Good Afternoon, We would like to provide more information regarding Case #[redacted] for [redacted], a complaint currently being reported as “Closed as Unresolved”. A detailed resolution was provided to Mr. [redacted] via telephone on March 6, 2017. Copied below is a recap of our advocates conversation with Mr. [redacted]: Advised the bank will not remove the credit inquiry since Mr. [redacted] did apply for the credit card. I did confirm the second credit inquiry was removed since the application was declined for the same reason - unable to verify references. However, the application was submitted by Mr. [redacted] and credit must be pulled to be in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting guideline. Mr. [redacted] understood the Bank's stance. He did state he will pursue the matter further as he feels the bank treated him unfairly. We have fully addressed Mr. [redacted]’s concerns and request this complaint status be updated accordingly. I feel that Closed as Unresolved is a correct conclusion. The letter stated as sent was an envelope with the same documents sent prior and still not a true resolution to my claim. As a customer of Citizen's Bank for over a decade I am upset by the lack of empathy and understanding of such a large company. I had divorced someone who then took advantage and destroyed a bank account by his own means. I have not had contact with this person in over 3 years and I will never have contact with him again to even try and re-coop the money that was so easily taken from myself and my family. Instead of the guilty party suffering, instead, I have to now suffer by losing over $500.00. I had no warning and I feel like a victim in this situation.
