Charged years for service never requested
In the Fall of 2016, I had attended college and purchased a temporary online book from Chegg.com while using my father's credit card I only needed just the text book, and did not request any further programs or offers from the company Two years later, my father asks if I'm still eating with my "Chegg account." I find out that I was enrolled into a study guide assistance program with Chegg.com that was charging my father for the last years When I called to request a refund for an offer I never wanted, I was told I could only have the last charge refunded and to contact my credit card's banking establishment

Chegg.com is not a reliable website to get homework helpI got tutor services before and they are not even well prepared to help studentsAlso, I cancelled services and I still get charge a fee because my debit card is on fileThey can charge any time they want so I have to keep checking my account and dispute itI got charge for tutor services I did not receivedAlso, I got charge for membership I did not useI am a student and I can't afford to waste money this way

I cancelled my monthly membership and they continue to bill me I have also discovered they have been double billing me

Unethical practices in billing
My son rented a textbook from the company using my credit card in He recently tried a "free trial" online with the company and did not read the fine printIt was a free trial with strings attachedHe did not cancel it so they changed MY credit card because they had it on file from They charged my card from Sept2016-January before I questioned my husband about the chargeWe spent hours on hold listening to excruciating music waiting to talk to someone at the companyThen we would be cut offWe finally reached someone today after another minute waitAfter a long discussion, they refunded one month of the moneyThey did not have permission to charge my card a second timeThey emailed my son at an email no longer in use because he is not in school anymoreIf this practice is legal, it is certainly unethicalI told the customer service representative that I should not have been charged

I purchased some college textbooks from Chegg after hearing from my sister that they are the best place to get them based on price and service and man was she right! I ordered four textbooks for my freshman year fall semester and it turned out that I wasn't going to need three of them based on my professorsI then went back onto Chegg to see if I could get a refund for the books, and sure enough I could get a full refund for all my books since I was returning them within days of recieving themI mailed them in on a Monday and by Thursday of that same week, the money was already in my accountThe process was quick and easy for buying and returning as well as getting my refundThis experience has made me a Chegg customer for life(Or at least as my time as a student!)

My student used this service a couple of times and did not find it helpful I had canceled the subscription, but they continue to charge my credit card every month I can contacted them multiple times but they continue to charge my card I even cancelled and replaced my credit card and weeks later got another charge from themI had to cancel my card againI did an online chat with Lori from the company and she said that she did not see a membership under my email even though I was currently logged in under that email She then advised me to contact the company via a phone number she provided

On 10/4/I went on chegg.com to get help on a homework problemI was assigned a tutor whom which Is supposed to help and do it in a timely manor because you are charged minutelyAfter the problem had started, the tutor said he was still working on the problem and to give him more minutes, then he kept responding with more minutes, and so forthmeanwhile, It didn't look like he was working on it at allafter waiting for about an hour, I kept trying to tell the tutor that I wanted to end the session because it was costing too much money, which was being charged on my credit card automatically, and I kept sending him messages but wasn't getting anything in responseI finally left the tutor session and never got any answer to my problemI formed a complaint for a refund with the chegg customer service and they wouldn't give me one because somewhere on the way I had clicked a "thumbs up" button on the webs
