This is a violation of privacy
Since July 2017, I have made phone calls and written two letters to WOW Cable Company, asking them to remove my name and address from their mailing list As of today, I am still getting WOW marketing material in my mailbox
Wow’s Customer Service has filled out and submitted multiple forms and on my behalf and giving me assurance the mailings will cease Customer Service cannot give me a corporate phone number or a phone number to their marketing director The only additional help they offer is writing a letter to a PO Box

I discontinued service with WOW! in October I received multiple bills from WOW! for outstanding equipment starting in December then ending in February Each time that I received a bill I called WOW! and they told me that there was a mistake and that my account balance would be corrected to $Subsequently I received a letter in March from *** *** *** stating that I owe WOW! for my outstanding balance of approximately$The day that I received the debt collection notice I called *** as well as WOW! to dispute the charges
I talked to multiple people at WOW spanning from December to the current day 4/20/2017!One of which (in March 2017) confirmed through internal (WOW!) telephone recordings that in February 2017, a WOW! call center employee told me that my account was at a $balance
I found the equipment that I owed WOW! and shipped it back to them after they told me for a 3rd time that my account was at a $balance
I talked to WOW! to

their wi fi and inter net is awfulthey try to over charge by adding late fees before bill is even due to your next months billThey say they credit account for late fees they should not have charged and don't do the credit

Wow is attempting to charge me $for calling in to report my cable and Internet services were down They said I cancelled the tech visit My services came back before the tech showed up to the house so I called and cancelled How is that wrong...what else should I have done Beyond the $they should also be refunding the charges from the days in the last year when my services were down Also I called into WOW several days ago and they said they were refunding the $ They did not and it is still on my bill plus late charges

I would pick literally anyone else, if you have a choice I just filled out my final customer service survey with them as I am closing my account with themfinally! I am so happy to dump these folks It all started with moving into our house years ago, and it has been nothing but hassle since then The first thing that came up was signing up for service You MUST call and talk to someone in person to discuss packages For visual people, this is not so good as the sales guy will talk you around in circles, not giving you any solid ground to stand on By the end of the sales call, your perception will be "what the heck just happened?"
Then comes the install Had the DirecTV guy out first He did some cable cutting in our house to wire things up (because our it builder wired the house only for cable, and our central box was packed tight with cables) The cut cables somehow confused the heck out of the WOW! installer He couldn't make heads or tails of the cables in our attic or inside cable box, so he proceeded to write in all-caps, with a Sharpie, on our closet wall "DIRECTV GUY CUT THE CABLES!" That ticked me offfirst that he couldn't figure it out, then that he tried to blame someone else, and finally that he defaced my houseMoving on to the cable from the street It sat on our front yard, unburied for a month We had to call, and call, and call for a month to get them to come out and bury it Each phone call took about an hour each to go through their phone tree, and finally reach someone who was of absolutely no help whatsoever They finally buried the cable and reimbursed our installation fee, which was a whopping $or something due to the special new customer discount They wouldn't provide us any other financial relief for our inconvenienceFast forward a year or so, the cable modem is giving out Call many, many times to get them to fix it, but they wouldn't "Just hit the reset button on the back." Did this for a year before they finally came out and replaced the modem "Yeah They go bad after awhile and we just have to replace them." Could have done that when I started having problemsA couple of years later, they "upgrade" the speed on their service from 30Mbps down / 2Mbps up to 50Mbps down / 3Mbps So now they are charging me somewhere in the neighborhood of $60/mo (highway robbery) for this, but the speed I tested it out as was nowhere near that I ask what gives, they didn't even tell me that I was getting upgraded (which would have been useful information to have) The WOW! representative said that I needed a DOCSIS compliant modem, which I didn't have and they would not be providing without the customer asking for it I asked to get their new modem and they wanted to charge $or so to send someone out to replace my modemand an ongoing $5/mo for the rental I said no way, went and got my new modem (lease free), and installed it myself Asked WOW! what to do with the old modem, thinking I could just throw it out, ship it back, or have a tech come and pick it up Nothey wanted me to deliver it to their office which is minutes away from me, on a weekday, during business hours or they were going to charge me $5/month until I did So I have to take time off of work to drive down there with this obsolete modem and hand it back to someone Well, I did And waited half an hour in the office for a rude, surly woman to stare me down and take minutes to produce a receipt for this piece of junk modem Then when I hand the thing back to her, she chucks it in the TRASH, in FRONT OF ME! I could have done that!
I loved filling out my final customer survey today It started off with a "sincere" letter from their director of customer service who is a "Family Man, Man of Faith, insert all-around good guy anecdote here" I shared all the stuff in the review above WOW! has horrible customer service, poor connection, slow speeds, high cost Go with anyone else you can

Wow on demand is below averageAlways taking off tv station when ever they feel like itThey do not have FOX on demandI am forced to have this below average service due to being in a apartment complex that has a contract with wow and I can not change to a better serviceWhat happened to my rights? Please not they are less than one star, but the site will not let you submit with at least a starI am one who does not normally take the time to write any comments and/or reviews, because I believe companies should know if their service is good or bad It is not the customer’s responsibility for them to know that However, the WOW Cable service that I received on January 22, has me so appalled I just can’t help but to right a review It is different when you don’t receive good service such as; a long delays when you call, or lack of response, and even some billing errors When a company insults your intelligence and belittle your understanding of the English language that’s taking things too far I have included their advertisement in my review I noticed that they were offering a significantly lower rate for Internet service for new customer than for existing customer The rate they are offering new customers is $39,dollars a month for a month contract and commitmentThey are trying to convince new customer that they are getting a bargain by comparing the rates of $a month versus $per month for Mbsp Internet service I know this is a tactic to increase business and usually the lower rate, or incentive is tied to some greater responsibility on new customers than existing customers As outlined in red their ad stated “$per month for months and requires a 2-yr service plan agreementAfter months, rate increases to regular rate (currently $per month)Pricing subject to change.”
I noticed what they were advertising as the regular current rate was significantly lower than what I was paying; I am paying $for 30Mbsp In addition the level of service I was receiving ( Internet speed) was about a third of what they were advertising as the regular current monthly rate I called customer service and asked who was receiving and paying the regular current monthly rate of $ Because assuredly a loyal and faithful customer as myself could receive that rate That’s when the jostling and back and forth began The first customer service representative, Levert tired to convince me that the $was only for new customers I agreed with him that the month commitment was for new customer, but you stated in your add that their was a regular current rate of $ He continued to just read off a script never once addressing the issue that a current customer who had been with the company for over years could not get a straight answer about who was paying the as printed regular current monthly rate He then transferred me to someone else, her name was Leslie Once again she began to read off a script, even at one time she tried to up sell me by offering me a higher Internet speed (not even the Mbsp, but Mbsp) for more than I was currently paying, and trying to convince me that that was a bargain when clearly they were advertising that they have a rate structure that exist which is far lower, almost $lower The rate they are trying to convince new customer is currently $per monthly for Mbsp Why would you advertise a rate structure when clearly existing customer would learn about this As Leslie continued to try and convince me that I was reading things all wrong and that I didn’t understand what currently meant She continued stating that the current monthly rate that new customers would be paying without the month commitment would be $a month after their months were over I said okay if that is the case why is that not mentioned in the ad The ad clearly stated that rate was the current monthly rate, I have always thought current meant now Webster defines currently as “the present time”, which I believe means now She continued to state that I did not understand the offer was for new customer Again I continued to state I did not question the new customer part, but I am questioning what you have printed as a current monthly rate Then the discussion turned to the meaning of currently, that’s when I had enough Leslie went on and on often interrupting me before I had completed my sentence, and as human nature goes this only leads to an escalation of volume The final straw was when Leslie accused mean of yelling at her and what she was not going to tolerate, so I hung up I guess WOW never heard that the customer is right, and accusing customers, questioning their intelligence and out right demeaning them is excellent customer service When it really came down to it we were talking about a $difference in price A price that they had clearly advertised as an existing price So I guess WOW would go to all of that length to demean, insult, and berate a customer for $ I can’t imagine what they would do if there was more money involved I clearly see how WOW values their existing and loyal customers By, By WOW and yes I will be telling everyone about the SUPERB customer service I received (NOT)I have since read other negative reviews so I guess this is par for the course, business as usual I am happy that we now have so many more choices such as; other cable companies and even cell phones with hotspots with unlimited data If cable companies such as WOW doesn’t get their act together they will go the way of the VHS tapes, irrelevant and obsoleteVERY, VERY, Agitated and Perturbed

I bought a internet package back in September In February we started to have issues with our internet After a few calls of technical support suggesting we just reset the modem/router and still having issues they agreed to replace the equipment at the end of February We had great service for about a month or so Then just like before starting to have issues with the internet Sometimes it would run but be extremely slow, and others it just wouldn't work at all until we disconnected from the internet and started using cellular data again I go to school from home as well as soon will be working from home, having a trustworthy internet is a MUST After having more issues last night I decided to call customer service once again I was told to go into the store and then when I got to the store this morning they told me that I need to call customer service I was told by the rep in the store this morning that " People have to replace modem/routers all the time why don't you

On 12/24/our converter box through WOW Cable went out I called WOW to report it, due to it being Christmas Eve I did not want to ruin someone's holiday by having them come to the house I asked if there was a way a new one could be mailed to my home, and the WOW representative said yes By 1/6/16, I still had not received the new converter box, I contacted WOW again, and was told one was on it's way to us

The tree trimming crew told my wife they had mailed us noticeWe did not receive it and mailing me notice does oblige you to come into my fenced off yard, cut my trees and leave the tree trimmings on my lawn
Upon calling to complain, I was informed that someone would call me back within hours; however, the tree trimmings are still sitting on my front lawn killing my grass

After the technician appointment, I kept both services for a short timeIt was during this time that I noticed my next bill had the technician appointment on itSince this appointment was supposed to be free and was suggested by the company, I called to investigate, complain, and ultimately cancel my account

we had originally signed with the company about yrs ago with their total package dealthe internet was set at 15/speedwe then tried switched to 60/speed this year, they then tried to switch it to that speed, however the service wasn't available in my area at that timeso they placed me back on the 30/speed/ tier three, after witch our bill spiked up a monththey have been billing us for 60/speed ever since we first applied for it even though it was only at 30/speedthis the first month that we actually have itand it still changes to speed instead of staying at the required speedsometimes it's and other times or somewhere in between

I have had WOW Internet for 3-years and over the years, we have had numerous issues that do not meet their speeds they are to provide based on the invoice I am to get a download speed of 30mbps for $30/month and the speeds are less than half I explained that I was going to find another provider and they stated there was a verbal agreement that I entered over the phone and when asked to provide documentation and/or the terms that I agreed to, WOW stated they didn't have anything to provide me I would like proof of this agreement that I entered and I would like a refund for the lack of speeds WOW failed to provide

Wow billed me for months after I discontinued serviceWhen I contacted them, their representative told me that my balance would be adjusted and I did would not have a balance on the accountI asked for something in writing and was told they were not able to provide this, but that I would not have a billI attempted to log on to my Wow account and it had been deleted, however, unbeknownst to me the balance was not adjusted until April This supposedly left a $balance on my account, which I was not billed fo or informed of, and in May was reported on my creditIf they adjusted the three months that they charged me on April and reported to my credit in May, why was no corrected bill sent and no way to log into an account that was deleted on April I contacted Wow again and was told by Ryan Smith that "you should not be paying" and that they had submitted my account to a different department for adjustment (case #***) and I would have a zero balance and it would be rem

On the 1st week in septa wow technician came to my home and cut my internet cable that I have with *** leaving me without internet service I spoke with wow customer service several times concerning this problem I was told the problem would be resolved as of SeptI have not heard from them the cable line they rewired is laying exposed on the ground
