[redacted] with a choice of full access for 14 days at a discounted rate, which automatically renews to monthly access for a monthly fee, or an annual subscription that is pro-rated at a lower rate per month but which is paid upfront for access to the services all year long. [redacted] chose to accept our offer for 14 day full access, which automatically renews monthly. On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $39.80 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on August 24, 2015 to our monthly service at $39.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Yes, I accept my refund ~ as that is what I was asking for.
But I don't appreciate them calling me a him in the response or stating that I didn't contact them on time. As I did per what their representatives told me that is all I could have done.
THanks you for your help

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2015/06/30) */
Thank you for all your assistance. I had requested a resolution from them on 5 month refunded and after Revdex.com contacted them, they did comply with my requested resolution. I am content to have the file closed but their response states that it was clear that I would be charged a monthly fee but I strongly believe that it was not clear on their web site that I was being committed to an overpriced service. I am one of many complaints against this company for misleading information on their website and others around the world have been affected in the same way as I. I am pleased that with the Revdex.com assistance I was able to have my middle ground offer accepted. Thank you, [redacted]

Thank you. They have resolved my issue. I think that you should be aware that when you sign up on my resume, at the very end it said if you are interested in joining a membership. If you decline, they still put you on it but don't tell you until you look at your receipt, in little words, of course(I looked after this incident). It's just deceiving. You click no and they still put you some monthly membership. Thank you for your time and help.

I did not sign up for this service therefore I expect a full refund of the $180.95. The information was not clear and I never received emails notifying me of this charge/service until I called them about the unapproved charges on July 9.

I only signed up for one time use, not a subscription. I will accept this when the entire amount has been refunded. To date, no money except one $35.80 has posted to my checking account.

Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this complaint from [redacted]. We have reviewed our files and our records show that [redacted] signed up for our Resume Builder services on February 21, 2016. The copy online clearly provided...
On the page where [redacted] made that selection, immediately adjacent to the choice of subscriptions, the offer clearly and conspicuously states that the 14 day premium access ''automatically renews at $35.80 per month on the 15th day''. In addition, on the purchase confirmation page it is also clearly disclosed that this subscription will ''begin immediately and renew on March 7, 2016 to our monthly service at $35.80 per month.'' This page also provides information on how [redacted] could cancel before this monthly charge. Finally, [redacted] was also sent an email to the email address provided to us on the same day confirming [redacted]'s access to our services and reiterating one more time that ''Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically on March 7, 2016 to our recurring monthly service at $35.80 per month.'' Accordingly, on March 7, 2016 [redacted]'s card was charged $35.80 for the applicable month of service.
Although our monthly charges are not refundable, LiveCareer was willing to make an exception for [redacted] and provide her a refund of 1 monthly charge totaling $35.80. Our customer service team refunded [redacted] the amount of $35.80 as of March 22, 2016.
We trust this addresses any concerns you may have.

I appreciate that refund, so thank you. It would have been appropriate and good business practices if a customer service agent could have nicely reversed the charge the day I called and explained the confusion. I'm sure it's possible they could see I only used it that one day and never went on line again as I stated. I called the day after the charge was posted so was obviously not trying to get something for free. I never did get their product to download correctly either. I still stand by my comment that their policy is not clear or obvious. There were 17 other complaints about them as well as mine, so I'm not the only one. I have a master's degree and am fairly wise to these things and did not notice the screens they speak of. I suggest if they want to run a good business they work on improving the product, making the customer more aware of thier commitment, and work with customer service agents to have the authority to reverse charges in situations like mine.
