I am being ripped off by WOW cableAround April 20th I was told that my bill was so high because it had went up and that the promotion I was on had expiredI spent the next three weeks trying to get this issue resolved I left several messages for the corporate office, but to no avail finally one day last week I was transferred to the retention department where a young man told me that the promotion was not up it was a two-year promotion not a one-year promotionObviously there is a discrepancy here, either way when I signed up a year ago I wasn't told that I was on a promotion be it one year or twoThis young man also offered to increase my bill by three dollars as opposed to the $that they were trying to add to my be a monthlyMeaning over the past year I have paid $and some change for my Internet service that includes taxes and fees but now after having my service for one year they trying to increase my billAt any rate I called back and spoke with the supervisor last wee

just before dec I drove across town and turned in my equipment to wow cableat that office, they told me, that wow owed me a rebateI have received over due letters, and threatening letters and phone calls from said companyI have talked to them on many occasionsthey agreed that they was in the wrong, and said, it would be handled, and pay me, what was due methey sent it to a collection agencysaid they was going to attach it to my credit report the recovery agents, said they were mislead, and sent it back to wow this is out of hand they owe me money, with interest

Called to cancel service June 29th
Was told at that time of new promotion to keep me as a customer
This plan, even after asking several times, and confirming my bill would be X amount of dollars, I agreed to stay as a customer and accept the 2-year agreement
First bill arrived, and dollars over said price
I called in to complain and was told my bill is correct
I then told them to reverse my account back to its previous status They said they would since I was within my day periodI also inquired at that time about ending service
WOW took that statement as I was ending service immediately so they took it upon themselves not to undo the changes to the account

Today, August 15th, I received another incorrect bill due to the fact they did not undo the changes to the account I was told I cannot cancel service without an early termination fee I reminded them, and they have it documented, my request to undo changes

I have disputed charges, they credited my account and I paid remaining balance in full and they still have submitted money owed to collections my credit reportI called to discuss the issue and was conveniently disconnected timesI then get told that the collections department has to update records before the issue can be resolvedI call the collections department and they tell me it's WOW that needs to update the issueI waited a month and now I have another amount added to my credit report along with the other amountI have reference numbers, case numbers and lots of names and even extensions but still have gotten nothingI am being told it can take 3-months for this to get resolvedUNEXCEPTABLE!

I purchased the internet speed from them in December and it is now mid March and I am still not getting what I paid for but my bill have doubled
I called customer service many, many times but they do not help and the last one hung up on me

I have called many times to get a updated detailed bill for all the performance issue I have had with the internet service and would like to see about canceling my service

On April 27th I called to pay bill automated system stated to restore services pay $That is the amount I paidOn May 3rd I called because I was unable to order pay per viewI spoke with a representative who stated my services needed a restartThe restart didn't change anything so she said it was an outage and to try again laterShe NEVER mentioned once that my services were disconnectedOn May 4th I called because one of my channels wouldn't work I was told that my services were disconnected and that I would have to pay additional $to restore servicesI declined at the time ask for a corporate number they stated it was no corporate number and I would have to go to an office I called back to minutes later to pay the $and was told I would have to pay the $and take the equipment back to an office and get new equipment

I work for a VoIP provider and work from my homeI am tasked to work with certain vendors on equipmentOne of the vendors, ***, I am not able to access their website using the provided gatewayI have called into customer service mutiple times over two weeks and the problem has not fixed itselfI have changed all the settings around inside the gateway and my home equipment with no such luckI purchased a standalone modem and had WOW provison the modem and I was able to access the siteI used a VPN and was able to access the site but if I used the provided equipment, I was not able to access ***.com
When I tried to ask if I could use my own cable modem, I was told either: a)I would have to downgrade my service to a different equipment package or b) upgrade my speed to allow a tech to come onsite to change the gateway to a set top box
I like the services I have and down want to downgrade or upgrade for me to be able to access what I need for work! This has been an issu

Bill hike with no correspondenceI called and spoke to a supervisor and he said in order to fix anything on my account the past due had to be paid 1st before any corrective actions can performed

I called Wow to cancel my service due to rate increases Wow then sent me to loyalty dept who then promised to lower my rate as long as I agreed to year in service I agreed to year contract and the next month my rate doubled when I called to inquire I was told they could not help me because the rate that was promised did not exsist and if I did not want my service interrupted, I would need to pay the doubled rate Wow tricked me into staying with their company and service They also provided me with case numbers to resolve the issues that are useless!

I signed up for WOW 30MG on Friday, signing onto an absurdly onerous one-year contract stipulating that I pay a monthly penalty of $if I cancel early My internet service is significantly less than what I'm paying for, which I note is priced at $a month higher than what is advertised In addition, they keep trying to sell me a $5/month additional "protection plan" and I keep explaining to them that I shouldn't be obliged to pay an addition fee over what I'm paying to get what I'm paying for I order a technician to come and fix the internet, which they do not do, and then they tell me that if I don't sign on for this extortion, I will have to pay $for their time on some nonsense travel toll I sign up for an ADDITIONAL $5/month for three months, the minimum necessary to prevent me from incurring their "fee" for pretending to provide me the service I am paying for anyway How is this legal? If I pay you for internet, at nearly 50% over the rate advertised, how am I then responsible to pay you an additional fee when there are problems? That is your end of the contract, not mine

Over a month ago, I scheduled for Wow! to install service in my new homeI work from home, and so the timing of this install is crucialI scheduled for them to install on June 9th, between 11am and 1pmI requested a minute call aheadSince I am freshly moved in and busy doing things in the yard, basement, and garageThey insisted this was standard practice and would be no problem

I recently moved and tried to transfer my WOW internet service to my new address I found out that it wasn't available in my new city and the WOW customer service representative said that the early termination fee would be waived because I did try to keep my service I spoke to WOW again a month later because they had not stopped my service yet - and they told me that I would be receiving a $credit to my account Neither of the representatives that I spoke with said anything about a cancellation fee Two months later I received a $bill for cancelling early even though I was told I would not be charged I talked to WOW customer service and they said that there is nothing they can do and don't know why I was told information

They NEVER send me my bill - I only find out how much I owe when they send the disconnect notice, and its a radically different amount and due date each timeI can only assume theyre adding late charges but I don't have the actual invoices to even know
The plan I have is supposed to be $25/month for the first months So, the first payment I guessed the due date, and paid $50, got a disconnect notice anyway asking for an additional $40, which I paid then again, and again, differing amounts each time One month they'll say I owe $and have days to pay it or be disconnected, the next $45, the next $20, etc
Now I got one that says I have until tomorrow (a sunday..) to pay $90-some dollarsThis is getting absurd I pay what the disconnect notice says to pay each month, that amount grows each month
I've asked them repeatedly to starting sending me billing statements, and they keep saying they will, but end up not doing it I won't have $to pay them
