Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/10/16) */
Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted] Landon. We have reviewed our files and our records show that [redacted] signed up for our Resume Builder services on August 26, 2015. The copy online clearly provided [redacted] with...

a choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for 14 day full access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $39.80 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on September 10, 2015 to our monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on September 10, 2015 to our recurring monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on September 10, 2015 [redacted]'s card was charged $39.80 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide him a refund of 1 monthly charge totaling $39.80. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $39.80 as of October 8, 2015.
We trust this addresses any concerns you may have.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/10/20) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
LiveCareer's response does not address the root of my issue - continuing to be billed after cancelling my account. Their response clearly outlines and defends their deceptive and entrapping business practice. Which I fell victim to, but to their point is my fault by not fully reading the fine print. What their response does not acknowledge is that they continued to bill for a second month of service after I canceled my account. Bottom-line I do feel this response is inadequate, however I have received resolution through my credit card company and require no further action from the Revdex.com (which by the way I am impressed with).

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2016/04/06) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The company has finally issued a refund. Only took my credit card company investigating them and this claim with Revdex.com to make it happen. MyPerfectResume is a complete sham.

I'm forced to agree since I've lost my archived emails. Those would have shown that the wording was NOT conspicuous as claimed by LiveCareer. One had to follow the link to their account page to see charges.
I will never recommend the website to others.

Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted] (“[redacted]”). We have reviewed our files and our records show that [redacted] signed up to our My Perfect Resume portal in June 16, 2017.  To create an account on our website, [redacted]...

had to agree to our Terms of Use (“ToU”).

As stated in our ToU agreed upon by all of our clients before creating an account, after the $2.95 14-day trial, a monthly charge of $24.95 is added to the account (if the subscription has not been cancelled).  They are also not refundable.  However, we value our customers here at Bold and want to do all that we can to resolve any issues they may have.  As such, on March 15 and 16, 2018 our dedicated Customer Service team processed two (2) refunds for $24.95 each.  As of now, [redacted]’s account is cancelled and she will not be billed again in the future.  Please allow 3-5 days for these refunds to fully process.

We trust this resolves this issue.

rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on February 4, 2015 to our monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming his access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on February 4,, 2015 to our recurring monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on February 4, the card which [redacted] provided, was charged $39.80 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide a refund of 3 monthly charges totaling $119.40. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $119.40 on April 6, 2015.
