(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The above information, while accurate in parts, does not attempt to resolve the problem. I fully understood the 14 day trial and what would happen after that time period if I did not cancel my account. My complaint was that I did cancel my account and got charged anyway. They told me I had canceled my account but not my subscription . I have no idea how that is possible. And if it is possible, why? If a person can no longer access their account and or resume services, why are they being charged for a service? Bottom line, they did finally issue a full refund, so we are good

September 13, 2013. When creating an account using their email address, users are given the option to click on a box that says, "Yes, I would like to receive email alerts on careers that match my profile and free information on managing my career."
By leaving this box selected when she registered, [redacted] consented to receiving email alerts from LiveCareer. Accordingly, [redacted] was sent email alerts to the email address provided.
On February 18, 2014, [redacted] contacted customer service, and requested she be taken off of the email list. Our customer service team removed [redacted] from the email list immediately. However, it takes a minimum of 1-2 days for emails to stop, as some mailings are queued and cannot be immediately taken down. [redacted] has cancelled her subscription with Resume Builder, and will no longer be receiving emails from us. As such, our business with [redacted] has concluded.
We trust this addresses any concerns you may have.

with a choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for 14 day full access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $39.80 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on June 24, 2014 to our monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on June 24, 2014 to our recurring monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on June 24, 2014 the card which [redacted] provided was charged $39.80 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide her a refund of 3 monthly charges totaling $116.40. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $116.40 as of November 17, 2014.
We trust this addresses any concerns you may have.
