Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted]. We have reviewed our files and our records show that [redacted] signed up for our Resume Builder services on October 30, 2014. The copy online clearly provided...

[redacted] with a choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for the annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, the offer clearly states that to subscribe to a full access membership at $7.95 per month, [redacted] would have to "pay upfront" and the membership "renews annually." Additionally, on the sales page, immediately adjacent to where [redacted] entered her credit card information, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that "by paying only $95.40, you will be entitled to all of these benefits for the next year." This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel this annual membership within 14 days to receive a full refund of his payment. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted] Annual Membership subscription with an upfront payment of $95.40, and monthly payments of $7.95 thereafter.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer is willing to make an exception for Michaela and provide her a refund of her payment, less the $1.95 she would have paid for our 14 day trial offer. Our customer service team refunded Michaela the amount of $93.45 on December 10, 2014.
We trust this addresses any concerns you may have.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2016/03/07) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I requested the refund before this date. However they gave me the runaround on the phone. I requested a refund on the 4th of February. It wasn't until I messaged them on Facebook and left a response under one of their photos that was viewable publicly that they actually decided to address my issue. Seven days had passed since I had first requested the refund. I do not feel that I should be responsible for their delay in communication. I would prefer that the prorated amount include the seven days that it took them to respond to me.

Nowhere do they state it is an automatic subscription. There were two buttons, one for one time fee and the other for a subscription. It is false advertising to sa6 you are offerin a one time fee but it's really a subscription also. I would like the 19.95 back that we paid for a resume we never recieved.

[redacted] upgraded to instant access for the premium features. Because of a glitch in the system, she was not able to access her resume.

The account they sent the resume to doesn't exsist. My husband has never heard of that email, nor is that the one he provided. Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/12/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The company has refunded my credit card as of 12/9 for the 3 charges. They should still change their website to make it easier for someone to cancel their subscription and prevent unwanted charges to their account. This would help to prevent others from finding themselves in the same predicament as I have and apparently lots of other people have before me.
