Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2014/06/04) */
Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted].[redacted]. We have reviewed our files and our records show that [redacted] signed up for our My Perfect Resume services on March 14, 2014. The copy online clearly...

provided [redacted] with a choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for 14 day full access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $34.95 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on March 29, 2014 to our monthly service at $34.95 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on March 29, 2014 to our recurring monthly service at $34.95 per month.'' Accordingly, on March 29, 2014 the card which [redacted] provided was charged $34.95 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer is willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide her a refund of 2 monthly charges totaling $69.90. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $69.90 on June 4, 2014.
We trust this addresses any concerns you may have.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/08/28) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I accept the response based on the fact that Live Career has refunded back the money they charged. Nevertheless their claim of mentioning the charges explicitly in the email sent by them is absolutely false. I have all the mails from them so far and in none of them was the auto renewal mentioned. Not even after the first payment. Their claims are false and I would strongly suggest users discretion in getting any service from this site.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 10, 2015/08/31) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Although the business is correct in restating their business practice, the issue was never concerning the policy which they have put in place. The complaint, which has been resolved, was their denial of the possibility to refund some or all of the product cost upon cancellation. The online representative repeatedly denied that a refund was even a possibility and that has clearly been shown to be incorrect. The representative had also refused to offer a supervisor's availability for resolution and had closed the interaction despite my request for resolution. They have covered their practice from a legal point of view, but the practice of denying partial or full refunds is a clear attempt to profit from an otherwise unnecessary subscription. To function as a business, they have covered their ground. To function as a better business, there is much to be desired. Thank you to the Revdex.com for your assistance in following up on the company's unfortunate practices.

Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted]. We have reviewed our files using the email address [redacted] provided in his complaint, and our records show that [redacted] used our Resume-Now services on...

February 5, 2015.
After asking for a name and email address, Resume-Now gives each user the option to upload an existing resume and/or choose a template to use in the creation of a new resume. After proceeding through these first two steps, the user comes to a page saying "Congratulations! You now have access to all of our free services." On this page, the offer clearly and conspicuously lists what services are included for free. These include being able to "create an unlimited number of resumes and cover letters," having "access to thousands of expert-written resume examples," and being able to "download the .txt version of your resume" and "share your resume with potential employers on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter". [redacted] chose to click Continue at the bottom of this page and begin creating a resume. Accordingly, upon completion of his resume, [redacted] was given the opportunity to either chose one of the options listed above, or pay to upgrade for instant access to our premium features.
We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience experienced by Mr. [redacted]. We value our customers here at LiveCareer and want out site to be as clear and consumer friendly as possible.

duplicate charge refunded.
Additionally, although our service charges are non-refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make and exception for [redacted] and provide her a refund of the cost of the Resume Writing Service in the amount of $85.00. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the additional amount of $85.00 on February 25, 2015.
We trust this addresses any concerns you may have.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/03/12) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Thank you for the apology but the duplicate charges still have not been resolved. LiveCareer still owes me $75 of the total $320 I was charged. I have given up on trying to explain the situation over the phone because no one will listen to me, and the last time I called I was spoken to rudely and put on hold for 10 minutes. Everyone I've spoken to says that the second refund of $75 has processed but that was over two weeks ago and I've yet to see anything.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2015/04/06) */
Thank you again for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from Ms. [redacted]. Upon checking Ms. [redacted]'s account again, it was verified that all charges for the resume writing service have been refunded. The dates of the refunds are as follows:
February 23, 2015: $85.00
February 23, 2015: $85.00
February 25, 2015: $75.00
February 25, 2015: $75.00
We also checked with our credit card processor and they verified that all charges have been successfully refunded. As the refund payment has already been processed and paid, we cannot cancel it and re-process it. Therefore, there is nothing further that we can do. We trust this concludes this matter.
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 16, 2015/04/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I'm sick of arguing with this company over a $75.00 charge I was NEVER reimbursed for. I will accept the resolution but only because it's going on a month of their lies. Will never recommend this company to anyone! They're terrible. They need to figure out their software problems ASAP so they don't continue STEALING from their customers.

choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for 14 day full access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $35.80 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on August 8, 2015 to our monthly service at $35.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on August 8, 2015 to our recurring monthly service at $35.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on August 8, 2015 [redacted]'s card was charged $35.80 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide a refund of 1 monthly charge totaling $35.80. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $35.80 as of August 10, 2015.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/01/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
That is all incorrect, I wished someone from the Revdex.com office can sign up and see how misleading this site is. It did say how to cancel before the 25th the same say I signed up I sent an email to your company which was provided on the same page of the agreement on how to cancel. I emailed THREE TIMES even after you guys charges my account and I never received a response from this company. I still my my proof of email whe I initially sent and email to cancel and they did not cancel they still charged me. Bottom line, this company is fraud.
