fee. Having spent time creating the resume, I felt compelled to pay the fee so that I wouldn't have to re-start the process on a word document (which I ended up doing anyway because the finished product was [redacted]). This was deceptive on the company's part. I am sure they trap all of their "customers" in this way. They also did not explain how it happened that they double-billed me, and they made it seem in their response that they were doing me a favor by refunding me the double-billed amounts. Gee thanks! I am guilty of stupidity for falling for their deceptive tactics, and for not checking my email more regularly so that I would have caught the problem sooner. But that doesn't absolve them of being guilty of deceptive practices and making fraudulent charges. What services do they purport to offer for this monthly fee of $34.95 anyway? Lesson learned on my part. The link on Google should be taken down to protect others though.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I typed into Google "free resume builder" and Live Career's website was listed with the title "free resume builder" that is false advertising being I was charged $252. No statements of monthly Chargers were stated clearly while signing up and this is a proven fact displayed by the other 400 plus people who are complaining about the unjust charges. I requested a full refund therefore this matter is not resolved. I would like the rest of the charges refunded totaling $252.
