Do NOT get their phone serviceYou will be inundated with robocalls, spoofed numbers and other scammers harassing you in your homeOther providers are blocking these kinds of calls using an FCC approved system called Nomorobo but WOW refuses to do so

After extensive internet issues, including down time for over a month, dozens of phone calls to the help line, and four different technicians coming to our home and taking up hours of our time, WOW is now charging us rental fees for the replacement modem we received during their attempts to fix the issuesWe were told at the time of our initial installation that as part of our promotion, we would not receive the $modem rental feeWOW has now added that to our account effective the date our modem was replaced, in direct contradiction of previous conversations with employees
When I requested they provide us with a pre-paid box to return the modem or a pick-up, as well as removal of these charges (which were made without prior notice to us), WOW customer service employees Liz and Travis told us we would be charged $for a pick-up, or $for a pre-paid boxThey then suggested that we could drop it off at the nearest service location, which is miles away from our home

I have been charged for cabel box that I have never had since When I discovered the billing error I was given a credit of $ The company did show their error and it has been stated that this cabel box has never been active No active signals

We signed up for WOW internet service on 8/9/via a door-to-door representativeWe signed up for a two year contractWe let the representative know that we would be moving soon, locally, within a 5-mile radiusHe stated that service was available in the 5-mile radius and there would not be an early termination fee as long as we signed up for WOW service when we movedWe moved in May of 2018, miles westWhen I tried to transfer the WOW service to my new address, I was told that service was not available at my new addressI had no choice but to cancel, since the service was not availableI received my final bill, which did not include any early termination feesA few weeks later, I received a bill for $early termination feeI called the customer service number several times, and was told that I needed to visit the corporate office in Naperville, on Frontenac drI visited the office in person on 5/25/and spoke with ***, who confirmed that I should not have receive

I've only had WOW for about a year They have had to come to my house times because their equipment keeps breaking They want to charge me $to which I tell them i'm not paying They also just jacked up my rate after I was told my bill would not go up My rate went up by $ I have tvs hooked up and one of their boxes stopped working So instead of sending me a new box they want me to driver minutes out of my way to Berea to get a new box or charge me $to have someone come and deliver one to me I've had it with their unprofessional people and service

We moved from *** to WOWWow promised us that they will finish everything by the date of our business opening date, but failed, and we had to use *** for temporal internet and phone accessWow AGAIN promised us that they will do reimbursement of 50% of the *** internet and phone fee that was occurred due to WOW's faultThat was months ago, they're avoiding our phone, email, and everythingWe can't even talk to them now, and we're planning to sue them

On June 15th my internet service was interrupted due to non-payment on my part (unknowningly)I contacted WOW! and they stated I was behind on payment since January In checked my bills and they all stated that auto-payment was processedSo I spoke to the the next level customer service and was told they will lift the requirement for me to deliver a cash paymentThe next day I received another phone call saying they were unable to lift the cash payment requirementMy issues are that they stated they could resolve the problem and didn'tThe admitted that there was an error with billing and I was never notified until June The letter they sent was dated June I will be sending a check for the $they say I am past due but that does not equate to what the reps are telling me and the auto pay call inI need a bill for the correct amount and they haven't been able to provide that informationAny other service company I have auto payment set up notify me imm

In July I contacted our local (Ohio) underground utilities identification service and had all the utilities marked (per law) prior to installing a fence An unmarked cable was cut during the digging I immediately contacted the underground utilities identification service (O.U.P.S.) and filed a notice of cutting an unmarked cable O.U.P.S came out to the property and confirmed that a cable was not marked and was cut All utility & cable companies were contacted (including Wide Open West) about he cut line Wide Open West did not respond to the notification
In July 2018, Wide Open West installs a above-ground (temporary) cable on my property and sends a bill for $3,stating that I am responsible for the cut cable line
I followed all state laws and it was confirmed the cable that was cut was NOT marked prior to digging Wide Open West has refused to discuss this matter and has ignored the letters I sent to resolve the issue

WOW is quite possibly an even worse ISP than *** For the past four months during peak hours in the evenings from approx 1930-2300, we would lose signal or it would be so slow that we could barely get a page to load in five minutes (can you say dial-up) and we had their second fastest available service in our area I called numerous times and reported this issue WOW sent out several different technicians On or about the fifth one, we actually got an intelligent technician and she did her job correctly and identified the problem The junction box at street side was getting a tremendous amount of back feed She said that they would have to bring a team out and investigate if it was at the box or further down the line Guess what...never happened...the next couple technicians that came out didn't even turn their equipment on when they came out and hooked it up, and it was never during peak hours to verify the issue...all of the sudden their answer was "it must be your modem (

I order internet service through this company in August of requesting installation date of 09/01/They informed me that I had to make a deposit of $in order to secure the serviceI proceeded to pay and installation was scheduledThe technician came to my location on the 1st of September as requested but installed the incorrect modem and didn't fully set my account up with themafter installation he requested that I sign work orderA couple hours after the tech left I notice that I was unable to stream with multiple devices as I was promised by the sales rep who assisted me with my orderI then proceeded to call tech back and he stated he will be back out the next dayWell tech never came out and proceeded to call again and promises were made to come out but never did so after days went by I called into the office and spoke with someone who scheduled a 2nd appointment for a tech to come2nd technician came out and notice right away that I was installed with the wr

I was billed two times one I manually made because I accidentally enrolled into the auto pay but the confirmation told me that I needed to still make my payment manually so I did which my payment was a current balance which it was showing pass due but my bill was due on the of Jan so I make the payment and my account showed balance due at that timewoke up this morning to an a charge that was in curried from the 3rd when I called to ask what it was the customer service rep says that it was saying it was a passed due amount and it wasn't so they sneaked and gave a dollar credit but that isn't enoughwe told them like two months ago that we wanted to lower the bill that is why it was then today they say we owed that is a liemy bill has been outrageous this whole time they talking about they cant lower our bill and we on the lowest planthat is a lie too!

Sales Order was for media players and digital adapter - for a total of TVs
During install, technician only brought media player and digital adapter
Technician placed "order" for another media player during install and hooked 3rd tv up to coaxial cable stating that TV will still receive channelsTechnician also stated that *** was not supposed to tell me that
So, as of first install - one tv had media player, one tv had digital adapter, one tv was connected directly to coaxial cable
I logged in online after install and noticed that WOW website listed account as having two digital adapters
I immediately called sales rep *** *** *** and informed him of errorI also stated that we did not have digital adapter with the following serial number - ***I also informed him of the error with install - that technician only brought one media player instead of two
*** *** stated that he would take care of the issue
Next day, technician

Account
Our bill is consistently incorrect and inflated We have called times (see below for specifics), each time speaking to someone in retention who promises to have corrected future bills This month we received another falsely inflated bill Each time either myself or my husband calls, it is at least an hour on the phone, which is precious time away from our family as we all work outside the home and only have a couple hours with our family at night This month we are paying the corrected amount, and marking on the bill that we have filed a complaint with the Revdex.com for billing practices
1) 12/15/14, 7:30pm, spoke with *** Corrected bill from $to $
2) 2/15/15, 10pm, spoke with *** Corrected bill from $to $(which was not correct), and promised additional $off each subsequent month for our trouble
3) 3/16/15, 9pm, spoke with *** Corrected bill from $to "approx $101+ taxes" due to our billing issues P

WOW billed our family two months after our service was disconnected for an early termination fee of $ We supplied a copy of our military orders at their office with the return of the equipment in late June I had to call the company and explain that service had been provided for the past years and resupplied them with another set of orders before they would reverse the early termination feeBad business practice!

My WOW account: ***:
On May 5/23/I purchased a *** *** because my video feeds are horrible at home; from *** *** for $I connected it called my ISP(WOW) to provide them with the MAC address to bring it onlineThat was successful, when I logged in the *** ***’s modem/routers page I see that the firmware version is V1.01.15; there is NO way to update the firmware from the modem/routers webpageI went to *** website; registered the new modem/router and saw that my modem/router is supposed to have firmware version Vin order to operate properly with my ISP(WOW)Since connecting the new modem/router I’ve tested the video feed and it as bad as it was with my old modem/routerThe firmware needs to be upgraded!
If your firmware is outdated, you cannot manually upgrade your cable modem’s or modem router’s firmwareYou must contact your Internet service provider (ISP) to upgrade your firmware
The following table displays the latest firm

Consumer is years old and elderlyShe lives in Florida for four months of the year and has always been able to put her cable/tv/phone on "seasonal"When *** contacted WOW to put her service on seasonal in November, 2017, she was told that she signed a contract and therefore, could not utilize the seasonal optionWOW does not have proof of said contract, as this has been requested numerous timesConsumer is elderly and would not contact them to change anything on her service - EXCEPT to go seasonal
Where going "seasonal" has previously been free, she was informed that she would have to pay $due to the contract

I had TV cable and internet service from Wow, beginning November In November, 2016, my bill was raised approximately $16/mo When I called to enquire, I was told that my one-year rate had expired Strange argument, since they raised my rate earlier in the year also Nonetheless, the representative I spoke to on the phone on December 5, 2016, said that if I dropped the TV service and kept only my internet service, that my monthly service charge would drop from $to $ So I unhooked my three TV boxes and drove to the Huntsville service center on December 6th and turned them in When my December bill came in, Wow had RAISED my monthly service charge from $to $ I called again on January 1, 2016, to find out why I was told that when they cancelled my TV service that they (without my consent) changed my internet speed from Mbps to Mbps, which was an additional $30/mo I asked that it be changed back to Mbps She actually made the technical change real-time

Wow cable has the worst customers service of any cable company I have ever been withI have been with cable companies since the 1970's and while most are bad, wow by far is the worst No consideration for the customer from day Came on board with wow in December, and the installation was screwed up so a second installation date had to be setI was TOLD not asked, TOLD when the rep would be out in a blunt, unprofessional voice mailOnly manager, treated the situation with any courtesy and that was Joe ***, who Wow subsequently forced outChecks are regularly cashed late, when mailed and you are charged a fee if you BRING IN THE CHECK TO THE OFFICE!!!!!!
It got so bad, I had to send the last with delivery confirmation and tracking to prove when it actually arrived.and of course the customer service rep Jeanine, didn't seem to know how I knew when it got to WOWLast month.6/21, sent a payment that only was cashed 7/27!!!!
Tried to get a simple reduction of the number of movie channels I had, was told by a rep Porcia, yes, Porcia, that it would be handled, and a month later was still getting billed for the cancelled channels!
It wasn't until 7/that I was able to get resolvedThe customer service experience was awfulLow pay is clearly the order of the day, and the customer gets what wow pays forPoorly educated reps with limited vocabularies and terrible diction, ' Axe" if they can help you, but never can and then begins the process of being bounced from one uninformed rep / manager to another, with names like, "Porcia", and "Tiger"
No I am not kidding!
It is almost as though it is deliberate, hoping the customer will become so frustrated that they will just go away and accept the problem rather then struggle endlessly on hold, bounced from person to anotherI would never recommend this company, and only have it because they have contracted with my apartment complex., how wow gets a lot of its business, leaving residents who would prefer cable, no real choiceI will be switching to a satellite provider soon, as I have had enough of the apathy from what laughingly is called customer service at Wow
