(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We dispute signing up for 2 different services. At no point do we recall registering for separate services that provide the same service and charge over 35 dollars for what we needed which was just 1 resume. We also can not find any confirmation emails of those services or statements of charges. When I we cancelled the service we were given 3 different cancellation numbers one of which we never knew about.

Although I am not out any money, the $4.80 was refunded per the response, I called my credit card company and disputed the $4.80 before this response. The fact remains that there are over 200 complaints, a business does not get that many by being truthful and transparent. Your " membership" is a trap that should not be there regardless. That it is there shows that you are sneaky and play underhanded. I'm fortunate in that I have a job. You however prey on those who are down and out, which I find despicable. It is also rather despicable that you send calls to India to be delt with. I will make sure me and family and friends never give you any business.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/08/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I am still of the belief that this company is deceptive in the way it advertises " free" when in fact it is not "free" I will reluctantly accept this settlement but still believe this company's business practices and deception border criminal. They have a pattern of Revdex.com complaints and ' settlements" this company still comes out ahead of the game seemingly resolving complaints and still profiting from providing no services. If this was a larger amount and time warranted I would sue. I feel certain that a class action lawsuit is in their future.

Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted]. We have reviewed our files and our records show that [redacted] signed up for our Resume Builder services on May 18, 2015. The copy online clearly provided [redacted] with a...

choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for 14 day full access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $39.80 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on June 2, 2015 to our monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on June 2, 2015 to our recurring monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on June 2, 2015 [redacted]'s card was charged $39.80 for the applicable month of service. The product created, a resume, was credited under her name.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide him a refund of 2 monthly charges totaling $79.60. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $79.60 as of August 11, 2015.
We trust this addresses any concerns you may have.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/01/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This company is misleading in their tactics. Yes I did sign up for a trial period for $2 my issue with this company is that I was supposed to be able to create a cover letter for FREE. When I attempted to create my cover letter I was re-directed to another page from THEIR website which then asks for your credit card information a second time. The ONLY reason I submitted my credit card information again because I thought maybe it did not go through the first time. That is my complaint because unbeknownst I was at that time enrolled into another trial period that I was unaware of and that is why my card was charged $35.80 it had nothing to do with the original purchase which I was in fact aware of the 14 day period so this company needs to address its sneaky tactics of double charging customers and redirecting them to their "other" website !!!!

I feel that they should be clear and concise with how they do business and should not have a secondary site attached to their main webpage
