Extremely misleading pricing tacticsCustomer service that hides behind a website, instead of an actual call centerScammers all over the siteProperty owners do not have to fill out any information on their room, which tethers you along, waiting for a replyA complete waste of time and money

I signed up for a $day trial to *** and provided my Credit card (MC) information I have then been charged various charges at the beginning of every month since I provided my credit card in March for the 15-day trial ($20.37) and have since received the following charges:
-3/**/- $
-4/*/- $
-5/*/- $
-6/*/- $
I disabled my account in April and the charges continued I cancelled my account in May and the charges continued I have contact *** *** and they only provide support for active accounts (which I had to disable because of the continuous charges) I no longer have an account and am still receiving charges to my credit card!

They've randomly charged my card $I only signed up for $4.95! It's impossible to get ahold of customer serviceAnd they have tons of con artists on their siteI want my money back ASAP

I ordered a "Day Trial" membershipIn tiny letters in the confirmation email, it stated that my day trial would become a full membership and charge my card $per monthI hadn't realized this, and so my card was charged $3x for services I didn't use
I contacted customer service to request a refundI could only contact customer service through the website, no phone number was listedThey agreed to refund the most recent charge, October *, but did not even acknowledge my requests for a refund for the month of September - a month when I never logged into the site or used it in any way

100% SCAM, I've run into these sleaze bags multiple times over the yearsThis time, I did some sleuthing and found multiple profiles using the same picture and description in multiple cities and states Further, I've come across NUMEROUS affiliate postings on *** in the past week, where a seemingly legitimate ad directs the user to a disguised shorturl to "send a message", or "find out more" etc, which then redirects to the roomster signup pageFake fake fake fake fakeTheir entire business plan is to lure you into signing up for a trial period which then abruptly converts to a subscription, and they hope you'll just give up and let them keep the moneyThe scummiest of all ss, should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law

The only reason I'm giving them stars instead of is because I did eventually receive a pro-rated refund, but only after I pressed them about a passage in their own Terms of Service saying I was entitled to one
I signed up for a day trial and forgot to cancel before the next billing periodObviously, that's on me, but I contacted customer service anyway to see if I could get a refundNot only was CS slow to respond (average wait time was about minutes per message), but their replies were extremely curt and tactless, essentially amounting to "not our problem." Again, their Terms of Service specifically mention pro-rated refunds for people in my exact situation, but CS was more than content to ignore this fact until I found their refund policy in the TOSEven when I brought it up, they claimed I was ineligibleWhen I asked for clarification, mentioning Revdex.com reviews from other users who had received refunds, they finally relented
Their final email states they "want to be as clear and transparent...as possible," but Customer service was anything butI'm just glad I used my Paypal account instead of an actual credit card

This business charges auto renewals without proper notificationThey claim to send reminders but they do not

I filed a complaint about a week ago when this company charged me $for absolutely nothing, without my permission Today I checked my credit card again and see that on or about Nov *** they charged me another $ I have NO idea what they are claiming the charges are for, but I never authorized them, have received no services from this company, and do not want any services from them They are engaging in some kind of deceptive practice that is seriously fraudulent and dishonest

I recently posted a ad on ***, I get a bogus email from a "person" claiming they were interested and I opened her email and it had info about Roomster, so I started to looking to it and I thought it seemed legit I opened an account, posted my room available to rent and while dealing with the site, it was a terrible experience
The site was SO slow! It took me over an hour just to make a profile Then I started to get non stop emails Almost emails in hours Most of them saying the exact same thing They kept sending me messages telling me I had unread messages, so when I clinked on the link, I'm not kidding, it took over minutes for the site to open Then it popped up- day- $days-$days- $50!!!!! (I'm rounding the numbers) But $for days???? WHAT? Of course I couldn't open my messages, but that didn't stop the system from non stop emails I clicked unsubscribe and that of course took another minutes
Also, I tried this on other connections, computers and tried shutting my system down and nothing worked It was a terrible experience
I sent their customer support a message telling them how frustrated I am Telling them I'm frustrated with their slow system Their cost Their trick on messaging and the constant emails
I get a message shortly after I sent that saying they deleted my account because they didn't like my email In no way did I swear at them, use abusive language or threaten them I told them the truth and the frustration from a customers point of view
Please, ask them to POST my original email If they can't handle a customer who is having a terrible experience with their site, maybe this isn't the best line of work for them

Roomster is continuously posting ads for apartments and roommate situations on craigslist and other venues in an attempt to get people to sign up and use their app This is advertising and a deceptive way to try to dry people to buy and use their app
I plan on pursuing legal action action this company as well

The billing system was unnecessarily complicated to understand, and when it looked like I was charged $three times on the same day I reached out to Customer Support with an email I got an unhelpful response that then threatened to take my charge to a collection agency if I didn't pay for my monthly membership I replied stating that I'm not looking to avoid a payment that I legitimately owe, but that their billing system was confusing Other replies from them were confusing and seemed to be copied and pasted from parts of their policy which did not directly address my question I called their number and got a voice recorded answer which replayed three times and then hung up, not allowing me to leave a message to speak with someone

the company automatically signs you up to pay $a monthThey are scam artistsSomeone shut them down

Roomster has trial membership which will lead to automatic subscription at the end of those days I went to go cancel it the day it expired and they charged me at noon I told them that I tried to cancel it at that time and they went ahead with it There is no way to contact them Any link to their "contact us" or any information gets re-routed back to the home page You can only "chat" with them through messages They refused to cooperate
They are also creating bots on their website that are spamming Craigslist 95% of the "people" looking for roommates or people to rent rooms are 100% fake They are creating listings on craigslist, and the contact information goes to a roomster link, and then they ask you to pay to use it

Dear Sir or Madame,
I was looking for new housing on *** when I came across an ad for a room for rentI contacted the person through *** and was directed to ***Well, I logged back into Roomster and then I received a messageWell in order to read the message I had to pay Roomster $trial fee for five days It did say that when the trial was up that there would be a charge of $for a monthly subscriptionI didn't want that but when I went on to Roomster to try to cancel it the day before the trial was up I couldn't find out how
The next day I received an e-mail from PayPal that I have been charged for the monthly feeI contacted Roomster to see about getting a refund but all I got was a standard message about how when I signed up that at the end of the trial that I would go to the monthly membership and be charged $I wanted to cancel but they wouldn't cancel and refund my moneyI was able to cancel the membership but they would refund my mo

I signed up whit this company for a three day hour trial It was to rent a home to another party I canceled the account and was then charged for a day plan with them I tries to get a reversal or at the very least get the days added to a new account as I deleted and canceled the previous account not knowing I was charged for the day account Before I canceled there was a transaction feature to tell me where and when I was on their account I contacted them multiple times with no response but when I tried to get back on they responded promptly with info about my account noy having pics and of the sort.they never offered a phone number to talk directly the only form of contact is by support which required a account to even send a message All I would like is a reversal of the charge which is well within hours of the bank charge I even offered to just let me keep the account but I really don't want that at this point

I cancelled my Roomster subscription in JanuaryI was billed yesterday (April *, 2017)I was billed for a month that I did not have an active accountOnce you cancel, they aren't supposed to bill you againThis is in their agreementWhen I sent them a message, they didn't respondThey don't have a customer service line to call to ask questions
This business to me is suspectThey don't have a clear way to resolve issues, and they certainly have plenty of complaints (see the others on this website)I would recommend that people don't use this service in the future
Their policy is unclear, and they don't follow through with their agreement

Charged me $after I cancelled my accountI do not give them permission to charge meI want a FULL refundThay are a rip off companyscam

This company tricks you into purchasing their lower price products then blindly charges you there dollar fee twice which can go un seenThey then don't give you a full refund because of their practicesThey pro rate to keep something

Roomster is a scam and I'm not sure why they haven't been shut downBasically, you need to pay them to read your messages and right after signing up, they bombard you with messages from fake profiles

I signed up for a day membership, and have been continuously billed each month, even after attempting to cancel I contacted customer service twice via email, their preferred method, with no response I also attempted to call them, I reached a "suggestion" voicemail, after trying multiple menu options to reach an actual human with no success, and left full details or them to contact me back In the message I let them know that if they did not attempt to contact me or resolve the issue I would take matters further Within the past week I have been billed again
